¹Hallelujah! Blessed is the man that feareth Jehovah, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

¹ خداوند را سپاس باد! خوشا به حال کسی‌که از خداوند می‌ترسد و احکام او را با رغبت بجا می‌آورد.

²His seed shall be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

² فرزندان او نیرومند می‌شوند و نسل او برکت خواهد یافت.

³Wealth and riches [shall be] in his house; and his righteousness abideth for ever.

³ خانواده‌اش ثروتمند خواهد شد و او تا به ابد کامیاب خواهد بود.

⁴Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness; he is gracious, and merciful, and righteous.

⁴ تاریکی برای آنانی که نیکوکار، بخشنده و عادل هستند، روشنایی خواهد گردید.

⁵It is well with the man that is gracious and lendeth; he will sustain his cause in judgment.

⁵ کسی‌که دلسوز و قرض‌دهنده باشد و کارهای خود را از روی عدل و انصاف انجام دهد، سعادتمند خواهد شد.

⁶For he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

⁶ شخص نیکو هرگز ناکام نخواهد شد و نام او همیشه به نیکی یاد خواهد شد.

⁷He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is fixed confiding in Jehovah;

⁷ از خبر بد نخواهد ترسید، زیرا ایمان او قوی است و به خداوند اعتماد دارد.

⁸His heart is maintained, he is not afraid, until he see [his desire] upon his oppressors.

⁸ دل او استوار است و نخواهد ترسید و شکست دشمنانش را خواهد دید.

⁹He scattereth abroad, he giveth to the needy; his righteousness abideth for ever: his horn shall be exalted with honour.

⁹ او با سخاوت به نیازمندان می‌بخشد. و خیرخواهی او تا ابد باقی می‌ماند و همیشه سربلند و با عزّت خواهد بود. شخص شریر این را می‌‌‌بیند و خشمگین می‌شود، حرص می‌خورد، و امیدش برای همیشه از بین می‌رود.

¹⁰The wicked [man] shall see [it] and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

¹⁰ شخص شریر این را می‌‌‌بیند و خشمگین می‌شود، حرص می‌خورد، و امیدش برای همیشه از بین می‌رود.
