¹And it came to pass in the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, on the first of the month, that the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹A zase bolo dvanásteho roku, dvanásteho mesiaca, prvého dňa toho mesiaca, že stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

²Son of man, take up a lamentation for Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou wast like a young lion among the nations, and thou wast as a monster in the seas; and thou didst break forth in thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and fouledst their rivers.

²Synu človeka, pozdvihni trúchlospev nad faraonom, egyptským kráľom, a povieš mu: podobal si sa mladému ľvovi národov, ale ty si bol ako drak v moriach, vynoroval si sa vo svojich riekach, mútil si vody svojimi nohami a šliapal si ich rieky.

³Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I will also spread out my net over thee with an assemblage of many peoples; and they shall bring thee up in my net.

³Takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Ale rozostriem na teba svoju sieť shromaždením mnohých národov, a vytiahnu ťa v mojom vleku.

⁴And I will leave thee upon the land, I will cast thee forth upon the open field, and will cause all the fowl of the heavens to settle upon thee, and I will fill the beasts of the whole earth with thee.

⁴A hodím ťa na zem, na šíre pole ťa šmarím a učiním to, že budú bývať na tebe všelijakí vtáci nebeskí a nasýtim tebou zver celej zeme.

⁵And I will lay thy flesh upon the mountains, and fill the valleys with the heap of thy [members];

⁵Dám tvoje telo na vrchy a vyplním doliny hromadou tvojich mŕtvol

⁶and I will water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, even to the mountains; and the water-courses shall be full of thee.

⁶a napojím zem, v ktorej plávaš, tvojou krvou až po vrchy, takže sa i potoky naplnia tebou.

⁷And when I shall put thee out, I will cover the heavens, and make the stars thereof black; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give her light.

⁷A v tom, keď ťa vyhasím, zakryjem nebesia a oblečiem ich hviezdy v čierno; slnce zakryjem hustým oblakom, a mesiac nedá svietiť svojmu svetlu;

⁸All the bright lights of the heavens will I make black over thee, and bring darkness upon thy land, saith the Lord Jehovah.

⁸všetky svetelné telesá na nebi pokryjem pre teba v čierno a dám tmu na tvoju zem, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

⁹And I will vex the heart of many peoples, when I bring [the news of] thy destruction among the nations, into the countries that thou hast not known.

⁹A strápim srdce mnohých národov, keď zanesiem zvesť o tvojom skrúšení medzi národy, do zemí, ktorých si neznal.

¹⁰And I will make many peoples amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid at thee, when I brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, each one for his life, in the day of thy fall.

¹⁰A učiním to, aby sa desily nad tebou mnohé národy, a ich kráľovia sa budú náramne hroziť nad tebou, keď budem šermovať svojím mečom pred ich tvárou, a budú sa triasť každú chvíľu, každý za svoj život, v deň tvojho pádu.

¹¹For thus saith the Lord Jehovah: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee.

¹¹Lebo takto hovorí Pán Hospodin: Meč babylonského kráľa prijde na teba.

¹²By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall: the terrible of the nations are they all: and they shall spoil the pride of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.

¹²Mečami udatných porazím tvoje množstvo; ukrutní z národov sú všetci, koľko ich je a zkazia pýchu Egypta, a bude zahladené všetko jeho množstvo.

¹³And I will destroy all the beasts thereof, from beside the great waters; and the foot of man shall not trouble them any more, nor shall the cloven hoofs of beasts trouble them.

¹³A vyhubím každé jeho hovädo spopri mnohých vôd, a nebude ich viacej mútiť noha človeka, ani ich nebude mútiť kopyto hoväda.

¹⁴Then will I make their waters clear, and cause their rivers to run like oil, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁴Vtedy spôsobím to, aby opadly ich vody a ich rieky tiekly jako olej, hovorí Pán Hospodin,

¹⁵When I shall make the land of Egypt a desolation, and the country shall be left desolate of all that was in it, when I have smitten all them that dwell therein, then shall they know that I [am] Jehovah.

¹⁵keď obrátim Egyptskú zem na pustinu a púšť, na zem, vyprázdnenú z jej plnosti, keď zbijem všetkých tých, ktorí bývajú v nej, a zvedia, že ja som Hospodin.

¹⁶It is a lamentation, and [thus] they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall say it in lamenting; they shall say it in lamenting over Egypt and over all her multitude, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁶To je trúchlospev, ktorý budú spievať nariekajúc; dcéry národov ho budú spievať nariekajúc; nad Egyptom i nad všetkým jeho množstvom ho budú spievať nariekajúc, hovorí Pán Hospodin.

¹⁷And it came to pass in the twelfth year, on the fifteenth of the month, the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,

¹⁷A bolo dvanásteho roku, pätnásteho dňa toho mesiaca, že stalo sa slovo Hospodinovo ku mne povediac:

¹⁸Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, her and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the lower parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit.

¹⁸Synu človeka, nariekaj nad množstvom Egypta a svrhni ho dolu, aj on, Egypt, i dcéry slávnych národov, do spodku zeme s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy.

¹⁹Whom dost thou surpass in beauty? Go down, and be thou laid with the uncircumcised.

¹⁹Nad koho si ty krásnejší? Sostúp a polož sa ležať s neobrezanými!

²⁰They shall fall in the midst of them that are slain by the sword. The sword hath been given: draw her out, and all her multitudes.

²⁰Padnú medzi pobitými od meča; meč je daný; vlečte ho i všetky jeho množstvá!

²¹The strong among the mighty, with them that helped him, shall speak to him out of the midst of Sheol: they are gone down, they lie still, the uncircumcised, slain by the sword.

²¹Budú mu hovoriť najsilnejší z hrdinov zprostred pekla s tými, ktorí mu pomáhali: Sostúpili, ležia neobrezanci, pobití mečom.

²²There is Asshur and all his assemblage, his graves round about him: all of them slain, fallen by the sword;

²²Tam je Assúr i všetko jeho shromaždenie; jeho hroby sú vôkol neho; všetci sú pobití, padli od meča,

²³their graves are set in the sides of the pit, and his assemblage is round about his grave; all of them slain, fallen by the sword, -- who caused terror in the land of the living.

²³ktorého hroby sú dané v najzadnejších kútoch jamy, a jeho shromaždenie je vôkol jeho pohrobišťa, všetci pobití, padlí od meča, ktorí púšťali strach v zemi živých.

²⁴There is Elam and all her multitude round about her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, who are gone down uncircumcised unto the lower parts of the earth, who caused their terror in the land of the living; yet have they borne their confusion with them that go down to the pit.

²⁴Tam je Élam i všetko jeho množstvo vôkol jeho pohrobišťa, všetko pobití, padlí od meča, ktorí sostúpili neobrezaní do spodku zeme, ktorí púšťali svoj strach v zemi živých, a nesú svoju potupu s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy.

²⁵They have set him a bed in the midst of the slain, with all his multitude: their graves are round about him, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though their terror was caused in the land of the living; and they have borne their confusion with them that go down to the pit: he is put in the midst of them that are slain.

²⁵Medzi pobitými mu dali ležisko so všetkým jeho množstvom; jeho hroby sú vôkol neho, vôkol jeho kráľa, všetko neobrezanci, pobití mečom, lebo ich strach sa púšťal v zemi živých, a tak nesú svoju potupu s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy; medzi pobitých je daný.

²⁶There is Meshech, Tubal, and all their multitude, their graves round about them, all of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living.

²⁶Tam je Mešech, Túbal i všetko jeho množstvo, jeho hroby vôkol neho, všetko neobrezanci, pobití mečom, pretože púšťali svoj strach v zemi živých.

²⁷And they lie not with the mighty, [that are] fallen of the uncircumcised, who are gone down to Sheol with their weapons of war; and whose swords are laid under their heads, and whose iniquities are upon their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living.

²⁷A nebudú ležať s hrdinami, padlými z neobrezancov, ktorí sostúpili do pekla so svojimi vojennými nástrojami, a dali svoje meče pod svoje hlavy, a tak je ich neprávosť na ich kostiach, pretože boli postrachom hrdinov v zemi živých.

²⁸Thou also shalt be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shalt lie with them that are slain with the sword.

²⁸Ale ty budeš skrúšený medzi neobrezancami a budeš ležať s pobitými od meča.

²⁹There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, who in their might are laid with them that are slain by the sword: they lie with the uncircumcised, and with them that go down to the pit.

²⁹Tam je Edom, jeho kráľovia i všetky jeho kniežatá, ktorí sú vydaní aj so svojím hrdinstvom, aby boli jedno s pobitými od meča; ležia s neobrezancami a s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy.

³⁰There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, that are gone down with the slain -- ashamed of the terror which they caused through their might; and they lie uncircumcised with them that are slain by the sword, and bear their confusion with them that go down to the pit.

³⁰Tam sú kniežatá severa, všetky, koľko ich bolo, i všetci Sidonci, ktorí sostúpili s pobitými, so svojím strachom hanbiac sa za svoje hrdinstvo a budú ležať, neobrezanci, s pobitými od meča a ponesú svoju potupu s tými, ktorí sostupujú do jamy.

³¹Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword, saith the Lord Jehovah.

³¹Tých uvidí faraon a poteší sa i so všetkým svojím množstvom; mečom pobití budú faraon i všetko jeho vojsko, hovorí Pán Hospodin,

³²For I have caused my terror in the land of the living; and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised, with them that are slain by the sword, Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord Jehovah.

³²pretože som bol pustil jeho strach v zemi živých, a tak bude položený ležať medzi neobrezancami s pobitými od meča, faraon i všetko jeho množstvo, hovorí Pán Hospodin.
