1And it came to pass in the fourteenth year of king Hezekiah, that Sennacherib king of Assyria came up against all the fortified cities of Judah, and took them.
1Huan, kumpipa Hezekia kum sawm leh kum lina kumin hichi ahi a, Assuria gam kumpipa Sennakerib tuh Juda gama khua kulhpi nei tengteng sim dingin a vahohtou-a a lata hi.
2And the king of Assyria sent Rab-shakeh from Lachish to Jerusalem, to king Hezekiah, with a strong force. And he stood by the aqueduct of the upper pool, on the highway of the fuller's field.
2Huan, Assuria kumpipan Rabsakeh sepaihhon tampi piin Lakish khua akipanin Jerusalem khuaa kumpipa Hezekia kiangah a sawla. Huan, dil saknung tuilakna kianga puansawpmi pawn lamlianah a dinga,
3Then came forth to him Eliakim the son of Hilkijah, who was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and Joah the son of Asaph, the chronicler.
3Huchiin kumpipa inkuanpihte tunga heutu-a om Hilkia tapa Eliakim te, laigelhmi Shebnate, tanchin gelhmi Asaph tapa Joa te kiangah a hong suk uhi.
4And Rab-shakeh said to them, Say now to Hezekiah, Thus says the great king, the king of Assyria: What confidence is this in which thou trustest?
4Huan Rabsakehin a kiang uah, Hezekia kiangah hichiin gen un, Kumpipa thupitak Assuria kumpipain hichiin a chi, Na muanna kiangakna bang ahi maia?
5Thou sayest, but it is a word of the lips, [There is] counsel and strength for war. Now on whom dost thou rely, that thou hast revolted against me?
5Kidouna dinga na lemtheihna leh na hatna jaw thu lel ahi, ka chi; Kua muanga, ka tunga hel na hi maia?
6Behold, thou reliest upon the staff of that broken reed, upon Egypt, on which if a man lean, it goes into his hand, and pierces it: so is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all that rely upon him.
6Ngaiin, hiai sialluang chiang, kitan Aiguptate, muang neive; huaimin a muan aleh, a khutah a sun ding hi; Aigupta kumpipa Pharo jaw amah muang tengteng tungah hichibang ahi nakanak hi.
7And if thou say to me, We rely upon Jehovah our God: is it not he, whose high places and whose altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and Jerusalem, Ye shall worship before this altar?
7Ahihkeileh, ka kiangah, TOUPA i Pathian uh ahi ka muan uh, na chihleh, amah pen Hezekiain Judate kiangah leh Jerusalemte kiangah, Hiai maitam maah kia na biak ding uh ahi, chi-a, a mun sangte leh a maitamte lak mang sakpa hi lou hia?

9How then wilt thou turn away the face of one captain of the least of my master's servants? And thou reliest upon Egypt for chariots and for horsemen!
9Bangchin, kangtalaite leh sakol tungtuang mite thu-ah Aiguptate tunga na muanna ngaa, ka pu sikha neupente laka heutu khat leng na nan zoh ding?
10And now am I come up without Jehovah against this land to destroy it? Jehovah said to me, Go up against this land and destroy it.

11Huan, Eliakim leh Shebna leh Joa ten, Rabsakeh kiangah, Hehpihtakin na sikhate Suria pauin honhoupihtain; huailah ka theithei ngal ua; kulh bang tunga mite jakin Juda pauin honhoupih nawn ken, a chi ua.

18Let not Hezekiah persuade you, saying, Jehovah will deliver us. Has any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria?
18TOUPAN honhumbit ding, chi-a, Hezekiain a honkhem khak leh pilvang un. Nam chih pathian laka mi himhimin a gam uh Assuria kumpipa kiangah a humbitta ua hia?
19Where are the gods of Hamath and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim? and have they delivered Samaria out of my hand?
