¹{A Psalm of Asaph.} Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are of a pure heart.

¹အကယ်စင်စစ် ဘုရားသခင်သည် နှလုံးသန့်ရှင်း သော သူတည်းဟူသော ဣသရေလအမျိုး၌ ကျေးဇူးကြီး တော်မူ၏။

²But as for me, my feet were almost gone, my steps had well nigh slipped;

²ငါမူကား၊ ခြေချော်လုလျက်၊ ခြေရာလွဲလုလျက် ရှိမိပြီ။

³For I was envious at the arrogant, seeing the prosperity of the wicked.

³အကြောင်းမူကား၊ မတရားသောသူတို့၏ စည်း စိမ်ကို မြင်သောအခါ၊ မိုက်သောသူတို့ကိုပင် ငါငြူစူမိပြီ။

⁴For they have no pangs in their death, and their body is well nourished;

⁴ထိုသူတို့သည် မသေမှီတိုင်အောင် နာကြင်ခြင်း ဝေဒနာမရှိ။ ခိုင်မာသောအစွမ်းသတ္တိရှိကြ၏။

⁵They have not the hardships of mankind, neither are they plagued like [other] men:

⁵သူတို့သည် လောကဓံဒုက္ခမရှိ။ လူများကဲ့သို့ အနှောင့်အရှက်ကိုမခံရကြ။

⁶Therefore pride encompasseth them as a neck-chain, violence covereth them [as] a garment;

⁶ထိုကြောင့် မာနကို လည်ဆွဲတန်ဆာကဲ့သို့ဆင်၍၊ ညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်း အဝတ်ကိုလည်း ဝတ်တတ်ကြ၏။

⁷Their eyes stand out from fatness, they exceed the imaginations of their heart:

⁷ဆူဝသောကြောင့် မျက်နှာမော်လျက်ရှိကြ၏။ စိတ်နှလုံးကြံစည်ခြင်းအားဖြင့် လွန်ကျူးတတ်ကြ၏။

⁸They mock and speak wickedly of oppression, they speak loftily:

⁸ဆိုးသောညှဉ်းဆဲခြင်းကိုပင် ပြက်ယယ်ပြု၍ ပြော တတ်ကြ၏။ ထောင်လွှားသော စကားကိုလည်း သုံးတတ် ကြ၏။

⁹They set their mouth in the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.

⁹သူတို့နှုတ်သည် ကောင်းကင်နှင့် ဆန့်ကျင်ဘက် ပြု၍၊ လျှာသည်လည်း မြေကြီးကို လှည့်လည်တတ်၏။

¹⁰Therefore his people turn hither, and waters in fulness are wrung out to them.

¹⁰ထိုကြောင့် ဘုရားသခင်၏ လူတို့သည် သူတို့ ထံသို့ ပြန်သွား၍ များစွာသော ရေကိုမျိုရကြ၏။

¹¹And they say, How can ùGod know, and is there knowledge in the Most High?

¹¹ဘုရားသခင်သည် အဘယ်သို့ သိတော်မူမည် နည်း။ အမြင့်ဆုံးသော ဘုရား၌ ဥာဏ်ရှိပါလိမ့်မည်လော ဟု ဆိုတတ်ကြ၏။

¹²Behold, these are the wicked, and they prosper in the world: they heap up riches.

¹²ထိုမတရားသော သူတို့သည် အစဉ်ကောင်းစား ၍ ဥစ္စာပွားများကြ၏။

¹³Truly have I purified my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency:

¹³အကယ်စင်စစ် ငါ့နှလုံးကို ငါသန့်ရှင်းစေသော် လည်း အကျိုးမရှိ။ အပြစ်ကင်းခြင်းနှင့် ငါ့လက်ကို ဆေးကြောသော်လည်း အကျိုးမရှိ။

¹⁴For all the day have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

¹⁴နေ့တိုင်းနှောင့်ရှက်ခြင်းနှင့် နံနက်တိုင်းဆုံးမ ခြင်းကို ငါခံရ၏။

¹⁵If I said, I will speak thus, behold, I should be faithless to the generation of thy children.

¹⁵ထိုသို့သဘောကျမည်ဟု အကျွန်ုပ်ဆိုလျှင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်၏ အမျိုးသားတို့ကို ပြစ်မှားရာသို့ ရောက်ပါ လိမ့်မည်။

¹⁶When I thought to be able to know this, it was a grievous task in mine eyes;

¹⁶ထိုအမှုကိုနားလည်ရအောင် ဆင်ခြင်သောအခါ အလွန်ခက်သည်ဟု ထင်ပါ၏။

¹⁷Until I went into the sanctuaries of ùGod; [then] understood I their end.

¹⁷နောက်မှဘုရားသခင်၏ သန့်ရှင်းရာ ဌာနထဲသို့ ဝင်၍၊ သူတို့၏ အဆုံးကို နားလည်ရပါ၏။

¹⁸Truly thou settest them in slippery places, thou castest them down in ruins.

¹⁸အကယ်စင်စစ်ကိုယ်တော်သည် သူတို့ကို ချော သောအရပ်၌ ထားတော်မူပြီ။ ဖျက်ဆီးရာအရပ်သို့ ချတော်မူ၏။

¹⁹How are they suddenly made desolate! they pass away, consumed with terrors.

¹⁹တခဏခြင်းတွင် အကျိုးနည်းကြပါပြီတကား။ ဘေးဥပဒ်များအားဖြင့် ရှင်းရှင်းပယ်ပျောက်လျက် ရှိကြပါ ပြီတကား။

²⁰As a dream, when one awaketh, wilt thou, Lord, on arising despise their image.

²⁰အိုထာဝရဘုရား၊ လူသည် နိုးသောအခါ အိပ် မက်ကိုမှတ်သကဲ့သို့ သူတို့ကို နှိုးတော်မူသောအခါ၊ သူတို့ အကြံအစည်ကို မထီမဲ့မြင်ပြုတော်မူမည်။

²¹When my heart was in a ferment, and I was pricked in my reins,

²¹ထိုသို့ အကျွန်ုပ်သည် နှလုံးနာလျက်၊ ကျောက် ကပ်မွှေနှောက်လျက်ရှိ၍၊

²²Then I was brutish and knew nothing; I was [as] a beast with thee.

²²မိုက်သောသူ၊ ပညာမဲ့သောသူဖြစ်ပါ၏။ ရှေ့ တော်၌ တိရစ္ဆာန်ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်ပါ၏။

²³Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden my right hand;

²³သို့သော်လည်း အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကိုယ်တော်ထံမှာ အစဉ်ရှိ၍၊ အကျွန်ုပ်၏လက်ျာလက်ကို ဆွဲကိုင်တော်မူ၏။

²⁴Thou wilt guide me by thy counsel, and after the glory, thou wilt receive me.

²⁴အကျွန်ုပ်ကို ဥာဏ်ပေး၍ပဲ့ပြင်တော်မူမည်။ နောက်တဖန် ဘုန်းအသရေ၌ သိမ်းယူတော်မူမည်။

²⁵Whom have I in the heavens? and there is none upon earth I desire beside thee.

²⁵ကိုယ်တော်မှတပါး၊ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံမှာ အကျွန်ုပ် ၌ အဘယ်သူရှိပါသနည်း။

²⁶My flesh and my heart faileth: God is the rock of my heart and my portion for ever.

²⁶အကျွန်ုပ်၏အသားနှင့် နှလုံးသည် ပျက်ကြပါ ၏။ သို့သော်လည်း၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် အကျွန်ုပ်နှလုံး၏ အစွမ်းသတ္တိ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်အစဉ်အမြဲ ခံစားရာအဘို့ ဖြစ်တော်မူ၏။

²⁷For behold, they that are far from thee shall perish; thou destroyest every one that goeth a whoring from thee.

²⁷အကယ်စင်စစ် ကိုယ်တော်နှင့် ဝေးဝေးနေသော သူတို့သည် ပျက်စီးခြင်းသို့ ရောက်ရကြပါ၏။ ကိုယ်တော် နှင့် ကွာ၍မှားယွင်းသော သူအပေါင်းတို့ကို ပယ်ရှင်းတော် မူ၏။

²⁸But as for me, it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord Jehovah, that I may declare all thy works.

²⁸အကျွန်ုပ်မူကား၊ ဘုရားသခင့်ထံတော်သို့ ချဉ်း ကပ်၍ အကျိုးရှိပါ၏။ အမှုတော်ရှိသမျှတို့ကို ကြားပြော ခြင်းအလိုငှါ၊ အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရား၌ ခိုလှုံလျက်နေပါ၏။
