Deuteronomy

32

1Give ear, ye heavens, and I will speak; And hear, O earth, the words of my mouth!
1Bil na doh un vante aw, ka gen sin hi; ka paukam suak leiin ngai leh:
2My doctrine shall drop as rain, My speech flow down as dew, As small rain upon the tender herb, And as showers on the grass.
2Vuahtui bangin ka thu a zu ding, daitui bangin ka thu gen a tak ding; loupa nou dipdip tunga vuah bang leh lounah tunga vuahphin bangin:
3For the name of Jehovah will I proclaim: Ascribe greatness unto our God!
3TOUPA min ka suah dinga: Thupina i Pathian pia un.
4[He is] the Rock, his work is perfect, For all his ways are righteousness; A ùGod of faithfulness without deceit, Just and right is he.
4Amah suangpi ahi, a thilhih a dik kim sipsip; A om dan tengteng dan ahi; Pathian muanhuai, thulimlouhna neilou, diktat leh hoih ahi.
5They have dealt corruptly with him; Not his children's is their spot: -- A crooked and perverted generation!
5Hoihlou takin a tungah a hih ua, a tate ahi kei uh, gensiat a lohna uh ahi, suan ginalou leh genhak ahi uhi.
6Do ye thus requite Jehovah, Foolish and unwise people? Is not he thy father that hath bought thee? Hath he not made thee and established thee?
6Mi hai leh pil loute aw, huchiin maw, TOUPA na thuk sin uh? Nou honsuang, na pa uh ahi kei maw? a honbawla, a honding kip sak hi.
7Remember the days of old, Consider the years of generation to generation; Ask thy father, and he will shew thee; Thine elders, and they will tell thee.
7Nidanglai nite theigige inla, suan tampi kumte ngaihtuah dih: na pa dong inla, a honkawkmuh ding, na upaten leng, a hon hilh ding uh.
8When the Most High assigned to the nations their inheritance, When he separated the sons of Adam, He set the bounds of the peoples According to the number of the children of Israel.
8Tungnungpenin namte gam a piak laia, mihing tate a khen laiin namte gamgi a khunga, Israel suante zahin.
9For Jehovah's portion is his people; Jacob the lot of his inheritance.
9TOUPA tantuan jaw a mite ahi ua; Jakobte lah a goutan ahi uhi.
10He found him in a desert land, And in the waste, howling wilderness; He compassed him about, he watched over him, He preserved him as the apple of his eye.
10Gamdai gamah a mu ua, gamdai sia mau honhonah, a kim ua om khumin a kema, a mit- laivom bangin a kem:
11As the eagle stirreth up its nest, Hovereth over its young, Spreadeth out its wings, Taketh them, beareth them on its feathers,
11Muvanlaiin a bua a nou a tok thoua, a nou tungah kha a japa, a khate a jaka, a tuaha, a khaa a puak jel bangin:
12So Jehovah alone did lead him, And no strange ùgod [was] with him.
12TOUPA kiain a pi jela, gam dang pathian hi louin.
13He made him ride on the high places of the earth, And he ate the produce of the field; And he made him suck honey out of the crag, And oil out of the flinty rock;
13Lei mun sangte ah a tuangsaka, loua thil tung a ne jela; suangpi akipanin khuaiju a kikhohkhesak jela, suang tak akipan thau toh;
14Cream of kine, and milk of sheep, With the fat of lambs, And rams of the breed of Bashan, and he-goats, With the fat of kidneys of wheat; And thou didst drink pure wine, the blood of the grape.
14Bawng nawitui khal, belam nawitui, belamnou thau te toh, Basan uain na dawn ding.
15Then Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked -- Thou art waxen fat, Thou art grown thick, And thou art covered with fatness; -- He gave up +God who made him, And lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.
15A hinnaa Jesurunte a hongthau ua, a hong kipek ua: na na thaua, na nasaphaa, na namaitaa; a bawlpa Pathian a lehngatsanta, hotdamna Suangpi a ngaineu.
16They moved him to jealousy with strange gods, With abominations did they provoke him to anger.
16Gamdang pathiante khawngin mullitna a tok thoua, thil kihhuaiin a hehsak.
17They sacrificed unto demons who are not +God; To gods whom they knew not, To new ones, who came newly up, Whom your fathers revered not.
17Pathian hi lou, dawite kiangah theih ngei louh uh pathiante kiangah, hongkhonung om phing pathian thakte, na pi, na pute un a kihtak ngei louh uh kiangah.
18Of the Rock that begot thee wast thou unmindful, And thou hast forgotten ùGod who brought thee forth.
18Nang honsuang Suangpi na ngaisang kei, nang honbawlpa Pathian na mangngilh lai.
19And Jehovah saw it, and despised them, Because of the provoking of his sons and of his daughters.
19Huai TOUPAN a mua. A mudaha, tanu leh tapate hih heh jiakin.
20And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be; For they are a perverse generation, Children in whom is no faithfulness.
20Ka buk mang san dinga, bang a chi om him ding ua, a chi: suan thulimlou ahi ua, muan chinglou tate.
21They have moved me to jealousy with that which is no ùGod; They have exasperated me with their vanities; And I will move them to jealousy with that which is not a people; With a foolish nation will I provoke them to anger.
21Pathian hi lou thilin ka mullitna a tok thou ua; a thil ginalou un a hon heh sak uh; chia gen loutein ka mullit sak dinga, nam haitein ka hihheh ding hi.
22For a fire is kindled in mine anger, And it shall burn into the lowest Sheol, And shall consume the earth and its produce, And set fire to the foundations of the mountains.
22Ka heh a kuanga, Sheol to khon a kang, lei, a thil tung toh a kang khin, tang kingaknate a kang.
23I will heap mischiefs upon them; Mine arrows will I spend against them.
23A tunguah siatna ka chiang khawm dinga, a tunguah thal ka khah ding:
24They shall be consumed with hunger, and devoured with burning heat, And with poisonous pestilence; And the teeth of beasts will I send against them, With the poison of what crawleth in the dust.
24Gilkialin a gongthak ding ua, meipi leh siatna leh nakpiin a kang mang ding, a tunguah gamsa hate ka sawl dinga, leivuia kitholh pawlte gu toh.
25From without shall the sword bereave them, and in the chambers, terror -- Both the young man and the virgin, The suckling with the man of gray hairs.
25Polamah namsauin a si ding ua, sung lamah launain, nungak tangval, nawi nelai, lua kelsam poute tan phain.
26I would say, I will scatter, I will make the remembrance of them to cease from among men,
26Ken, ka delh jak vek dinga, mihing laka amau theihgigena ka hihmang vek ding:
27If I did not fear provocation from the enemy, Lest their adversaries should misunderstand it, Lest they should say, Our hand is high, and Jehovah has not done all this.
27Melma thangpaihna lauthawng kei leng, a melmate un thei khialin, I khut uh tawisangin a omta, huaite tengteng TOUPA hih ahi kei, chi kha le uh, ka chi.
28For they are a nation void of counsel, And understanding is not in them.
28Pilna neilou namte ahi ua, amau ah theihsiamna a om kei.
29Oh that they had been wise! they would have understood this, They would have considered their latter end!
29Aw, pil le uh hiaite a theisiam ding ua, a tu nunglam thu uh ngaihtuah ding hive un!
30How could one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Were it not that their Rock had sold them, And Jehovah had delivered them up?
30Bangchiin khatin sang a delh dia, nihin sing a taikek sak ding uh, a Suangpi un amaute a khawngkhintaa, TOUPAN amau a piak khiak a hih kei ngal uleh?
31For their rock is not as our Rock: Let our enemies themselves be judges.
31A suangpi uh lah i Suangpi bang ahi kei, i melmate mahmah theih danin leng.
32For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, And of the fields of Gomorrah: Their grapes are grapes of poison, Bitter are their clusters;
32A grep phual uh Sodom grep phual, Gomora gama om ahi: a grepte grep sinkha ahi, a gahbomte a kha:
33Their wine is the poison of dragons, And the cruel venom of vipers.
33A uainte uh drakon gu leh gulgial gu kha tak ahi.
34Is not this hidden with me, Sealed up among my treasures?
34Huai ka kholkhawm ka goubawma bilh bikbek ahi kei maw?
35Vengeance is mine, and recompense, For the time when their foot shall slip. For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that shall come upon them make haste.
35Phulak leh thuk jaw kei hih ding ahi, a siksan uh a teu hun chiangin; a siatna ni uh a hongnaita, a tung ua thil hongtung dingte a hongtung ding zok ding.
36For Jehovah will judge his people, And shall repent in favour of his servants; When he seeth that power is gone, And there is none shut up or left.
36TOUPAN a mite vai a hawm sina, a sikhate leng a hih sak ding, a thilhihtheihna uh beia, gakchih leh chihlouh kuamah mah om loua a muh hun chiangin.
37And he shall say, Where are their gods, Their rock in whom they trusted,
37Aman a pathian uh akoi ah, a muan suangpi ah loi ah;
38Who ate the fat of their sacrifices, [And] drank the wine of their drink-offering? Let them rise up and help you, That there may be a protection over you.
38A kithoihna thau uh netu, a dawn ding thillat uh uain dawnmite? Hongthouin nou hong huh uhenla, nou honhuntu hi heh.
39See now that I, I am HE, And there is no god with me; I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal, And there is none that delivereth out of my hand,
39Kei, kei mahmah ka hih thei unla, pathian dang a om kei uh; ka hihlum jela, ka hihdam sam jel; ka khuta kipan honsut thei kuamah mah a om kei uh.
40For I lift up my hand to the heavens, and say, I live for ever!
40Van lamah ka khut ka jaka, ka hinna louin ka gena,
41If I have sharpened my gleaming sword, And my hand take hold of judgment, I will render vengeance to mine adversaries, And will recompense them that hate me.
41Ka namsaute ka tathiama, ka khutin vaihawmna a kep leh ka melmate tungah phu ka la dinga, kei honhote ka thuk ding hi.
42Mine arrows will I make drunk with blood, And my sword shall devour flesh; [I will make them drunk] with the blood of the slain and of the captives, With the head of the princes of the enemy.
42Ka thalte sisan ka kham sak ding, ka namsauin sa a valh ding; thahte leh salte sisan toh melma heute lu akipanin, ka chi, a chi ding.
43Shout for joy, ye nations, with his people, For he avengeth the blood of his servants, And rendereth vengeance to his enemies, And maketh atonement for his land, for his people.
43Aw, nou nam chihte aw, a mite toh kipak un; a sikhate sisan phu a la sin ahi; amah doute tungah phu a la sin, a gam leh a mite adingin kilepna buching a bawl ding.
44And Moses came and spoke all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Hoshea the son of Nun.
44Huchiin mipite jakin huai la thu tengteng Mosiin a vagena, amah toh, Nun tapa Hosia toh.
45And when Moses had ended speaking all these words to all Israel,
45Huan, Mosiin huai thu tengteng Israel mi tengteng kianga a gen khitin, a kiang uah:
46he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words that I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to take heed to do, all the words of this law.
46Tua na kiang ua ka honthu theihsak ah na lungtang uh koih kip unla, hiai dan thu tengteng pilvang mahmaha jui dingin na tate uh thu pia un.
47For it is no vain word for you, but it is your life, and through this word ye shall prolong your days on the land whereunto ye pass over the Jordan to possess it.
47Nou adingin thil bangmahlou lel ahi keia, na hinna uh lah ahi ngala; huan, hiai thil hihin luah dinga Jordan na vagalkahna gam uah na dam sawt ding uhi, a chi a.
48And Jehovah spoke to Moses that same day, saying,
48Huan, huai ni mahin TOUPAN Mosi a houpiha,
49Go up into this mountain Abarim, mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, which is opposite Jericho; and behold the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession,
49Moab gama Jeriko jawna Abarim tangdunga Nebo tangah vahoh tou inla, Israel suante luah dinga ka piak Kanan gam va galetin:
50and die on the mountain whither thou goest up, and be gathered unto thy peoples, as Aaron thy brother died on mount Hor, and was gathered unto his peoples;
50Huchiin na unaupa Aron Hor tanga sia, a chite kianga pi a hite bang mahin na kah touhna tangah na si dinga, na chite kianga pi na hita ding hi.
51because ye trespassed against me among the children of Israel at the waters of Meribah-Kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin; because ye hallowed me not in the midst of the children of Israel.
52For thou shalt see the land before [thee]; but thou shalt not go thither unto the land which I give the children of Israel.
52Tua gam na va galmuh dinga; himahleh Israel suante ka piak gamah na lut kei ding, chiin.
