1{[A Psalm] of David.} Strive, O Jehovah, with them that strive with me; fight against them that fight against me:
1Toupa aw, honsualte nang sualin: hondoute nang douin.
2Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help;
2Phaw neu leh phaw lian lenin, honpanpih dingin ding in:
3And draw out the spear, and stop [the way] against my pursuers: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.
3Tei leng phawi inla, hon delhte lam na dalin: ka hinna kiangah, Na hondampa ka hi, chi in.
4Let them be put to shame and confounded that seek after my life; let them be turned backward and brought to confusion that devise my hurt:
4Ka hinna hihmang tuma zongte zahlak saka hihzumin om uhen: hon hihsiatna dinga thubawlte, taijak sakin gending theilou hialin om uhen.
5Let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the angel of Jehovah drive [them] away;
5Toupa angelin hawl kawm jela buhsi huihin a mutleng bangin om uhen.
6Let their way be dark and slippery, and let the angel of Jehovah pursue them.
6Toupa angelin delh kawm jela, a lampi uh mial tak leh nal tak hi hen.
7For without cause have they hidden for me their net [in] a pit; without cause they have digged [it] for my soul.
7A jiak omlouin honmatna ding un a len uh kokhuk ah a phah gu ua, a jiak omlouin ka hinna kiakna dingin kokhuk a tou ngal uhi.
8Let destruction come upon him unawares, and let his net which he hath hidden catch himself: for destruction let him fall therein.
8A ki ginlouh laiin siatna a tungah tung henla; a len phah gukah amah mah awk henla: huaiah ke sia hen.
9And my soul shall be joyful in Jehovah; it shall rejoice in his salvation.
9Huchiin ka hinna Toupa ah a nuam ding hi: a hotdamna ah a kipak ding.
10All my bones shall say, Jehovah, who is like unto thee, who deliverest the afflicted from one stronger than he, yea, the afflicted and the needy from him that spoileth him!
10Ka guh tengteng in, Toupa, migenthei a lanzoh vuallouh laka humbitpa ahi, tagah leh genthei, a hihgampa laka humbitpa, nang bang mawngmawng kua a om? a chi ding.
11Unrighteous witnesses rise up; they lay to my charge things which I know not.
11Theihpih diktatlou hialte a hong ding ua; ka thiltheih hetlouh thu ahte thu a hon dong ua.
12They reward me evil for good, [to] the bereavement of my soul.
12Ka hinna in thil tan khop in thil hoih thil sia in a hondin hi.
13But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth; I chastened my soul with fasting, and my prayer returned into mine own bosom:
13Ken bel, a damlouh lai un, ka puansilh tuh saiip ahi a: ka hinna anngawlin ka hih genthei ngala; ka thumna tuh keimah angsung ngeiah a hongkik nawn hi.
14I behaved myself as though [he had been] a friend, a brother to me; I bowed down in sadness, as one that mourneth [for] a mother.
14Ka lawm hiam, ka unau hiam leng hi heh aw a tung ua ka omdan ding bang in ahi ka om: mi a nu kah bangin sunin ka kun hi.
15But at my halting they rejoiced, and gathered together: the slanderers gathered themselves together against me, and I knew [it] not; they did tear [me], and ceased not:
15Himahleh kei ka bai leh amau a kipak sem ua, a kikhawm hial ua: mi vuak hatte honsual ding in a kikhawm ua, huai lah ka nathei ngal kei a: tawpnuam louin honhih ek uhi.
16With profane jesters for bread, they have gnashed their teeth against me.
16Ankuang luina a nuihja chiamnuihna gente bang phetin a ha uh hon gawi khum uhi.
17Lord, how long wilt thou look on? Rescue my soul from their destructions, my only one from the young lions.
17Toupa, nang bangtan ahia na et ding? Ka hinna hihsiat a tupna lak uah honkhia inla, ka neih sunpen humpinelkai lakah hon khia in.
18I will give thee thanks in the great congregation; I will praise thee among much people.
18Kikhopna thupi takah kipahthu ka honhilh dinga: mi tampi lakah ka hon phat ding hi.
19Let not them that are wrongfully mine enemies rejoice over me; let them not wink with the eye that hate me without cause.
19Ka melmaten diklou takah hon otsan kei uhen: bangmah lou a honhote leng a mit un kihoupih sam kei uhen.
20For they speak not peace; and they devise deceitful words against the quiet in the land.
20Kituahna thu himhima gen ngal kei ua: hiai gam a om hiathiat te khemna thute a ngaihtuah jaw uhi.
21And they opened their mouth wide against me; they said, Aha! aha! our eye hath seen [it].
21Ahi, a kam un hon kamkat khum ua; Ku! Ku! i mitin i muta a chi ua.
22Thou hast seen [it], Jehovah: keep not silence; O Lord, be not far from me.
22Toupa aw, nang na mu hi, daihsan ken. Toupa aw, hon gamlat mahmah ken.
23Stir up thyself, and awake for my right, for my cause, my God and Lord!
23Ka Pathian leh ka Toupa aw, ka vaihawm dingin, ahi, ka thu a hon gum dingin, kihalhsak inla, hakin.
24Judge me, Jehovah my God, according to thy righteousness, and let them not rejoice over me.
24Toupa ka Pathian aw, na diktatna bangjelin vai honhawm sak inla; amauten hon otsan kei uhen.
25Let them not say in their heart, Aha! so would we have it. Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.
25A lungsim un, Nuam e! Huchi bang a keimaw i deih, chi kei uhen. Amah i valh khinta, chi sam kei uhen.
26Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine adversity; let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.
26Ka siatna tunga kipakte zahlak leh gending beiin om chiat uhenla; ka tung a kiliansakte zahlakna leh zumna silhsakte zahlakna leh zumna silhsak in om uhen.
27Let them exult and rejoice that delight in my righteousness; and let them say continually, Jehovah be magnified, who delighteth in the prosperity of his servant.
27Ka diktatna tunga kipakte nuama kikouin kipak takin om uhenla: Ahi, a sikha vangphatna tunga kipak sak Toupa tuh pahtawiin om hen, chi gige uhen.Huchiin, ka leiin na diktatna thu a gen dinga, na phatna thu leng nitumin a gen ding hi.
28And my tongue shall talk of thy righteousness, [and] of thy praise, all the day.
28Huchiin, ka leiin na diktatna thu a gen dinga, na phatna thu leng nitumin a gen ding hi.
