¹Now the passover and the [feast of] unleavened bread was after two days. And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might seize him by subtlety and kill him.

¹ထိုနောက်နှစ်ရက်လွန်လျှင် ပသခါအဇုမပွဲရှိ၏။ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးတို့နှင့် ကျမ်းပြုဆရာတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို အဘယ်သို့ ပရိယာယ်အားဖြင့် ဘမ်းဆီး၍ သတ်ရအံ့နည်းဟု ရှာကြံကြ၏။

²For they said, Not in the feast, lest perhaps there be a tumult of the people.

²သို့သော်လည်း လူများတို့သည် ရုန်းရင်းခတ်ဖြစ်မည်ကို စိုးရိမ်၍ ပွဲနေ့တွင် မပြုနှင့်ဦးဟုပြောဆိုကြ၏။

³And when he was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper, as he lay at table, there came a woman having an alabaster flask of ointment of pure nard, very costly; and having broken the alabaster flask, she poured it out upon his head.

³ဗေသနိရွာတွင် ရှိမုန်အမည်ရှိသော လူနူ၏အိမ်၌ ကိုယ်တော်ရှိတော်မူသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ မိန်းမတယောက် သည် အဘိုးများစွာထိုက်သော နာဒုဆီမွှေးစစ်နှင့်ပြည့်သော ကျောက်ဖြူခွက်တလုံးကို ယူခဲ့၍ ကိုယ်တော်သည် စားပွဲနားမှာ လျောင်းတော်မစဉ်၊ ကျောက်ဖြူခွင်ကိုခွဲပြီးမှ ခေါင်းတော်ပေါ်၌ သွန်းလောင်းလေ၏။

⁴And there were some indignant in themselves, and saying, Why has this waste been made of the ointment?

⁴အချို့တို့သည် ဒေါသစိတ်ရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ထိုဆီမွှေးကို အဘယ်ကြောင့်အကျိုးမဲ့ဆုံးစေသနည်း။

⁵for this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii and given to the poor. And they spoke very angrily at her.

⁵ဒေနာရိအပြားသုံးရာမကသော အဘိုးနှင့်ရောင်း၍ ဆင်းရဲသောသူတို့အား ပေးစရာကောင်းသည်ဟု ဆို၍ ထိုမိန်းမကိုအပြစ်ထင်ကြ၏။

⁶But Jesus said, Let her alone; why do ye trouble her? she has wrought a good work as to me;

⁶ယေရှုကလည်းထိုမိန်းမကိုရှိစေတော့။ အဘယ်ကြောင့်နှောင့်ရှက်ကြသနည်း။ သူသည် ငါ၌ ကောင်းသောအမှုကို ပြုပြီ။

⁷for ye have the poor always with you, and whenever ye would ye can do them good; but me ye have not always.

⁷ဆင်းရဲသောသူတို့သည် သင်တို့၌အစဉ်ရှိကြ၏ သင်တို့အလိုရှိသည်အတိုင်း သူတို့အားကျေးဇူးပြုနိုင် ၏။ ငါမူကား သင်တို့၌အစဉ်ရှိသည်မဟုတ်။

⁸What *she* could she has done. She has beforehand anointed my body for the burial.

⁸ဤမိန်းမသည် တတ်နိုင်သမျှပြုပြီ။ ငါ့အလောင်းကို သင်္ဂြိုဟ်မည်ဟု ပြင်ဆင်ခြင်းငှါ၊ ငါ့ကိုယ်ကို ဆီမွှေး နှင့် လူးနှင့်သတည်း။

⁹And verily I say unto you, Wheresoever these glad tidings may be preached in the whole world, what this [woman] has done shall be also spoken of for a memorial of her.

⁹ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကို မြေတပြင်လုံးတွင်ဟောသောအရပ်ရပ်တို့၌ ဤမိန်းမကို အောက်မေ့စရာဘို့ သူပြုသောဤအမှုကို ကြားပြောရကြလတံ့ဟုမိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁰And Judas Iscariote, one of the twelve, went away to the chief priests that he might deliver him up to them;

¹⁰ထိုအခါ တပည့်တော်တကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးအဝင်ဖြစ်သော ယုဒရှကာရုတ်သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကိုအပ်ခြင်းငှါ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးတို့ထံသို့ သွားလေ၏။

¹¹and they, when they heard it, rejoiced, and promised him to give money. And he sought how he could opportunely deliver him up.

¹¹ထိုသူတို့သည် ကြားလျင်ဝမ်းမြောက်သောစိတ်ရှိ၍ ငွေပေးမည်ဟု ဝန်ခံကြ၏။ ထိုနောက် အဆင်သင့် သောအချိန်ကာလ၌ ကိုယ်တော်ကို အဘယ်သို့အပ်ရမည်နည်းဟု ရှာကြံလျက်နေ၏။

¹²And the first day of unleavened bread, when they slew the passover, his disciples say to him, Where wilt thou that we go and prepare, that thou mayest eat the passover?

¹²ပသခါသိုးငယ်ကို သတ်သောနေ့တည်းဟူသော အဇုမပွဲပဌမနေ့၌ တပည့်တော်တို့သည် အထံတော် သို့ ချဉ်းကပ်၍၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ပသခါပွဲကို စားတော်မူဘို့ရာ အဘယ်အရပ်၌ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် သွား၍ ပြင်ဆင်စေခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိတော်မူသနည်းဟု မေးလျှောက်ကြသော်၊

¹³And he sends two of his disciples, and says to them, Go into the city, and a man shall meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him.

¹³ကိုယ်တော်သည် တပည့်တော်နှစ်ယောက်တို့ကိုစေလွှတ်၍၊ သင်တို့သည် မြို့ထဲသို့သွားကြ။ ရေအိုး ဆောင်သောသူကို တွေ့လိမ့်မည်။ ထိုသူနောက်သို့ လိုက်၍၊

¹⁴And wheresoever he enters, say to the master of the house, The Teacher says, Where is my guest-chamber where I may eat the passover with my disciples?

¹⁴သူဝင်သော အိမ်သို့ဝင်ပြီးမှ၊ ငါသည် ငါ့တပည် တို့နှင့်တကွ ပသခါပွဲကို စားရသောဧည့်သည် အခန်း ကား၊ အဘယ်မှရှိသနည်း။ ဆရာက မေးသည်ဟု အိမ်ရှင်ကို ပြောကြလော့။

¹⁵and *he* will shew you a large upper room furnished ready. There make ready for us.

¹⁵ထိုသူသည် အသင့်ပြင်ဆင်လျက်ရှိသော အထက်အခန်းကြီးကိုပြလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုအခန်း၌ ငါတို့ဘို့ ပြင်ဆင်ကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁶And his disciples went away and came into the city, and found as he had said to them; and they made ready the passover.

¹⁶တပည့်တော်တို့သည်သွား၍ မြို့ထဲသို့ဝင်လျှင်၊ စကားတော်အတိုင်းတွေ့၍ ပသခါပွဲကို ပြင်ဆင်ကြ၏။

¹⁷And when evening was come, he comes with the twelve.

¹⁷ညဦးယံအချိန်ရောက်မှ တပည့်တော်တကျိပ် နှစ်ပါးတို့နှင့်အတူ ကြွလာတော်မူ၏။

¹⁸And as they lay at table and were eating, Jesus said, Verily I say to you, One of you shall deliver me up; he who is eating with me.

¹⁸စားပွဲ၌လျောင်း၍ စားနေကြစဉ်တွင်၊ ယေရှုက၊ ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ သင်တို့အဝင်ဖြစ်၍ ငါနှင့်အတူ စားသောသူ တစုံတယောက်သည် ငါ့ကို အပ်နှံလိမ့်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျင်၊

¹⁹And they began to be grieved, and to say to him, one by one, Is it *I*? [and another, Is it *I*?]

¹⁹တပည့်တော်တို့သည် ဝမ်းနည်း၍၊ အကျွန်ုပ်လော၊ အကျွန်ုပ်လောဟု တယောက်နောက်တယောက် အသီးအသီးမေးလျှောက်ကြ၏။

²⁰But he answered and said to them, One of the twelve, he who dips with me in the dish.

²⁰ကိုယ်တော်ကလည်း၊ တကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးအဝင်ဖြစ်၍ ငါနှင့်အတူ ပုန်ကန်တွင် နှိုက်သောသူသည် ငါ့ကို အပ်နှံလိမ့်မည်။

²¹The Son of man goes indeed as it is written concerning him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is delivered up; [it were] good for that man if he had not been born.

²¹ကျမ်းစာလာသည်အတိုင်း လူသားသည် သွားရမည်။ သို့သော်လည်း လူသားကို အပ်နှံသောသူသည် အမင်္ဂလာရှိ၏။ ထိုသူသည် ဘွားမြင်ခြင်းကို မခံရလျှင်အနေသာ၍ ကောင်းသည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²²And as they were eating, Jesus, having taken bread, when he had blessed, broke [it], and gave [it] to them, and said, Take [this]: this is my body.

²²ထိုအခါစားလျက်နေကြစဉ်တွင် ယေရှုသည်မုန့်ကိုယူ၍၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကိုချီးမွမ်းပြီးမှ မုန့်ကိုဖဲ့၍၊ ဤမုန့် ကားငါ၏ကိုယ်ဖြစ်၏။ ယူ၍စားကြလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျက် တပည့်တော်တို့အား ပေးတော်မူ၏။

²³And having taken [the] cup, when he had given thanks, he gave [it] to them, and they all drank out of it.

²³ခွက်ကိုလည်းယူ၍ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကိုချီးမွမ်းပြီးမှ သူတို့အား ပေးတော်မူလျှင်၊ ထိုသူရှိသမျှတို့သည် သောက်ကြ၏။

²⁴And he said to them, This is my blood, that of the [new] covenant, that shed for many.

²⁴ကိုယ်တော်ကလည်း၊ ဤခွက်ကား၊ ပဋိညာဉ်တရားသစ်နှင့်ဆိုင်၍၊ လူများအဘို့အလိုငှါ သွန်းသော ငါ၏ အသွေးဖြစ်၏။

²⁵Verily I say to you, I will no more drink at all of the fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.

²⁵ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ဤစပျစ်ရည်မျိုးအသစ်ကို ဘုရားသခင်၏နိုင်ငံတော်၌ ငါမသောက်မှီ နေ့တိုင် အောင် ယခုမှစ၍ တဖန်ငါမသောက်ရဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²⁶And having sung a hymn, they went out to the mount of Olives.

²⁶ထိုနောက်သီချင်းဆိုပြီးမှ သံလွင်တောင်သို့ ထွက်သွားကြ၏။

²⁷And Jesus says to them, All ye shall be offended, for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered abroad.

²⁷ထိုအခါ ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ကျမ်းစာလာသည်ကား၊ သိုးထိန်းကို ငါရိုက်သတ်၍ သိုးတို့သည် ကွဲလွင့်ရကြ လိမ့်မည်ဟု ရေးထားသည်နှင့်အညီ၊ ယနေ့ညဉ့်တွင် သင်တို့ ရှိသမျှသည် ငါ့ကြောင့် စိတ်ပျက်ကြလိမ့်မည်။

²⁸But after I am risen, I will go before you into Galilee.

²⁸သို့သော်လည်း ငါသည်ထမြောက်ပြီးမှ သင်တို့ရှေ့၊ ဂါလိလဲပြည်သို့သွားမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသော်၊

²⁹But Peter said to him, Even if all should be offended, yet not *I*.

²⁹ပေတရုက၊ ဤသူရှိသမျှတို့သည် စိတ်ပျက်ကြသော်လည်း အကျွန်ုပ်သည် စိတ်မပျက်ပါဟု လျှောက် လေ၏။

³⁰And Jesus says to him, Verily I say to thee, that thou to-day, in this night, before [the] cock shall crow twice, thou shalt thrice deny me.

³⁰ယေရှုကလည်း၊ ငါအမှန်ဆိုသည်ကား၊ ယနေ့ညဉ့်တွင်ပင် ကြက်သည်နှစ်ကြိမ်မတွန်မှီ သင်သည် သုံး ကြိမ်မြောက်အောင် ငါ့ကိုငြင်းပယ်လိမ့်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျှင်၊

³¹But he said [so much] exceedingly the more, If I should have to die with thee, I will in no wise deny thee. And likewise said they all too.

³¹ပေတရုက၊ ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်တကွ သေရသော်လည်း အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကိုမငြင်းမပယ်ပါဟု သာ၍ ခိုင်ခံ့သောစကားနှင့် လျှောက်ပြန်၏။ ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့သည်လည်း ထိုနည်းတူလျှောက်ကြ၏။

³²And they come to a place of which the name [is] Gethsemane, and he says to his disciples, Sit here while I shall pray.

³²ထိုအခါ ဂေသရှေမန်အရပ်သို့ရောက်ကြလျှင် ကိုယ်တော်က၊ ငါဆုတောင်းစဉ်တွင် သင်တို့သည် ဤ အရပ်၌ ထိုင်နေကြလော့ဟု တပည့်တော်တို့အား မိန့်တော်မူပြီးမှ၊

³³And he takes with him Peter and James and John, and he began to be amazed and oppressed in spirit.

³³ပေတရု၊ ယာကုပ်၊ ယောဟန်တို့ကိုခေါ်သွား၍ မိန်းမောတွေဝေခြင်း၊ စိတ်ပူပန်ခြင်းသို့ ရောက်တော် မူ၏။

³⁴And he says to them, My soul is full of grief even unto death; abide here and watch.

³⁴ထိုအခါ ငါသည်သေလောက်အောင်စိတ်နှလုံး အလွန်ညှိုးငယ်ခြင်းရှိ၏။ ဤအရပ်၌ စောင့်နေကြလော့ ဟု တပည့်တော်သုံးယောက်တို့အား မိန့်တော်မူ၍၊

³⁵And, going forward a little, he fell upon the earth; and he prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass away from him.

³⁵ထိုမှ အနည်းငယ်လွန်ပြန်လျှင်၊ မြေပေါ်မှာ ပြပ်ဝပ်၍ အိုအဘခမည်းတော်၊

³⁶And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to thee: take away this cup from me; but not what *I* will, but what *thou* [wilt].

³⁶ကိုယ်တော်သည် အလုံးစုံတို့ကိုတတ်နိုင်တော်မူ၏။ ဤခွက်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်မှလွှဲတော်မူပါ။ သို့သော်လည်း အကျွန်ုပ်အလိုရှိသည်အတိုင်း မဖြစ်ပါစေနှင့်။ ကိုယ်တော်အလိုရှိသည်အတိုင်း ဖြစ်ပါစေသောဟူ၍ ထိုအချိန် နာရီ သည် မိမိနှင့်လွန်သွားနိုင်လျှင် လွန်သွားပါမည်အကြောင်း ဆုတောင်းတော်မူပြီးမှ၊

³⁷And he comes and finds them sleeping. And he says to Peter, Simon, dost thou sleep? Hast thou not been able to watch one hour?

³⁷ပြန်လာ၍ တပည့်တော်တို့သည် အိပ်ပျော်လျက် နေကြသည်ကိုတွေ့တော်မူလျှင်၊ ရှိမုန်၊ သင်သည် အိပ်ပျော်သလော။ တနာရီခန့်မျှစောင့်နေခြင်းငှါ မစွမ်းနိုင်သလော။

³⁸Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. The spirit indeed [is] willing, but the flesh weak.

³⁸စုံစမ်းနှောင့်ရှက်ခြင်းနှင့် ကင်းလွတ်မည်အကြောင်းဆုတောင်းလျက် စောင့်နေကြလော့။ စိတ် ဝိညာဉ် ကား စေတနာရှိငြားသော်လည်း၊ ကိုယ်မူကား အားနည်းသည်ဟု ပေတရုအားမိန့်တော်မူပြီးမှ၊

³⁹And going away, he prayed again, saying the same thing.

³⁹တဖန်သွား၍ ရှေ့မြွက်ဆိုသည်နည်းတူ ဆုတောင်းတော်မူ၏။

⁴⁰And returning, he found them again sleeping, for their eyes were heavy; and they knew not what they should answer him.

⁴⁰ထိုနောက် တပည့်တော်တို့ရှိရာသို့ပြန်၍၊ သူတို့သည် မျက်စိလေးလံသဖြင့် တဖန်အိပ်ပျော်လျက်နေကြ သည်ကို တွေ့တော်မူ၏။ သူတို့သည် အဘယ်သို့ လျှောက်ရမည်ကို မသိကြ။

⁴¹And he comes the third time and says to them, Sleep on now, and take your rest. It is enough; the hour is come; behold, the Son of man is delivered up into the hands of sinners.

⁴¹သုံးကြိမ်မြောက်အောင် သူတို့ရှိရာသို့ ပြန်လာလျှင်၊ ယခုအိပ်ပျော်၍ငြိမ်ဝပ်စွာနေကြလော့။ အမှုလွန် ပြီ။ လူသားကို ဆိုးသောသူတို့လက်သို့ အပ်နှံရသောအချိန် ရောက်လာပြီ။

⁴²Arise, let us go; behold, he that delivers me up has drawn nigh.

⁴²ထကြ။ ငါတို့သည်သွားကြကုန်အံ့။ ငါ့ကို အပ်နှံသောသူသည် ရောက်လာပြီဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁴³And immediately, while he was yet speaking, Judas comes up, [being] one of the twelve, and with him a great crowd, with swords and sticks, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders.

⁴³ထိုသို့ မိန့်တော်မူစဉ်တွင်ပင် တပည့်တော် တကျိပ်နှစ်ပါးအဝင်ဖြစ်သော ယုဒရှကာရုတ်နှင့်အတူ ယဇ် ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီး၊ ကျမ်းပြုဆရာ။ လူအပေါင်းတို့သည် ထားနှင့်ဒုတ်များကိုကိုင်လျက် ချက်ခြင်းလာကြ၏။

⁴⁴Now he that delivered him up had given them a sign between them, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he; seize him, and lead [him] away safely.

⁴⁴ကိုယ်တော်ကိုအပ်နှံသောသူက၊ ငါနမ်းသောသူသည် ယေရှုပင်ဖြစ်၏။ သူ့ကိုဘမ်း၍ လုံခြုံစွာ ဆောင် သွားကြဟု ထိုသူတို့အား အမှတ်ပေးခဲ့သည်အတိုင်း၊

⁴⁵And being come, straightway coming up to him, he says, Rabbi, Rabbi; and he covered him with kisses.

⁴⁵သူသည် ရောက်လျှင် ကိုယ်တော်ရင်းသို့ချက်ခြင်း ချဉ်းကပ်၍ အရှင်ဘုရား၊ အရှင်ဘုရားဟုဆိုလျက် နမ်းလေ၏။

⁴⁶And they laid their hands upon him and seized him.

⁴⁶ထိုသူတို့သည် လာ၍ ကိုယ်တော်ကိုဆွဲကိုင် ဘမ်းဆီးကြ၏။

⁴⁷But a certain one of those who stood by, having drawn his sword, struck the bondman of the high priest, and took off his ear.

⁴⁷အနား၌ ရပ်နေသော သူတယောက်သည် ထားကို ဆွဲထုတ်ပြီးလျှင်၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်း၏ ကျွန်တ ယောက်ကို ခုတ်သဖြင့် နားရွက်ပြတ်လေ၏။

⁴⁸And Jesus answering said to them, Are ye come out as against a robber, with swords and sticks to take me?

⁴⁸ယေရှုကလည်း သင်တို့သည် ထားပြကို ဘမ်းသကဲ့သို့ ငါ့ကိုဘမ်းအံ့သောငှါ ထားနှင့်ဒုတ်များကို လက် စွဲလျက်လာကြသည်တကား၊

⁴⁹I was daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye did not seize me; but [it is] that the scriptures may be fulfilled.

⁴⁹ငါသည် ဗိမာန်တော်၌ နေ့တိုင်းဆုံးမဩဝါဒပေးလျက်၊ သင်တို့အလယ်၌ ရှိနေစဉ်အခါ သင်တို့သည် ငါ့ကို မဘမ်းမဆီးကြ။ ဤအကြောင်းအရာကား၊

⁵⁰And all left him and fled.

⁵⁰ကျမ်းစာပြည်စုံမည်အကြောင်းတည်းဟု ထိုလူများကို မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁵¹And a certain young man followed him with a linen cloth cast about his naked [body]; and [the young men] seize him;

⁵¹ထိုအခါ တပည့်တော်အပေါင်းတို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကိုစွန့်ပစ်၍ ပြေးကြ၏။ လုလင်တယောက်သည် စောင်တထည်ကိုသာ ဝတ်လျက် နောက်တော်သို့လိုက်သည်ဖြစ်၍၊ မင်းလုလင်တို့သည် ထိုလုလင်ကို ဘမ်းဆီး ကြ၏။

⁵²but he, leaving the linen cloth behind [him], fled from them naked.

⁵²သူသည်လည်း စောင်ကိုစွန့်ပစ်၍ အဝတ်မရှိဘဲ လုလင်တို့လက်မှ ထွက်ပြေးလေ၏။

⁵³And they led away Jesus to the high priest. And there come together to him all the chief priests and the elders and the scribes.

⁵³ထိုသူတို့သည် ယေရှုကို ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်းထံသို့ ဆောင်သွားကြ၏။ ထိုမင်းထံ၌ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ် အကြီး၊ လူအကြီးအကဲ၊ ကျမ်းပြုဆရာအပေါင်းတို့သည် စည်းဝေးကြ၏။

⁵⁴And Peter followed him at a distance, till [he was] within the court of the high priest's palace; and he was sitting with the officers and warming himself in the light [of the fire].

⁵⁴ပေတရုသည်လည်း ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်း၏ အိမ်ဦးအတွင်းသို့တိုင်အောင် ကိုယ်တော်နှင့်ဝေးစွာ လိုက် ပြီးလျှင်၊ မင်းလုလင်တို့နှင့်တအူထိုင်၍မီးလှုံလေ၏။

⁵⁵And the chief priests and the whole sanhedrim sought testimony against Jesus to cause him to be put to death, and did not find [any].

⁵⁵ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီးတို့နှင့် လွှတ်အရာရှိအပေါင်းတို့သည် ယေရှုကို သတ်ရမည်အကြောင်း သက် သေကို ရှာသော်လည်းမတွေ့ကြ။

⁵⁶For many bore false witness against him, and their testimony did not agree.

⁵⁶လူများတို့သည် မမှန်သောသက်သေကို ခံကြသော်လည်း သူတို့၏ သက်သေခံချက်သည်မညီ။

⁵⁷And certain persons rose up and bore false witness against him, saying,

⁵⁷အချို့တို့သည်ထ၍၊ ဤသူက၊ လူတို့လက်ဖြင့် လုပ်သော၊

⁵⁸*We* heard him saying, *I* will destroy this temple which is made with hands, and in the course of three days I will build another not made with hands.

⁵⁸ဤဗိမာန်တော်ကို ငါဖြိုဖျက်၍ လူတို့လက်ဖြင့် မလုပ်သောဗိမာန်တော်တဆူကို တည်ဆောက်မည်ဟု ပြောဆိုသည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ကြားရပါပြီဟု သက်သေခံကြ၏။

⁵⁹And neither thus did their testimony agree.

⁵⁹သို့သော်လည်း သူတို့၏ သက်သေခံချက်သည် မညီ။

⁶⁰And the high priest, rising up before them all, asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? What do these testify against thee?

⁶⁰ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်းသည် အလယ်၌ မတ်တပ်ထ၍၊ သင်သည် တခွန်းမျှပြန်၍မပြောသလော။ ဤသူတို့သည် အဘယ်သို့သက်သေခံသနည်းဟု ယေရှုကိုမေးလျှင်၊

⁶¹But he was silent, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and says to him, *Thou* art the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

⁶¹ကိုယ်တော်သည် တခွန်းမျှပြန်ပြောတော်မမူဘဲ တိတ်ဆိတ်စွာနေ၏။ တဖန်ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်းက၊ သင်သည် ခရစ်တော်တည်းဟူသော မင်္ဂလာရှိသော ဘုရားသခင်၏သားတော် မှန်သလောဟု မြေးပြန်လျှင်၊

⁶²And Jesus said, *I* am, and ye shall see the Son of man sitting at the right hand of power, and coming with the clouds of heaven.

⁶²ယေရှုက၊ မှန်၏။ နောင်ကာလ၌ လူသားသည် တန်ခိုးတော်၏လက်ျာဘက်၌ထိုင်လျက်၊ မိုဃ်းတိမ်ကို စီး၍ ကြွလာသည်ကို သင်တို့မြင်ရကြလတံ့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁶³And the high priest, having rent his clothes, says, What need have we any more of witnesses?

⁶³ထိုအခါ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်းသည် မိမိအဝတ်ကို ဆုတ်လျက်အဘယ်သက်သေကို လိုသေးသနည်း။

⁶⁴Ye have heard the blasphemy; what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.

⁶⁴ဘုရားကို လွန်ကျူး၍ပြောသောစကားကို သင်တို့ကြားရပြီ။ အဘယ်သို့ထင်မှတ်ကြသနည်းဟု မေးမြန်း လျှင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် အသေခံထိုက်ကြောင်းကို ထိုသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် စီရင်ကြ၏။

⁶⁵And some began to spit upon him, and cover up his face, and buffet him, and say to him, Prophesy; and the officers struck him with the palms of their hands.

⁶⁵ထိုအခါ အချို့တို့သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို တံတွေးနှင့်ထွေးကြ၏။ မျက်နှာတော်ကိုဖုံးပြီးလျှင် လက်သီးနှင့် ထိုးလျက်၊ ပရောဖက်ပြု၍ ဟောတော်မူပါဟုဆိုကြ၏။ မင်းလုလင်တို့သည်လည်း ပါးတော်ကို လက်နှင့်ပုတ်ကြ ၏။

⁶⁶And Peter being below in the palace-court, there comes one of the maids of the high priest,

⁶⁶ပေတရုသည်အောက်မှာ အိမ်ဦး၌ရှိစဉ်၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်း၏ အစေအပါးမိန်းမတယောက်သည် လာ၍၊

⁶⁷and seeing Peter warming himself, having looked at him, says, And *thou* wast with the Nazarene, Jesus.

⁶⁷ပေတရုသည် မီးလှုံလျက်နေသည်ကို မြင်သောအခါ သူ့ကိုစေ့စေ့ကြည့်၍၊ သင်သည်လည်း နာဇရက် မြို့သားယေရှုနှင့် ပေါင်းဘော်သောသူဖြစ်သည်ဟု ဆိုလျှင်၊

⁶⁸But he denied, saying, I know not nor understand what thou sayest. And he went out into the vestibule; and a cock crew.

⁶⁸ပေတရုက၊ သင်ပြောသောအရာကိုငါမသိ၊ နားမလည်ဟု ငြင်းခုံပြီးမှ အိမ်ဦးရှေ့သို့ထွက်သော် ကြက်တွန်လေ၏။

⁶⁹And the maid, seeing him, again began to say to those that stood by, This is [one] of them.

⁶⁹နောက်တဖန် အစေအပါမိန်းမသည် ပေတရုကိုမြင်လျှင်၊ အနား၌ ရပ်နေသောသူတို့အား၊ ဤသူသည် ထိုသူတို့ အဝင်ဖြစ်သည်ဟုဆိုသော်။

⁷⁰And he again denied. And again, after a little, those that stood by said to Peter, Truly thou art [one] of them, for also thou art a Galilean.

⁷⁰ပေတရုသည် တဖန်ငြင်းခုံပြန်၏၊ ထိုနောက် များမကြာအနား၌ ရပ်နေသောသူတို့က၊ အကယ်စင်စစ် သင်သည် ထိုသူတို့အဝင်ဖြစ်၏။ သင်သည် ဂါလိလဲလူဖြစ်၏။ သင်စကားလည်းတူ၏ဟု ပေတရုကိုဆိုကြလျှင်၊

⁷¹But he began to curse and to swear, I know not this man of whom ye speak.

⁷¹ပေတရုက၊ သင်တို့ပြောသောသူကို ငါမသိဟု ဓိဋ္ဌာန်ပြု၍ကျိန်ဆိုသည်နောက်၊

⁷²And the second time a cock crew. And Peter remembered the word that Jesus said to him, Before [the] cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice; and when he thought thereon he wept.

⁷²တဖန်ကြက်တွန်လေ၏။ ယေရှုက၊ ကြက်သည် နှစ်ကြိမ်မတွန်မှီ သင်သည်သုံးကြိမ်မြောက်အောင် ငါ့ကို ငြင်းပယ်လိမ့်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူသောစကားကို၊ ပေတရုသည် သတိရသဖြင့် ခေါင်းကိုခြုံ၍ငိုကြွေးလေ၏။
