1For behold, the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, will take away from Jerusalem and from Judah stay and staff, the whole stay of bread, and the whole stay of water,
1Ngai dih ua, TOUPA, Sepaihte TOUPAN, Jerusalem kiang akipan leh Juda kianga kipan a muanpi u leh a muanpen uh a muanpi uh an teng teng leh a muanpi uh tui tengteng, a laksak san lai ahi;
2the mighty man and the man of war, the judge and the prophet, and the diviner and the elder,
2Mi hat leh kidousiamte toh; vaihawmmi leh jawlneimi leh, aisansiam leh, upate toh;
3the captain of fifty, and the honourable man, and the counsellor, and the clever among artificers, and the one versed in enchantments.
3Sawmnga heutu leh, mi zahtakhuai leh, lemtheimi leh, khutsiam leh jawlaisiam te toh.
4And I will appoint youths as their princes, and children shall rule over them.
4Huchiin a mi liante ding ua om dingin naupangte ka pe dinga, naungekten a tunguah vai a hawm ding uh.
5And the people shall be oppressed one by the other, and each by his neighbour; the child will be insolent against the elder, and the base against the honourable.
5Huchiin, mite nuaisiahin a om ding ua, mi chih kinuaisiahin a om ding uh, mi chih amau insakinkhangte toh kiuaisiahin a om ding uh: naupang upa tungah kisathei takin a om ding ua, mi thulimloupi nangawn mizahtakhuai tungah kisathei takin a om ding.
6When a man shall take hold of his brother, in his father's house, [and shall say:] Thou hast clothing; be our chief, and let this ruin be under thy hand;
6Min a unau a pa ina lenin, Nang silh leh ten na neia, ka vaihawmtu un om inla, hiai siatna na khut ah om heh, a chih chiangin:

9The look of their face doth witness against them, and they declare their sin as Sodom: they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have brought evil upon themselves.
9A mel latdanin amau a hek tawma; a khelhna uh Sodom bang takin a langsak ua, a im kei uh. Atung uh gik e! thilhoihlouin a kithuk tawm ngal ua.
10Say ye of the righteous that it shall be well [with him], for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

12[As for] my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people! they that guide thee mislead [thee], and destroy the way of thy paths.
12Ka mite jaw, amau nuaisiahtute naupangte a hita ua, numeiten a tunguah vai a hawmta uh. Ka mite aw, nou honpiten a honpi khial ua, na paina lamte a hihse sek uhi.

14Jehovah will enter into judgment with the elders of his people and their princes, [saying:] It is ye that have eaten up the vineyard: the spoil of the poor is in your houses.
14TOUPAN a mite upate tungah leh amau mi liante tungah vai a hawm ding: TOUPA, Sepaihte TOUPAN, Noute na hi uh, grep huan ne gaite; mi tangahte akipan sum lak na in uahte ahi a om:
15What mean ye that ye crush my people, and grind the faces of the afflicted? saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts.
15Bang achia ahia ka mite na at ua, tagahte mai na gawijan uh? achia.
16And Jehovah said, Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with stretched-out neck and wanton eyes, and go along mincing, and making a tinkling with their feet;

20the head-dresses, and the stepping chains, and the girdles, and the scent-boxes, and the amulets;
20Lutang puante, khebulh khainiang te, kawnga tente, gimlim bawmte, kikauna te;
21the finger-rings, and the nose-rings;
21Min sawnna zungbuhte, nakbulhte;

23the mirrors, and the fine linen bodices, and the turbans, and the flowing veils.
23Limlangte, puanmalngatte, dial te, kituamhoihna puante.
24And it shall come to pass, instead of perfume there shall be rottenness; and instead of a girdle, a rope; and instead of well-set hair, baldness; and instead of a robe of display, a girding of sackcloth; brand instead of beauty.
24Thau namtui tak sikin thil muat a om ding; huan, kawnggak sikin khaujen a om ding; huan, sam mam sikin talkolh a om ding; huan, puan kilawm tak sikin saiip puan ten a om ding: melhoih sikin melhoihloute a omding.
