¹In those days, there being again a great crowd, and they having nothing that they could eat, having called his disciples to [him], he says to them,

¹ထိုအခါ စုဝေးသောသူအလွန်များ၍ စားစရာမရှိလျှင်၊ ယေရှုသည် တပည့်တော်တို့ကို ခေါ်၍၊

²I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me already three days and they have not anything they can eat,

²ဤလူများကို ငါသနား၏။ သုံးရက်ပတ်လုံး ငါနှင့်အတူ ရှိကြပြီ။ စားစရာအလျှင်းမရှိ။

³and if I should dismiss them to their home fasting, they will faint on the way; for some of them are come from far.

³အချို့တို့သည် အဝေးကလာသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ အစာမစားမှီ သူတို့အိမ်သို့ ငါလွှတ်လျှင် လမ်းခရီး၌ မောကြ လိမ့်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁴And his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to satisfy these with bread here in a desert place?

⁴တပည့်တော်တို့ကလည်း၊ ဤတောအရပ်၌ ဤသူတို့ကို အဘယ်သို့ ဝစွာကျွေးနိုင်မည်နည်းဟု လျှောက်ကြသော်၊

⁵And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.

⁵ကိုယ်တော်က၊ သင်တို့တွင် မုန့်ဘယ်နှစ်လုံး ရှိပါသနည်းဟု မေးတော်မူလျှင်၊ မုန့်ခုနှစ်လုံးရှိပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။

⁶And he commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, he gave thanks, and broke [them] and gave [them] to his disciples, that they might set [them] before [them]; and they set [them] before the crowd.

⁶ထိုအခါ လူအစုအဝေးကို မြေပေါ်မှာလျောင်းကြစေဟု အမိန့်တော်ရှိ၏။ မုန့်ခုနစ်လုံးကိုလည်း ယူ၍ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းပြီးမှ မုန့်ကိုဖဲ့၍ လူများတို့ရှေ့၌ ထည့်စေခြင်းငှါ တပည့်တော်တို့အား ပေးတော်မူသည် အတိုင်း သူတို့သည် ထည့်ကြ၏။

⁷And they had a few small fishes, and having blessed them, he desired these also to be set before [them].

⁷အနည်းငယ်မျှသော ငါးကောင်ကလေးလည်း ရှိသည်ဖြစ်၍၊ ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ချီးမွမ်းပြီးမှ လူများရှေ့၌ ထည့်စေခြင်းငှါ မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

⁸And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up of fragments that remained seven baskets.

⁸ထိုသူတို့သည် စား၍ ဝကြပြီးမှ ကြွင်းရစ်သောအကျိုးအပဲ့ကို ကောက်သိမ်း၍ ခုနစ်တောင်းအပြည့် ရကြ၏။

⁹And they [that had eaten] were about four thousand; and he sent them away.

⁹စားသောသူအရေအတွက်ကား၊ လူလေးထောင် မျှလောက် ရှိသတည်း။ ထိုသူတို့ကို လွှတ်တော်မူပြီးမှ၊

¹⁰And immediately going on board ship with his disciples, he came into the parts of Dalmanutha.

¹⁰တပည့်တော်တို့နှင့်တကွ လှေထဲသို့ ချက်ခြင်းဝင်၍၊ ဒါလမနုသကျေးလက်သို့ ရောက်တော်မူ၏။

¹¹And the Pharisees went out and began to dispute against him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

¹¹ထိုအခါ ဖာရိရှဲတို့သည် ထွက်လာ၍ ကိုယ်တော်နှင့် ဆွေးနွေးငြင်းခုံသည်တွင် စုံစမ်းနှောင့်ရှက်ခြင်းငှါ၊ မိုဃ်းကောင်းကင်ကဖြစ်သော နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာကို တောင်းကြ၏။

¹²And groaning in his spirit, he says, Why does this generation seek a sign? Verily I say unto you, A sign shall in no wise be given to this generation.

¹²ကိုယ်တော်သည် စိတ်နှလုံးညည်းတွားသံကို ပြုတော်မူလျက်၊ ဤလူမျိုးသည် နိမိတ်လက္ခဏာကို မပြရ ဟု မိန့်တော်မူပြီးလျှင်၊

¹³And he left them, and going again on board ship, went away to the other side.

¹³ထိုသူတို့ ရှိရာမှထွက်၍ တဖန် လှေထဲသို့ ဝင်ပြီးလျှင် ကမ်းတဘက်သို့ ပြန်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁴And they forgot to take bread, and save one loaf, they had not [any] with them in the ship.

¹⁴တပည့်တော်တို့သည် မုန့်ကိုယူခြင်းငှါ မေ့လျော့ကြသဖြင့်၊ လှေပေါ်မှာ သူတို့၌ မုန့်တလုံးတည်းသာ ရှိ ၏။

¹⁵And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and [of] the leaven of Herod.

¹⁵ကိုယ်တော်ကလည်း၊ ဖာရိရှဲတို့၏တဆေးကို၎င်း၊ ဟေရုဒ်၏တဆေးကို၎င်း၊ သတိနှင့် ကြဉ်ရှောင်ကြဟု ပညတ်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁶And they reasoned with one another, [saying], It is because we have no bread.

¹⁶တပည့်တော်တို့ကိုလည်း၊ ငါတို့၌ မုန့်မပါသောကြောင့် ဤစကားကို မိန့်တော်မူသည်ဟု အချင်းချင်း ဆွေးနွေးပြောဆိုကြ၏။

¹⁷And Jesus knowing [it], says to them, Why reason ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your heart [yet] hardened?

¹⁷ယေရှုသည် သိတော်မူလျှင်၊ သင်တို့၌ မုန့်မပါသည်ကိုထောက်၍ အဘယ်ကြောင့်အချင်းချင်း ဆွေး နွေး ပြောဆိုကြသနည်း။ ယခုတိုင်အောင် နှလုံးမသွင်း၊ နားမလည်ကြသလော။ သင်တို့ စိတ်နှလုံးမိုက်သေး သလော။

¹⁸Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?

¹⁸မျက်စိရှိလျက်ပင် မမြင်၊ နားရှိလျက်ပင် မကြား၊ စိတ်မအောက်မေ့ဘဲနေကြသလော။

¹⁹When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many hand-baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say to him, Twelve.

¹⁹မုန့်ငါးလုံးကို လူငါးထောင်အား ငါဖဲ့သောအခါ အကျိုးအပဲ့ဘယ်နှစ်တောင်း ကောက်သိမ်း သနည်း ဟု မေးတော်မူလျှင်၊ တဆယ်နှစ်တောင်းကောက်သိမ်းပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။

²⁰And when the seven for the four thousand, the filling of how many baskets of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.

²⁰မုန့်ခုနစ်လုံးကို လူလေးထောင်အား ငါဖဲ့သောအခါ အကျိုးအပဲ့ဘယ်နှစ်တောင်း ကောက်သိမ်းသနည်း ဟု မေးတော်မူလျှင်၊ ခုနစ်တောင်းကောက်သိမ်းပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်ကြ၏။

²¹And he said to them, How do ye not yet understand?

²¹သို့ဖြစ်လျှင်၊ သင်တို့သည် နားမလည်ဘဲ အဘယ်သို့ နေကြသနည်းဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²²And he comes to Bethsaida; and they bring him a blind man, and beseech him that he might touch him.

²²ဗက်ဇဲဒမြို့သို့ ရောက်တော်မူလျှင်၊ လူကန်းတယောက်ကို အထံတော်သို့ဆောင်ခဲ့၍၊ ထိုသူကို တို့တော်မူမည်အကြောင်း တောင်းပန်ကြ၏။

²³And taking hold of the hand of the blind man he led him forth out of the village, and having spit upon his eyes, he laid his hands upon him, and asked him if he beheld anything.

²³ကိုယ်တော်သည် လူကန်းကိုလက်ဆွဲ၍ မြို့ပြင်သို့ ထွက်ပြီးမှ၊ သူ၏မျက်စိကို တံထွေးနှင့်ထွေး၍ သူ့အပေါ်မှာ လက်တော်ကိုတင်လျက်၊ သင်သည် တစုံတခုကို မြင်သလောဟု မေးတော်မူ၏။

²⁴And having looked up, he said, I behold men, for I see [them], as trees, walking.

²⁴ထိုသူသည် ကြည့်မျှော်လျှင်၊ လူတို့သည် သစ်ပင်ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၍ လှမ်းသွားသည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ် မြင်ပါသည် ဟု လျှောက်၏။

²⁵Then he laid his hands again upon his eyes, and he saw distinctly, and was restored and saw all things clearly.

²⁵နောက်တဖန်သူ၏မျက်စိပေါ်မှာ လက်တော်ကိုတင်၍ ကြည့်မျှော်စေတော်မူလျှင်၊ သူသည် ပကတိ အဖြစ်သို့ ရောက်၍ အလုံးစုံတို့ကို ရှင်းလင်းစွာမြင်လေ၏။

²⁶And he sent him to his house, saying, Neither enter into the village, nor tell [it] to any one in the village.

²⁶ကိုယ်တော်ကလည်း၊ မြို့ထဲသို့မဝင်နှင့်။ မြို့၌ အဘယ်သူကိုမျှမပြောနှင့်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၍ သူ့ကို မိမိ နေရာသို့ လွှတ်လိုက်လေ၏။

²⁷And Jesus went forth and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea-Philippi. And by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am?

²⁷ယေရှုသည် ဖိလိပ္ပုကဲသရိမြို့၏ ကျေးလက်သို့ တပည့်တော်တို့နှင့်တကွ ကြွတော်မူစဉ်၊ လမ်းခရီး၌ လူများတို့သည် ငါ့ကို အဘယ်သူဖြစ်သည်ဆိုကြသနည်းဟု တပည့်တော်တို့ကို မေးမြန်းတော်မူလျှင်၊

²⁸And they answered him, saying, John the baptist; and others, Elias; but others, One of the prophets.

²⁸လူအချို့က၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဗတ္တိဇံဆရာယောဟန်ဖြစ်သည်ဟူ၍၎င်း၊ အချို့က ဧလိယဖြစ်သည် ဟူ ၍၎င်း၊ အချို့က ပရောဖက်တပါးပါးဖြစ်သည်ဟူ၍၎င်း ဆိုကြပါ၏ဟု လျှောက်ကြသော်၊

²⁹And he asked them, But *ye*, who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering says to him, *Thou* art the Christ.

²⁹သင်တို့လည်း ငါ့ကို အဘယ်သူဖြစ်သည် ဆိုကြသနည်းဟု မေးမြန်းတော်မူလျှင်၊ ပေတရုက၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ခရစ်တော်ဖြစ်တော်မူသည်ဟု လျှောက်လေ၏။

³⁰And he charged them straitly, in order that they should tell no man about him.

³⁰ကိုယ်တော်၏အကြောင်းကို အဘယ်သူအားမျှမပြောစိမ့်သောငှါ တပည့်တော်တို့ကို ပညတ်တော်မူ၏။

³¹And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests and of the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise [again].

³¹ထိုမှတပါး၊ လူသားသည်များစွာ ခံရမည်။ လူအကြီးအကဲ၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်အကြီး၊ ကျမ်းပြုဆရာတို့၏ ငြင်းပယ်ခြင်းကို၎င်း၊ အသေသတ်ခြင်းကို၎င်းခံရမည်။ သုံးရက်မြောက်သောနေ့၌ ထမြောက်လိမ့်မည်ဟူသော အကြောင်းများကို တပည့်တော်တို့အား ပြစပြုတော်မူ၏။

³²And he spoke the thing openly. And Peter, taking him to [him], began to rebuke him.

³²ထိုသို့အတည့်အလင်းပြတော်မူသောကြောင့် ပေတရုသည် ကိုယ်တော်ကို မိမိနှင့်အတူခေါ်၍ အပြစ် တင်သောစကားကို လျှောက်သော်၊

³³But he, turning round and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get away behind me, Satan, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men.

³³ကိုယ်တော်သည် မျက်နှာတော်ကိုလှည့်၍ တပည့်တော်တို့ကိုကြည့်ရှုလျက်၊ အချင်းရန်သူ၊ ငါ့နောက်သို့ ဆုတ်လော့။ သင်သည် ဘုရားသခင်၏အရာကို စိတ်မစွဲလမ်း၊ လူတို့၏အရာကိုသာ စွဲလမ်းသည်ဟူ၍ ပေတရု ကို ဆုံးမတော်မူ၏။

³⁴And having called the crowd with his disciples, he said to them, Whoever desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.

³⁴ထိုအခါ တပည့်တော်တို့နှင့် ပရိတ်သတ်များကို ခေါ်တော်မူပြီးလျှင်၊ အကြင်သူသည် ငါ၌ဆည်းကပ် ခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိ၏။ ထိုသူသည် ကိုယ်ကိုကိုယ် ငြင်းပယ်ရမည်။ ကိုယ်လက်ဝါးကပ်တိုင်ကို ထမ်း၍ ငါ့နောက်သို့ လိုက်ရမည်။

³⁵For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.

³⁵အကြင်သူသည် မိမိအသက်ကို ကယ်ဆယ်ခြင်းငှါအလိုရှိ၏။ ထိုသူသည် အသက်ရှုံးလိမ့်မည်။ အကြင် သူသည် ငါ့ကြောင့်၎င်း၊ ဧဝံဂေလိတရားကြောင့်၎င်း အသက်ရှုံး၏။ ထိုသူသည် မိမိအသက်ကို ကယ်ဆယ်လိမ့် မည်။

³⁶For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul?

³⁶လူသည် ဤစကြာဝဠာကို အကြွင်းမဲ့အစိုးရ၍ မိမိအသက်ဝိညာဉ်ရှုံးလျှင် အဘယ်ကျေးဇူးရှိသနည်း။

³⁷for what should a man give in exchange for his soul?

³⁷မိမိအသက်ဝိညာဉ်ကို အဘယ်ဥစ္စာနှင့် ရွေးနိုင်သနည်း။

³⁸For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him shall the Son of man also be ashamed when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.

³⁸မျောက်မထားသော ဤလူမျိုးဆိုးတွင် အကြင်သူသည် ငါ့ကို၎င်း၊ ငါ့စကားကို၎င်းရှက်၏။ လူသား သည် မိမိအဘခမည်းတော်၏ ဘုန်းအာနုဘော်ကို ဆောင်လျက်၊ သန့်ရှင်းသော ကောင်းကင်တမန် အခြံအရံ တို့နှင့် ကြွလာသောအခါ ထိုသူကို ရှက်တော်မူလတံ့။
