Paite

Ezra

9

1Now when these things were completed, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the peoples of the lands, according to their abominations, [even] of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites;
1Huchia hiai thilte hihkhita a omlaiin, lalte ka kiangah a hongpai nai ua, Israel mite leh, siampute leh Levi mite, gamtea mite a kipan amauleh amau a kikoihtuam kei ua, amaute kihhuainate, Kanan mite, Hit mite, Periz mite, Jebus mite, Amon mite, Moab mite, Aigupta mite leh Amor mite, dungjuiin a om uh, chiin.
2for they have taken of their daughters for themselves and for their sons, and have mingled the holy seed with the peoples of the lands; and the hand of the princes and rulers has been chief in this unfaithfulness.
2Amau ading leh a tapate uh adingin a tanute uh lakah a lata ngal ua; huchiin chi siangthou gamte mite toh amau leh amau a kihelkhawmta hi: ahi, hiai tatlekna ah lalte khut leh vaihawmmite a pipen ahi uhi.
3And when I heard this thing, I rent my mantle and my garment, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down overwhelmed.
3Huchia hiai thil ka jakin, ka puansilh leh ka puannak ka botkeka, ka khamula ka bot khiaa, lam dang sain ka tu suk maimah hi.
4Then were assembled to me every one that trembled at the words of the God of Israel, because of the unfaithfulness of those that had been carried away; and I sat overwhelmed until the evening oblation.
4Huchihlaiin saltannaa amaute tatlekna jiaka, Israelte Pathian thute jiaka laua ling michih ka kiangah a hong kikhawm ua; nitaklam kithoih hun masiah lamdang sain ka tuta hi.
5And at the evening oblation I arose up from my humiliation; and with my mantle and my garment rent, I fell on my knees, and spread out my hands to Jehovah my God,
5Huan nitaklam kithoih hun laiin ka zahlakna akipan ka thoua, ka puansilh leh ka puannak bohkeksa toh; huan ka khukdintaa, TOUPA ka Pathian lamah ka khutte ka jak khiaa;
6and said: O my God, I am ashamed and blush to lift up my face to thee, my God; for our iniquities are increased over [our] head, and our trespass is grown up to the heavens.
6Aw ka Pathian, na kianga dak tou dingin ka zumin ka zakta hi, ka Pathian: ka thulimlouhnate uh ka lu tunglam uah a pung deuhdeuha, ka mohna un vante a sunta hi.
7Since the days of our fathers, we have been in great trespass to this day; and for our iniquities we, our kings, our priests, have been given into the hand of the kings of the lands, to the sword, and to captivity, and to spoil, and to confusion of face, as it is this day.
7Ka pipute uh damlai hun akipan tu ni phain nakpiin ka namohta ua; huchiin ka thulimlouhnate uh jiakin kou, ka kumpipate uh leh, ka siampute uh, gamte kumpipate khut ah, namsau ah, saltanna ah leh, lohna ah leh, mai zumna ah, hiai ni bangin piak khiakin ka naomta uhi.
8And now for a little space there hath been favour from Jehovah our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and give us a little reviving in our bondage.
8Huan tuin sawtlou sung adin TOUPA ka Pathian ua kipanin hehpihna honglanga, suakta dinga omlai dia nutsiat dingin leh, a mun siangthoua omkipna honpe dingin, huchia ka Pathian un ka mitte uh a honsuk vak saka, ka tanna ua halhna neukha a honpiak theihna dingin.
9For we are bondmen; yet our God hath not forsaken us in our bondage, but hath extended mercy unto us before the kings of Persia, to give us a reviving, to set up the house of our God and to repair the ruins thereof, and to give us a wall in Judah and in Jerusalem.
9Sikha lah ka hi ngal ua; huchipiin leng sikha ka hihna uah ka Pathian un a hon mangngilh keia, himahleh Persia kumpipate mitmuhin chitna a honpiaa, halhna honpe ding, ka Pathian uh in ding sak ding leh, huaia a siatna bawlpha ding leh, Juda leh Jerusalema kulhbang honpe dingin.
10And now, what shall we say, our God, after this? for we have forsaken thy commandments,
10Huan tuin, Aw ka Pathian uh, hiai zohin bang ka chi ding ua? Na thupiakte lah ka lehngatsanta ngal ua,
11which thou hast commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess [it], is an unclean land through the filthiness of the peoples of the lands, through their abominations with which they have filled it from one end to another through their uncleanness.
11Na sikha jawlneite zanga, Tang dinga na paina uh, huai gam, gamtea mite nitna jiaka gam nin ahi, a kihhuainate uh, huaiin a kihhuainate uh tohkhatlam tawp akipan khatlam tawp tana hidimna jiakin.
12Now therefore give not your daughters to their sons, neither take their daughters to your sons, nor seek their peace or their prosperity for ever; that ye may be strong, and eat the good of the land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children for ever.
12Huaijiakin na tanute uh a tapate uh kiangah pe kei unla, a tanute uh leng na tapate uh adingin lasam kei un, a muanna uhiam a hauhsakna uhiam leng khantawnin zong sam kei uh: huchia na hat ua, gama a hoih na nek ua, khantawna na tate uh adia gouluah dia na nutsiat theihna ding un.
13And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God hast punished us less than our iniquities [deserve], and hast given us such deliverance as this,
14should we again break thy commandments, and join in affinity with the peoples of these abominations? wouldest thou not be angry with us till thou hadst consumed us, so that there should be no remnant nor any to escape?
14Na thupiakte bohse nawnin, hiai kihhuaite hih mite toh kituak in ka zom ding uam? Omlai ding om lou khopa, suakta ding himhim leng omlou khopa na bawlgawp matan ka tunguah na heh sin kei dia hia?Aw TOUPA Israel Pathian, nang na diktata; a suakta omlaite na honnutsiat jiakin, hiai ni bang: ngaiin, ka mohna un na maah ka om uhi; hiai jiakin lah kuamah na maah a ding thei sin ngal kei ua.
15Jehovah, God of Israel, thou art righteous; for we are a remnant that is escaped, as [it is] this day. Behold, we are before thee in our trespasses; for there is no standing before thee because of this.
15Aw TOUPA Israel Pathian, nang na diktata; a suakta omlaite na honnutsiat jiakin, hiai ni bang: ngaiin, ka mohna un na maah ka om uhi; hiai jiakin lah kuamah na maah a ding thei sin ngal kei ua.
