2When I shall receive the assembly, I will judge with equity.
2Vi priser dig, Gud, vi priser, og nær er ditt navn; de forteller om dine undergjerninger.
3The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I have established its pillars. Selah.
3For [så sier Herren]: Jeg vil gripe den fastsatte tid, jeg vil dømme med rettferdighet.
4I said unto the boastful, Boast not; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:
4Jorden er i opløsning, og alle de som bor på den; jeg har satt dens grunnstøtter efter mål. Sela.
5Lift not up your horn on high; speak not arrogantly with a [stiff] neck.
5Jeg sier til de overmodige: Vær ikke overmodige, og til de ugudelige: Løft ikke horn!
6For not from the east nor from the west, nor yet from the south doth exaltation [come]:
6Løft ikke eders horn i det høie, tal ikke frekt med stiv nakke!
7For God is the judge; he putteth down one and exalteth another.
7For ikke fra øst eller fra vest, ei heller fra fjellenes ørken* - / {* nemlig: kommer vår frelse.}
8For in the hand of Jehovah there is a cup, and it foameth with wine, it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same; yea, the dregs thereof shall all the wicked of the earth drain off, [and] drink.
8nei, Gud er den som dømmer; den ene fornedrer han, og den andre ophøier han.
9But as for me, I will declare for ever; I will sing psalms to the God of Jacob.
9For det er et beger i Herrens hånd med skummende vin; det er fullt av krydret vin, og han skjenker ut av det; sannelig, dets berme skal de drikke, ja utsuge, alle de ugudelige på jorden.
10And all the horns of the wicked will I cut off; [but] the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
10Men jeg vil forkynne det evindelig, jeg vil lovsynge Jakobs Gud.
11Og alle de ugudeliges horn vil jeg avhugge, den rettferdiges horn skal ophøies.
