¹{A Song of degrees.} I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: whence shall my help come?

¹ငါ့ကိုမစခြင်း အကြောင်းသည် ပေါ်ထွက်ရ သော တောင်ရိုးသို့ ငါမျှော်ကြည့်၏။

²My help [cometh] from Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.

²ကော်းကင်နှင့်မြေကြီးကို ဖန်ဆင်းတော်မူသော ထာဝရဘုရား ထံတော်မှ၊ ငါ့ကို မစခြင်းအကြောင်းသည် ပေါ်ထွက်ရ၏။

³He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

³သင်၏ ခြေကို ချော်စေခြင်းငှါ အခွင့်ပေးတော် မမူ။ သင့်ကို စောင့်သောသူသည် အိပ်တော်မမူ။

⁴Behold, he that keepeth Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.

⁴အကယ်စင်စစ် ဣသရေလအမျိုးကို စောင့် သောသူသည် ငိုက်မျဉ်းအိပ်ပျော်ခြင်း ရှိတော်မမူ။

⁵Jehovah is thy keeper, Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand;

⁵ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သင့်ကို စောင့်တော်မူ၏။ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သင်၏လက်ျာဘက်၌ရှိသော သင်ခိုလှုံရာ အရိပ်ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။

⁶The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

⁶နေ့အချိန်၌ နေအားဖြင့်၎င်း၊ ညဉ့်အချိန်၌ လအားဖြင့်၎င်း အထိအခိုက်မရှိရာ။

⁷Jehovah will keep thee from all evil; he will keep thy soul.

⁷ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မကောင်းသောအမှုအရာ အလုံးစုံတို့ကို ကွယ်ကာ၍၊ သင်၏အသက်ကို စောင့်တော် မူလိမ့်မည်။

⁸Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in, from henceforth and for evermore.

⁸ထာဝရဘုရားသည် သင်၏ ထွက်ခြင်းနှင့် ဝင်ခြင်းတို့ကို ယခုမှစ၍ အစဉ်အပြတ် စောင့်တော်မူ လိမ့်မည်။
