¹And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹A stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

²Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations,

²Synu človeka, oznám Jeruzalemu jeho ohavnosti!

³and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah unto Jerusalem: Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of the Canaanite: thy father was an Amorite, and thy mother a Hittite.

³A povieš: Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin Jeruzalemu: Tvoj pôvod a tvoj rod, dcéro Jeruzalema, je zo zeme Kananeja; tvoj otec bol Amorej, a tvoja mater bola Hetejka.

⁴And as for thy nativity, in the day thou wast born thy navel was not cut, neither wast thou washed in water for cleansing; thou wast not rubbed with salt at all, nor swaddled at all.

⁴A čo do tvojho narodenia, v deň, v ktorý si sa narodila, nebol urezaný tvoj pupok, ani si nebola umytá vodou, aby ťa boli utreli, ani si nebola posolená soľou ani si nebola obvinutá plienkami.

⁵No eye pitied thee, to do any of these unto thee, to have compassion upon thee; but thou wast cast out in the open field, from abhorrence of thy person, in the day that thou wast born.

⁵Nezľutovalo sa nad tebou oko, aby ti bolo učinilo hoci len jedno z tých vecí z ľútosti nad tebou; ale si bola povrhnutá na šíre pole pre ošklivosť svojej duše, v deň, v ktorý si sa narodila.

⁶And I passed by thee, and saw thee weltering in thy blood, and I said unto thee, in thy blood, Live! yea, I said unto thee, in thy blood, Live!

⁶Potom idúc popri tebe a vidiac ťa, že kopeš vo svojej krvi, povedal som ti: Hoc aj si vo svojej krvi, ži tedy. Áno, povedal som ti: Hoc aj si vo svojej krvi, ži tedy!

⁷I caused thee to multiply, as the bud of the field; and thou didst increase and grow great, and thou camest to fulness of beauty; [thy] breasts were fashioned, and thy hair grew: but thou wast naked and bare.

⁷V desať tisíc, ako bylinu na poli, som ťa rozplodil, a rozmnožila si sa a vyrastúc bola si veľkou, dospela si k svrchovanej ozdobe: prsia ti stály plné, a tvoje vlasy narástly; ale si bola holá a nahá.

⁸And I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, and behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness; and I swore unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord Jehovah, and thou becamest mine.

⁸A keď som išiel popri tebe a videl som ťa, že hľa, tvoj čas bol už čas milovania, nuž rozprestrel som na teba svoje krýdlo a prikryl som tvoju nahotu a prisahal som ti a vošiel som s tebou v smluvu, hovorí Pán Hospodin, a tak si bola mojou.

⁹And I washed thee with water, and thoroughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil;

⁹Umyl som ťa vodou a splákol som s teba tvoju krv a pomazal som ťa voňavým olejom;

¹⁰and I clothed thee with embroidered work, and shod thee with badgers' skin, and I bound thee about with byssus, and covered thee with silk.

¹⁰zaodial som ťa vyšívaným rúchom, zaobul som ťa jemnou a drahou obuvou, opásal som ťa kmentom a priodial som ťa hodvábom;

¹¹And I decked thee with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck;

¹¹ozdobil som ťa ozdobou, dal som náramnice na tvoje ruky a ozdobnú reťaz na tvoje hrdlo,

¹²and I put a ring on thy nose, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thy head.

¹²dal som obrúčku na tvoj nos na okrasu a náušnice na tvoje uši a krásnu korunu na tvoju hlavu.

¹³Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver, and thy raiment was byssus, and silk, and embroidered work. Thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil; and thou becamest exceedingly beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

¹³A tak si sa zdobila zlatom a striebrom, a tvoje rúcho bolo samý kment, hodváb a výšivky; jedávala si najjemnejšiu múku, med a olej a bola si veľmi, preveľmi krásna, a šťastne sa ti vodilo, takže si dosiahla i kráľovstvo.

¹⁴And thy fame went forth among the nations for thy beauty; for it was perfect through my magnificence, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁴A rozniesla sa ti povesť medzi národy pre tvoju krásu, pretože bola dokonalá, pre moju slávu, ktorú som bol položil na teba, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

¹⁵But thou didst confide in thy beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy whoredoms on every one that passed by: his it was.

¹⁵Ale si sa nadejala na svoju krásu a smilnila si na svoju povesť a vylievala si svoje smilstvá na každého, kto išiel pomimo. Jeho bolo.

¹⁶And of thy garments thou didst take, and madest for thyself high places decked with divers colours, and didst play the harlot thereupon: [the like] hath not come to pass, and shall be no more.

¹⁶A vezmúc zo svojho rúcha narobila si si pestrých výšin a smilnila si na nich, voľačo také, čoho tu ešte nebolo ani viac nebude.

¹⁷And thou didst take thy fair jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given thee, and madest to thyself images of males, and didst commit fornication with them.

¹⁷Vzala si klenoty svojej ozdoby z môjho zlata a z môjho striebra, ktoré som ti bol dal, a narobila si si obrazov mužského pohlavia a smilnila si s nimi.

¹⁸And thou tookest thine embroidered garments, and coveredst them; and thou didst set mine oil and mine incense before them.

¹⁸A vzala si aj svoje vyšívané rúcha a pokryla si ich, i môj olej i moje kadivo si dala pred ne.

¹⁹And my bread which I had given thee, the fine flour and the oil and the honey wherewith I fed thee, thou didst even set it before them for a sweet savour: thus it was, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁹I môj chlieb, ktorý som ti dal, najjemnejšiu múku, olej a med, čím som ťa kŕmil, dala si to pred ne na upokojujúcu vôňu, a bolo tak, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

²⁰And thou didst take thy sons and thy daughters, whom thou hadst borne unto me, and these didst thou sacrifice unto them, to be devoured. Were thy whoredoms a small matter,

²⁰Potom si vzala svojich synov a svoje dcéry, ktorých si mi porodila, a pobijúc ich obetovala si ich im, aby ich požraly. Či to azda bolo málo, také tvoje smilstvá,

²¹that thou didst slay my children and give them up in passing them over to them?

²¹že si pozabíjala mojich synov a vydávala si ich, aby im ich previedli cez oheň?

²²And in all thine abominations and thy whoredoms thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, when thou wast naked and bare, when thou wast weltering in thy blood.

²²A pri všetkých svojich ohavnostiach a svojich smilstvách nerozpomenula si sa na dni svojej mladosti, keď si bola holá a nahá, keď kopúc nohami váľala si sa vo svojej krvi.

²³And it came to pass after all thy wickedness (woe, woe unto thee! saith the Lord Jehovah),

²³A stalo sa po všetkej tej tvojej nešľachetnosti - Oj, beda, beda tebe! hovorí Pán Hospodin -,

²⁴that thou didst also build unto thee a place of debauchery, and didst make thee a high place in every street:

²⁴že si si vystavila vysoké miesto necudnosti a spravila si si výšinu na každej ulici.

²⁵thou didst build thy high place at every head of the way, and madest thy beauty to be abhorred, and thou didst open thy feet to every one that passed by, and multiply thy whoredom.

²⁵Pri každom rozcestí vystavila si svoju výšinu a zohavila si svoju krásu a rozťahovala si svoje nohy každému idúcemu pomimo a rozmnožila si svoje smilstvo.

²⁶And thou didst commit fornication with the Egyptians thy neighbours, great of flesh; and didst multiply thy whoredom to provoke me to anger.

²⁶Smilnila si so synmi Egypta, so svojimi súsedmi veľkého tela, a rozmnožila si svoje smilstvo nato, aby si ma popudzovala k hnevu.

²⁷And behold, I stretched out my hand over thee, and diminished thine appointed portion; and I gave thee over unto the will of them that hate thee, the daughters of the Philistines, who were confounded at thy lewd way.

²⁷Preto hľa, vystrel som svoju ruku na teba a uňal som z tvojho vymeraného pokrmu a vydal som ťa do vôle tých, ktoré ťa nenávidia, do vôle dcér Filištínov, ktoré sa hanbily pre tvoju mrzkú cestu.

²⁸And thou didst commit fornication with the Assyrians, because thou wast insatiable; yea, thou didst commit fornication with them, and yet couldest not be satisfied.

²⁸Smilnila si aj so synmi Assúra, pretože si sa nemohla nasýtiť a tedy smilnila si s nimi, ale ani tak si sa nenasýtila.

²⁹And thou didst multiply thy whoredom with the land of merchants, Chaldea, and yet thou wast not satisfied herewith.

²⁹A rozmnožila si svoje smilstvo do zeme Kananeja a tak až do Chaldejska, ale ani tým si sa nenasýtila.

³⁰How weak is thy heart, saith the Lord Jehovah, seeing thou doest all these [things], the work of a whorish woman, under no restraint;

³⁰Oj, aké utrmácané je tvoje srdce, hovorí Pán Hospodin, pretože páchaš všetky tieto veci, skutok bezuzdnej ženy smilnice,

³¹in that thou buildest thy place of debauchery at the head of every way, and makest thy high place in every street! And thou hast not been as a harlot, in that thou scornest reward,

³¹keď si si vystavila svoje vysoké miesto necudnosti na rozcestí každej cesty a svoju výšinu si spravila na každej ulici a nebola si jako iná smilnica, posmievajúc sa daru.

³²O adulterous wife, that taketh strangers instead of her husband.

³²Oj, cudzoložná ženo! Miesto svojho muža berie cudzích!

³³They give rewards to all harlots; but thou gavest thy rewards to all thy lovers, and rewardedst them, that they might come unto thee on every side for thy whoredoms.

³³Všetkým smilniciam dávajú mzdu, ale ty si dávala svoju mzdu všetkým svojim milencom a podplácala si ich, aby vchádzali k tebe zo všetkých strán smilniť s tebou.

³⁴And in thee is the contrary from [other] women, in thy whoredoms, in that none followeth thee to commit fornication; and whereas thou givest a reward, and no reward is given unto thee, so art thou contrary.

³⁴A bolo u teba opak toho, čo u iných žien, v tvojich smilstvách; lebo nechodili smilniť za tebou; a preto, že si ty dávala dar, a tebe sa nedával dar, a tak si bola opakom.

³⁵Therefore, O harlot, hear the word of Jehovah.

³⁵Preto ty, smilnico, počuj slovo Hospodinovo!

³⁶Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because thy money hath been poured out, and thy nakedness discovered through thy fornications with thy lovers, and with all the idols of thine abominations, and because of the blood of thy children which thou didst give unto them;

³⁶Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Preto, že boly tvoje peniaze premrhané, a že tvoja hanba bola odkrývaná v tvojich smilstvách oproti tvojim milencom, a pre všetkých ukydaných bohov tvojich ohavností jako i za krv tvojich synov, ktorých si im dala,

³⁷therefore, behold, I will gather all thy lovers with whom thou hast taken pleasure, and all that thou hast loved, with all that thou hast hated, -- I will even gather them round about against thee, and will discover thy nakedness unto them, that they may see all thy nakedness.

³⁷preto hľa, shromaždím všetkých tvojich milencov, ktorým si sa ľúbila, i všetkých, ktorých si milovala, so všetkými tými, ktorých si nenávidela, a shromaždím ich proti tebe zo všetkých strán a odkryjem tvoju nahotu pred nimi, a uvidia všetku tvoju nahotu.

³⁸And I will judge thee with the judgments of women that commit adultery and shed blood; and I will give thee up to the blood of fury and jealousy;

³⁸A budem ťa súdiť súdami cudzoložníc a tých, ktoré vylievajú krv, a oddám ťa, aby si bola krvou prchlivosti a revnivosti.

³⁹and I will give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thy place of debauchery, and shall break down thy high places; and they shall strip thee of thy garments, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare.

³⁹Vydám ťa do ich ruky, a rozboria tvoje vysoké miesto necudnosti a rozváľajú tvoje výšiny a vyzlečú ťa z tvojho rúcha a vezmú tvoje krásne klenoty a nechajú ťa holú a nahú.

⁴⁰And they shall bring up an assemblage against thee, and they shall stone thee with stones, and thrust thee through with their swords.

⁴⁰A dovedú hore na teba shromaždenie a uhádžu ťa kamením a rozsekajú ťa svojimi mečami;

⁴¹And they shall burn thy houses with fire, and execute judgments upon thee in the sight of many women; and I will cause thee to cease from being a harlot, and thou also shalt give no more any reward.

⁴¹popália tvoje domy ohňom a vykonajú na tebe súdy pred očami mnohých žien, a tak učiním prietrž tvojmu smilstvu, ani nebudeš viacej dávať daru.

⁴²And I will appease my fury against thee, and my jealousy shall depart from thee; and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

⁴²A tak ukojím na tebe svoju prchlivosť, a moja revnivosť odstúpi od teba, a upokojím sa a nebudem sa viacej hnevať.

⁴³Because thou hast not remembered the days of thy youth, but hast raged against me in all these [things], behold, therefore, I also will recompense thy way upon [thy] head, saith the Lord Jehovah, and thou shalt not commit this lewdness besides all thine abominations.

⁴³Preto, že si sa nerozpamätala na dni svojej mladosti, ale si zúrila proti mne všetkými tými vecami, preto i ja, hľa, dám tvoju cestu na tvoju hlavu, hovorí Pán Hospodin, a nevykonáš viacej tej mrzkosti pridávajúc ku všetkým svojim ohavnostiam.

⁴⁴Behold, every one that useth proverbs shall speak in a proverb against thee, saying, As the mother, [so is] her daughter!

⁴⁴Hľa, každý, kto bude hovoriť v prísloví, povie o tebe príslovie a riekne: Jaká mater, taká jej dcéra.

⁴⁵Thou art the daughter of thy mother that loathed her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children. Your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

⁴⁵Dcérou svojej matere si ty, ktorá si zošklivila svojho muža i svojich synov, a sestrou svojich sestier si ty, ktoré si zošklivily svojich mužov a svojich synov; vaša mater bola Hetejka, a váš otec bol Amorej.

⁴⁶And thine elder sister is Samaria that dwelleth at thy left hand, she and her daughters; and thy younger sister, that dwelleth at thy right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

⁴⁶A tvoja väčšia sestra, staršia, je Samária so svojimi dcérami, ktorá býva po tvojej ľavici, a tvoja menšia sestra, mladšia od teba, ktorá býva po tvojej pravici, je Sodoma so svojimi dcérami.

⁴⁷And thou hast not walked in their ways, nor done according to their abominations; but as though that were a very little, thou hast been more corrupt than they in all thy ways.

⁴⁷Ale nechodila si po ich cestách ani si nerobila podľa ich ohavností, jako keby to bolo bývalo málo hnusu, preto si sa porušila nad ne vo všetkých svojich cestách.

⁴⁸[As] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters!

⁴⁸Ako že ja žijem, hovorí Pán Hospodin, že Sodoma, tvoja sestra, ona ani jej dcéry, nerobila tak, ako si robila ty i tvoje dcéry.

⁴⁹Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom: pride, fulness of bread, and careless ease was in her and in her daughters, but she did not strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

⁴⁹Hľa, toto bola neprávosť Sodomy, tvojej sestry: pýcha, pochádzajúca zo sýtosti chleba, a mala hojnosť pokoja i so svojimi dcérami a ruky biedneho a chudobného neposilňovala.

⁵⁰And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me, and I took them away when I saw [it].

⁵⁰Ale pozdvihnúc sa páchaly predo mnou ohavnosť, a preto som ich odpratal, tak, ako som videl, že je spravedlivé.

⁵¹And Samaria hath not sinned according to the half of thy sins; but thou hast multiplied thine abominations more than they, and hast justified thy sisters by all thine abominations which thou hast done.

⁵¹A Samária nenahrešila ani polovice tvojich hriechov, ale ty si namnožila svojich ohavností viac ako ony a ospravedlnila si svoje sestry všetkými svojimi ohavnosťanmi, ktoré si páchala.

⁵²Thou also, who hast judged thy sisters, bear thine own confusion, because of thy sins in which thou hast acted more abominably than they: they are more righteous than thou. So be thou ashamed also, and bear thy confusion, in that thou hast justified thy sisters.

⁵²Tedy nes i ty svoju potupu, ktorú si prisúdila svojim sestrám; pre tvoje hriechy, ktorými si napáchala viacej ohavností a väčších ako ony, spravedlivejšie sú ako ty. Hanbi sa tedy aj ty a nes svoju potupu za to, že si ospravedlnila svoje sestry.

⁵³And I will bring again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and the captivity of thy captives in the midst of them;

⁵³A dovediem zpät ich zajatých, zajatých Sodomy a jej dcér, i zajatých Samárie a jej dcér a zajatie tvojich zajatých medzi nimi

⁵⁴that thou mayest bear thy confusion, and mayest be confounded for all that thou hast done, in that thou comfortest them.

⁵⁴nato, aby si niesla svoju potupu a hanbila sa pre všetko to, čo si páchala, keď si ich tešila takým činom.

⁵⁵And thy sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate, and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate; thou also and thy daughters, ye shall return to your former estate.

⁵⁵A tvoje sestry, Sodoma a jej dcéry, sa navrátia do svojho predošlého stavu, i Samária a jej dcéry sa navrátia do svojho predošlého stavu, a ty a tvoje dcéry sa tiež navrátite do svojho predošlého stavu.

⁵⁶Yea, Sodom thy sister was not mentioned by thy mouth in the day of thy pride,

⁵⁶A nebola Sodoma, tvoja sestra, výstražnou kázňou v tvojich ústach v deň tvojej veľkej pýchy,

⁵⁷before thy wickedness was discovered, as at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria, and of all that are round about her, the daughters of the Philistines, who despise thee on every side.

⁵⁷driev ako bola odkrytá tvoja zlosť, ako za času potupy so strany dcér Arama a všetkých, ktoré boly vôkol neho, dcér Filištínov, ktoré ťa znevažovaly a hubily zo všetkých strán.

⁵⁸Thy lewdness and thine abominations, thou bearest them, saith Jehovah.

⁵⁸Svoju mrzkosť a svoje ohavnosti ponesieš ty, hovorí Hospodin.

⁵⁹For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will even deal with thee as thou hast done, who hast despised the oath, and broken the covenant.

⁵⁹Lebo takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Učiním ti podľa toho, jako si robila, ktorá si pohŕdla prísahou zrušiac smluvu.

⁶⁰Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with thee in the days of thy youth, and I will establish unto thee an everlasting covenant.

⁶⁰Avšak, ja sa rozpomeniem na svoju smluvu s tebou vo dňoch tvojej mladosti a postavím ti večnú smluvu.

⁶¹And thou shalt remember thy ways, and be confounded, when thou shalt receive thy sisters who are older than thou, together with those who are younger than thou; for I will give them unto thee for daughters, but not by virtue of thy covenant.

⁶¹A rozpomenieš sa na svoje cesty a budeš sa stydieť, keď dostaneš svoje sestry, väčšie ako si ty, ku tým, ktoré sú menšie, ako si ty, a dám ich tebe za dcéry, ale nie z tvojej smluvy.

⁶²And I will establish my covenant with thee, and thou shalt know that I [am] Jehovah;

⁶²A tak ja postavím svoju smluvu s tebou, a zvieš, že ja som Hospodin,

⁶³that thou mayest remember, and be ashamed, and no more open thy mouth because of thy confusion, when I forgive thee all that thou hast done, saith the Lord Jehovah.

⁶³aby si sa rozpamätala a hanbila sa a nemohla viacej otvoriť ústa pre svoj stud, keď ti pokryjem všetko a tak ťa očistím od všetkého, čo si popáchala, hovorí pán Hospodin.
