¹And having called together the twelve, he gave them power and authority over all demons, and to heal diseases,

¹တကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးသော တပည့်တော်တို့ကို စုဝေးစေတော်မူပြီးမှ၊ နတ်ဆိုးအပေါင်းတို့ကို နိုင်သောတန်ခိုး နှင့် အနာရောဂါတို့ကို ငြိမ်းစေခြင်းငှါ အခွင့်တန်ခိုးကို ပေးတော်မူ၏။

²and sent them to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.

²ဘုရားသခင်၏ နိုင်ငံတော်အကြောင်းကို ဟောပြောစေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း၊ လူနာတို့ကို ချမ်းသာစေခြင်းငှါ၎င်း စေလွှတ်တော်မူ၍၊

³And he said to them, Take nothing for the way, neither staff, nor scrip, nor bread, nor money; nor to have two body-coats apiece.

³သင်တို့သည် လမ်းခရီးဘို့ အဘယ်အရာကိုမျှမယူကြနှင့်။ တောင်ဝေး၊ လွယ်အိတ်၊ မုန့်၊ ငွေကို မယူကြ နှင့်။ အင်္ကျီနှစ်ထည်ကိုလည်း မပါစေကြနှင့်။

⁴And into whatsoever house ye enter, there abide and thence go forth.

⁴မည်သည့် အိမ်သို့ဝင်လျှင် ထိုအိမ်တွင် ထိုအရပ်မှ မထွက်မသွားမှီတိုင်အောင်နေကြလော့။ အကြင်သူ တို့သည် သင်တို့အားဧည့်သည်ဝတ်ကို မပြုဘဲနေ၏။

⁵And as many as may not receive you, going forth from that city, shake off even the dust from your feet for a witness against them.

⁵ထိုသူတို့နေရာမြို့မှ ထွက်သွားစဉ်၊ သူတို့တဘက်၌ သက်သေဖြစ်စေခြင်းငှါ သင်တို့၏ခြေဘဝါးမှ မြေမှုန့်ကို ခါလိုက်ကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁶And going forth they passed through the villages, announcing the glad tidings and healing everywhere.

⁶တပည့်တော်တို့သည် ထွက်သွား၍ ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို ဟောလျက်၊ ခပ်သိမ်းသောအရပ်တို့၌ အနာ ရောဂါကိုငြိမ်းစေလျက်၊ မြို့ရွာတို့တွင် ဒေသစာရီ လှည့်လည်ကြ၏။

⁷And Herod the tetrarch heard of all the things which were done [by him], and was in perplexity, because it was said by some that John was risen from among [the] dead,

⁷ယေရှုပြုတော်မူသမျှတို့ကို စော်ဘွားဟေရုဒ်သည်ကြားလျှင် တွေးတောသောစိတ်ရှိ၏။ အကြောင်းမူ ကား၊ လူအချို့က၊ ယောဟန်သည် သေခြင်းမှထမြောက်လေပြီဟု ဆိုကြ၏။

⁸and by some that Elias had appeared, and by others that one of the old prophets had risen again.

⁸အချို့ကဧလိယပေါ်ထွန်းပြီဟု ဆိုကြ၏။ အချို့ကရှေးပရောဖက်တပါးပါးထပြန်ပြီဟုဆိုကြ၏။

⁹And Herod said, John *I* have beheaded, but who is this of whom I hear such things? and he sought to see him.

⁹ဟေရုဒ်မင်းကလည်း၊ ယောဟန်၏လည်ပင်းကို ငါဖြတ်လေပြီ။ ဤမျှလောက်သောသိတင်းကို ငါကြား ရသော ဤသူကား အဘယ်သူနည်းဟုဆိုလျက်ယေရှုကို မြင်ခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိ၏။

¹⁰And the apostles having returned related to him whatever they had done. And he took them and withdrew apart into [a desert place of] a city called Bethsaida.

¹⁰တမန်တော်တို့သည် အထံတော်သို့ပြန်လာ၍ မိမိတို့ပြုသမျှတို့ကို ကြားလျှောက်ကြ၏။ ကိုယ်တော် သည် သူတို့ကိုခေါ်၍၊ ဗက်ဇဲဒမြို့နယ်အတွင်း တော၌ဆိတ်ကွယ်ရာအရပ်သို့ကြွတော်မူ၏။ လူအစုအဝေးတို့ သည် သိလျှင် နောက်တော်သို့ လိုက်ကြ၏။

¹¹But the crowds knowing [it] followed him; and he received them and spake to them of the kingdom of God, and cured those that had need of healing.

¹¹ထိုလူများကို လက်ခံတော်မူလျက်၊ ဘုရားသခင့် နိုင်ငံတော်၏အကြောင်းကို ဟောပြော၍၊ နာသော သူတို့ကို ချမ်းသာပေးတော်မူ၏။

¹²But the day began to decline, and the twelve came and said to him, Send away the crowd that they may go into the villages around, and [into] the fields, and lodge and find victuals, for here we are in a desert place.

¹²မိုဃ်းချုပ်သောအခါ တကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးသောသူတို့သည် ချည်းကပ်လျက်၊ လူများတို့သည် ပတ်ဝန်းကျင်ရွာ ဇနပုဒ်သို့သွား၍၊ အိပ်ရာ၊ စားစရာကို ရှာစေခြင်းငှါ အခွင့်ပေးတော်မူပါ။ ဤအရပ်သည် တောအရပ်ဖြစ်ပါ၏ ဟု လျှောက်ကြလျှင်၊

¹³And he said to them, Give *ye them to eat. And they said, We have not more than five loaves and two fishes, unless *we* should go and buy food for all this people;

¹³ကိုယ်တော်က၊ သူတို့စားစရာဘို့ သင်တို့ပေးကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ တပည့်တော်တို့ကလည်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည်သွား၍ ဤလူအပေါင်းတို့ စားစရာဘို့မဝယ်လျှင်၊ မုန့်ငါးလုံးနှင့် ငါးနှစ်ကောင်မှတပါး အဘယ် စားစရာမျှ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့၌ မရှိပါဟုလျှောက်ကြ၏။

¹⁴for they were about five thousand men. And he said to his disciples, Make them sit down in companies by fifties.

¹⁴ထိုသို့လျှောက်သည်အကြောင်းကား၊ လူငါးထောင်ခန့်မျှ ရှိသတည်း။ ထိုအခါလူများတို့ကို တစုလျှင် ငါးဆယ်စီအစုစုလျောင်းကြစေဟု အမိန့်တော်ရှိ၏။

¹⁵And they did so, and made them all sit down.

¹⁵တပည့်တော်တို့သည် အမိန့်တော်အတိုင်းပြု၍၊ လူအပေါင်းတို့ကို လျောင်းစေပြီးလျှင်၊

¹⁶And taking the five loaves and the two fishes, looking up to heaven he blessed them, and broke and gave to the disciples to set before the crowd.

¹⁶ယေရှုသည် မုန့်ငါးလုံးနှင့် ငါးနှစ်ကောင်ကိုယူ၍ ကောင်းကင်သို့ကြည့်မျှော်လျက်၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းပြီးမှ မုန့်ကိုဖဲ့၍ လူများရှေ့၌ ထည့်စေခြင်းငှါ တပည့်တော်တို့အားပေးတော်မူ၏။

¹⁷And they all ate and were filled; and there was taken up of what had remained over and above to them in fragments twelve hand-baskets.

¹⁷လူအပေါင်းတို့သည် စား၍ဝကြပြီးမှ ကြွင်းရစ်သောအကျိုးအပဲ့ကိုကောက်သိမ်း၍ တဆယ်နှစ်တောင်း အပြည့်ရကြ၏။

¹⁸And it came to pass as he was praying alone, his disciples were with him, and he asked them saying, Who do the crowds say that I am?

¹⁸တရံရောအခါ၊ ယေရှုသည် တပည့်တော်တို့နှင့်တကွ ဆိတ်ကွယ်ရာအရပ်၌ ဆုတောင်းတော်မူစဉ်၊ လူများတို့သည် ငါ့ကိုအဘယ်သူဖြစ်သည်ကို ဆိုကြသနည်းဟု မေးမြန်းတော်မူလျှင်၊

¹⁹But they answering said, John the baptist; but others, Elias; and others, that one of the old prophets has risen again.

¹⁹လူအချို့က၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဗတ္တိဇံဆရာ ယောဟန်ဖြစ်သည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ အချို့က၊ ဧလိယဖြစ်သည် ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ အချို့က၊ ရှေးပရောဖက် တပါးပါးထပြန်သည်ဟူ၍၎င်း ဆိုကြပါ၏ဟု လျှောက်ကြသော်၊

²⁰And he said to them, But *ye*, who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering said, The Christ of God.

²⁰သင်တို့လည်း ငါ့ကို အဘယ်သူဖြစ်သည်ဆိုကြသနည်းဟု မေးမြန်းတော်မူလျှင်၊ ပေတရုက၊ ကိုယ်တော် သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ ခရစ်တော်ဖြစ်တော်မူသည်ဟု လျှောက်လေ၏။

²¹But, earnestly charging them, he enjoined [them] to say this to no man,

²¹ထိုအကြောင်းကို အဘယ်သူအားမျှ မပြောစိမ့်သောငှါ တပည့်တော်တို့ကို ကြပ်တည်းစွာ ပညတ်တော် မူ၏။

²²saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.

²²ထိုမှတပါး၊ လူသားသည် များစွာခံရမည်။ လူအကြီးအကဲ၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီး၊ ကျမ်းပြုဆရာတို့၏ ငြင်းပယ်ခြင်းကို၎င်း၊ အသေသတ်ခြင်းကို၎င်း ခံရမည်။ သုံးရက်မြောက်သောနေ့၌ ထမြောက်လိမ့်မည်ဟူသော အကြောင်းများတို့ကို မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²³And he said to [them] all, If any one will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me;

²³ထိုမှတပါး၊ လူအပေါင်းတို့အား မိန့်တော်မူသည်ကား၊ ငါ၌ဆည်းကပ်လိုသောသူဖြစ်လျှင် ကိုယ်ကို ကိုယ် ငြင်းပယ်ရမည်။ ကိုယ်လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်ကို နေ့တိုင်းထမ်း၍ ငါ့နောက်သို့လိုက်ရမည်။

²⁴for whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake, *he* shall save it.

²⁴အကြင်သူသည် မိမိအသက်ကို ကယ်ဆယ်ခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိ၏။ ထိုသူသည် အသက်ရှုံးလိမ့်မည်။ အကြင်သူသည် ငါ့ကြောင့်အသက်ရှုံး၏၊ ထိုသူသည် မိမိအသက်ကို ကယ်ဆယ်လိမ့်မည်။

²⁵For what shall a man profit if he shall have gained the whole world, and have destroyed, or come under the penalty of the loss of himself?

²⁵ဤစကြာဝဠာကို အကြွင်းမဲ့အစိုးရ၍ ကိုယ်ကို ကိုယ်ဆုံးရှုံးသောသူသည် အဘယ်ကျေးဇူးရှိသနည်။

²⁶For whosoever shall have been ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of man be ashamed when he shall come in his glory, and [in that] of the Father, and of the holy angels.

²⁶အကြင်သူသည် ငါ့ကို၎င်း၊ ငါ့စကားကို၎င်းရှက်၏၊ လူသားသည် မိမိဘုန်း၊ မိမိအဘခမည်းတော်၏ ဘုန်း၊ သန့်ရှင်းသောကောင်းကင်တမန်တို့၏ဘုန်းကို ဆောင်လျက်ကြွလာသောအခါ၊ ထိုသူကို ရှက်တော် မူလတံ့။

²⁷But I say unto you of a truth, There are some of those standing here who shall not taste death until they shall have seen the kingdom of God.

²⁷ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ဤအရပ်၌ရှိသော သူအချို့တို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ နိုင်ငံတော်ကို မမြင်မှီ သေ ခြင်းသို့ မရောက်ရကြဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²⁸And it came to pass after these words, about eight days, that taking Peter and John and James he went up into a mountain to pray.

²⁸ထိုသို့မိန့်တော်မူသည်နောက်၊ ရှစ်ရက်လောက်လွန်သောအခါ၊ ယေရှုသည်ပေတရု၊ ယောဟန်၊ ယာကုပ် တို့ကိုခေါ်၍ ဆုတောင်းခြင်းငှါ တောင်ပေါ်သို့ တက်ကြွတော်မူ၏။

²⁹And as he prayed the fashion of his countenance became different and his raiment white [and] effulgent.

²⁹ဆုတောင်းတော်မူစဉ်တွင် မျက်နှာတော်သည် ထူးခြားသောအဆင်းအရောင်ရှိ၍၊ အဝတ်တော်လည်း ပြောင်ပြောင်လက်လက်ဖြူ၏။

³⁰And lo, two men talked with him, who were Moses and Elias,

³⁰မောရှေနှင့်ဧလိယတည်းဟူသော လူနှစ်ယောက်တို့သည် ဘုန်းအသရေနှင့်ထင်ရှား၍၊

³¹who, appearing in glory, spoke of his departure which he was about to accomplish in Jerusalem.

³¹ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်အတူဆွေးနွေးလျက် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၌ စုတေ့တော်မူမည်အကြောင်းအရာကို ပြော ကြ၏။

³²But Peter and those with him were oppressed with sleep: but having fully awoke up they saw his glory, and the two men who stood with him.

³²ပေတရုနှင့် သူ၏အဘော်တို့သည် မျက်စိလေးလန်သဖြင့် တငိုက်ငိုက်ရှိကြ၏၊ နိုးသောအခါ ဘုန်း အသရေတော်ကို၎င်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်နှင့် ရပ်နေသောလူနှစ်ယောက်ကို၎င်း မြင်ကြ၏။

³³And it came to pass as they departed from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles, one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.

³³ထိုသူတို့သည် အထံတော်မှသွားကြစဉ်၊ ပေတရုက၊ သခင်၊ ဤအရပ်၌နေဘွယ်ကောင်းပါ၏။ ကိုယ် တော်ဘို့တဲတဆောင်၊ မောရှေဘို့တဆောင်။ ဧလိယဘို့တဆောင်၊ တဲသုံးဆောင်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ဆောက်လုပ် ပါရစေဟု ယောင်ယမ်း၍ လျှောက်လေ၏။

³⁴But as he was saying these things, there came a cloud and overshadowed them, and they feared as they entered into the cloud:

³⁴ထိုသို့လျှောက်ပြီးမှ မိုဃ်းတိမ်သည် သူတို့ကိုလွှမ်းမိုး၍၊ မောရှေနှင့် ဧလိယသည်တိမ်ထဲသို့ဝင်သည်ကို တပည့်တော်တို့သည် ကြောက်ခြင်းရှိကြသည်ဖြစ်၍၊

³⁵and there was a voice out of the cloud saying, *This* is my beloved Son: hear him.

³⁵ဤသူကား ငါ၏ချစ်သားပေတည်း။ သူ၏ စကားကိုနားထောင်ကြလော့ဟု မိုဃ်းတိမ်က အသံတော် ဖြစ်လေ၏။

³⁶And as the voice was [heard] Jesus was found alone: and *they* kept silence, and told no one in those days any of the things they had seen.

³⁶ထိုအသံတော်ဖြစ်သည် ခဏခြင်းတွင်၊ ယေရှုသည် တယောက်တည်းရှိတော်မူ၏။ တပည့်တော်တို့ သည် မိမိတို့မြင်သောအရာကိုဝှက်ထား၍၊ ထိုကာလ၌ အဘယ်သူအားမျှမကြားမပြောဘဲနေကြ၏။

³⁷And it came to pass on the following day, when they came down from the mountain, a great crowd met him.

³⁷နက်ဖြန်နေ့၌ တောင်ပေါ်ကဆင်းကြပြီးလျှင်၊ များစွာသောလူအစုအဝေးသည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို ခရီး ဦးကြိုပြု၏။

³⁸And lo, a man from the crowd cried out saying, Teacher, I beseech thee look upon my son, for he is mine only child:

³⁸လူအစုအဝေး၌ ပါသောသူတယောက်က၊ အရှင်ဘုရား၊ အကျွန်ုပ်၏သားကို ကြည့်ရှုတော်မူမည် အကြောင်း အကျွန်ုပ်တောင်းပန်ပါ၏။ အကျွန်ုပ်၌ သားတယောက်တည်းရှိပါ၏။

³⁹and behold, a spirit takes him, and suddenly he cries out, and it tears him with foaming, and with difficulty departs from him after crushing him.

³⁹နတ်ဘမ်းစားသဖြင့် သူသည်ရုတ်ခနဲအော်ဟစ်၍၊ အမြှုတ်ထွက်လျက်တောင့်မာခြင်းသို့ ရောက်တတ် ပါ၏။ ထိုသို့ နာကျင်စွာနှိပ်စက်ပြီးမှ နတ်သည်အလွန် သွားခဲ၏။

⁴⁰And I besought thy disciples that they might cast him out, and they could not.

⁴⁰ထိုနတ်ကို နှင်ထုတ်ပါမည်အကြောင်း တပည့်တော်တို့အား အကျွန်ုပ်တောင်းပန်သော်လည်း သူတို့ သည် မတတ်နိုင်ကြပါဟု အော်ဟစ်လျက် လျှောက်လေ၏။

⁴¹And Jesus answering said, O unbelieving and perverted generation, how long shall I be with you and suffer you? Bring hither thy son.

⁴¹ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ယုံကြည်ခြင်းမရှိ၊ ဖောက်ပြန်သောအမျိုး၊ ငါသည်သင်တို့နှင့်အတူ အဘယ်မျှ ကာလ ပတ်လုံး နေရမည်နည်း။ သင်တို့ကို အဘယ်မျှ ကာလပတ်လုံး သည်းခံရမည်နည်း။ သင်၏သားကို ငါ့ထံသို့ ယူခဲ့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁴²But as he was yet coming, the demon tore him and dragged him all together. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child and gave him back to his father.

⁴²သူငယ်လာစဉ်ပင်နတ်ဆိုးသည် မြေပေါ်မှာလှဲ၍ တောင့်မာစေ၏။ ယေရှုသည် ညစ်ညူးသောနတ်ကို ဆုံးမ၍ ထိုသူငယ်ကို ချမ်းသာစေပြီးမှ အဘအား အပ်ပေးတော်မူ၏။

⁴³And all were astonished at the glorious greatness of God. And as all wondered at all the things which [Jesus] did, he said to his disciples,

⁴³လူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏ မဟာတန်ခိုးတော်ကို မြင်၍ မိန်းမောတွေဝေခြင်းရှိကြ၏။

⁴⁴Do *ye* let these words sink into your ears. For the Son of man is about to be delivered into men's hands.

⁴⁴ထိုသို့ယေရှုပြုတော်မူသမျှကို လူအပေါင်းတို့သည် အံ့ဩချီးမွမ်းကြစဉ် တပည့်တော်တို့အား၊ သင်တို့ သည် ငါ့စကားကို နားထောင်မှတ်မိကြလော့။ လူသားကို လူတို့လက်သို့ အပ်နှံရသောအချိန်နီးပြီဟု မိန့်တော် မူ၏။

⁴⁵But they understood not this saying, and it was hid from them that they should not perceive it. And they feared to ask him concerning this saying.

⁴⁵ထိုစကားတော်၏ အနက်မထင်ရှားသဖြင့် တပည့်တော်တို့သည် နားမလည်မရိပ်မိဘဲနေကြ၏။ အနက် ကိုလည်းမမေးမလျှောက်ဝံ့ကြ။

⁴⁶And a reasoning came in amongst them, who should be [the] greatest of them.

⁴⁶ထိုအခါ အဘယ်သူသည် သာ၍ကြီးမြတ်အံ့နည်းဟု တပည့်တော်တို့သည် အချင်းချင်းငြင်းခုံကြ၏။

⁴⁷And Jesus, seeing the reasoning of their heart, having taken a little child set it by him,

⁴⁷ယေရှုသည် သူတို့အကြံအစည်ကို သိမြင်လျှင်၊ သူငယ်တယောက်ကိုယူ၍ မိမိအနား၌ထားပြီးမှ၊

⁴⁸and said to them, Whosoever shall receive this little child in my name receives me, and whosoever shall receive me receives him that sent me. For he who is the least among you all, *he* is great.

⁴⁸အကြင်သူသည် ငါ့မျက်နှာကိုထောက်၍ ဤသူငယ်ကိုလက်ခံ၏၊ ထိုသူသည် ငါ့ကိုပင်လက်ခံ၏။ ငါ့ကို လက်ခံသောသူသည်လည်း ငါ့ကိုစေလွှတ်တော်မူသောသူကိုပင်လက်ခံ၏။ သင်တို့တွင် အငယ်ဆုံး သောသူ သည်သာ၍ကြီးမြတ်သော သူဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁴⁹And John answering said, Master, we saw some one casting out demons in thy name, and we forbad him, because he follows not with us.

⁴⁹ယောဟန်ကလည်း၊ သခင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏ နာမကို အမှီပြု၍ နတ်ဆိုးတို့ကို နှင်ထုတ်သောသူ တယောက်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့တွေ့ပါ၏။ သူသည် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့နှင့်အတူ မလိုက်သောကြောင့် အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ မြစ် တားကြပါ၏ဟု လျှောက်သော်၊

⁵⁰And Jesus said to him, Forbid [him] not, for he that is not against you is for you.

⁵⁰ယေရှုက၊ ထိုသူကိုမမြစ်တားကြနှင့်။ သင်တို့ ရန်သူဘက်၌မရှိသောသူသည် သင်တို့ဘက်၌ရှိသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁵¹And it came to pass when the days of his receiving up were fulfilled, that *he* stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.

⁵¹ကောင်းကင်သို့ဆောင်ယူခြင်းကို ခံတော်မူသောအချိန်ရောက်သောအခါ၊ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့ တူရူကြွ အံ့သောငှါ သဘောထားတော်မူ၏။

⁵²And he sent messengers before his face. And having gone they entered into a village of the Samaritans that they might make ready for him.

⁵²ရှေ့တော်သို့ တမန်တော်တို့ကို စေလွှတ်တော်မူသဖြင့်၊ သူတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်၏အဘို့ကို ပြင်ဆင် ခြင်းငှါသွား၍ ရှမာရိရွာတရွာသို့ဝင်ကြ၏။

⁵³And they did not receive him, because his face was [turned as] going to Jerusalem.

⁵³ကိုယ်တော်သည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့သွားအံ့သော အခြင်းအရာကို ထိုရွာသားတို့သည် ထောက်၍ လက်မခံကြ။

⁵⁴And his disciples James and John seeing [it] said, Lord, wilt thou that we speak [that] fire come down from heaven and consume them, as also Elias did?

⁵⁴ထိုအကြောင်းကို တပည့်တော်ယာကုပ်၊ ယောဟန်တို့သည်မြင်လျှင်၊ သခင်၊ ဧလိယပြုသကဲ့သို့ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ကောင်းကင်မှမီးကျစေ၍ ထိုသူတို့ကို လောင်းစေခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိတော်မူသလောဟု လျှောက် ကြသော်၊

⁵⁵But turning he rebuked them [and said, Ye know not of what spirit ye are].

⁵⁵ယေရှုသည် လှည့်ကြည့်၍၊ သင်တို့သည် ကိုယ်စိတ်သဘောကို ကိုယ်မသိကြ၊ လူသားသည်လူတို့၏ အသက်ကို သတ်အံ့သောငှါ ကြွလာသည်မဟုတ်။ ကယ်တင်အံ့သောငှါကြွလာသည်ဟု ဆုံးမတော်မူပြီးမှ၊

⁵⁶And they went to another village.

⁵⁶အခြားသောရွာသို့ကြွတော်မူ၏။

⁵⁷And it came to pass as they went in the way, one said to him, I will follow thee wheresoever thou goest, Lord.

⁵⁷လမ်း၌သွားကြစဉ် လူတဦးက၊ သခင် ကိုယ်တော်ကြွတော်မူရာအရပ်ရပ်သို့ အကျွန်ုပ်လိုက်ပါမည်ဟု လျှောက်လေ၏။

⁵⁸And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes and the birds of the heaven roosting-places, but the Son of man has not where he may lay his head.

⁵⁸ယေရှုကလည်း၊ မြေခွေးသည်မြေတွင်းရှိ၏။ မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်၌ ကျင်လည်သော ငှက်သည် နားနေရာ အရပ်ရှိ၏ လူသားမူကား ခေါင်းချရာမျှမရှိဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁵⁹And he said to another, Follow me. But he said, Lord, allow me to go first and bury my father.

⁵⁹အခြားသောသူကို၊ ငါ့နောက်သို့လိုက်လော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျှင်၊ ထိုသူက၊ သခင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်အဘကို ရှေ့ဦးစွာသွား၍ သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ရသောအခွင့်ကို ပေးတော်မူပါဟု လျှောက်လေသော်၊

⁶⁰But Jesus said to him, Suffer the dead to bury their own dead, but do *thou* go and announce the kingdom of God.

⁶⁰ယေရှုက၊ လူသေတို့သည် မိမိလူသေတို့ကို သင်္ဂြိုဟ်ပါလေစေ။ သင်မူကားသွား၍ ဘုရားသခင့်နိုင်ငံ တော်၏အကြောင်းကို ဟောပြောလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁶¹And another also said, I will follow thee, Lord, but first allow me to bid adieu to those at my house.

⁶¹အခြားသောသူကလည်း၊ သခင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်နောက်သို့ အကျွန်ုပ်လိုက်ပါမည်။ သို့သော်လည်း အကျွန်ုပ်အိမ်၌ရှိရစ်သောသူတို့ကို အရင်သွား၍ အခွင့်ပန်ပါရစေဟု လျှောက်လျှင်၊

⁶²But Jesus said to him, No one having laid his hand on [the] plough and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God.

⁶²ယေရှုက၊ ထွန်ကိုင်းကို ကိုင်လျက်နောက်သို့ လှည့်၍ကြည့်သောသူမည်သည်ကား၊ ဘုရားသခင်၏ နိုင်ငံတော်နှင့် မထိုက်မတန်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
