1The wilderness and the dry land shall be gladdened; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.
1Veseliť sa bude z toho púšť a vyschlá pustina, plesať bude step a zkvitne jako voňavá ruža jasná,
2It shall blossom abundantly and rejoice even with joy and shouting: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of Jehovah, the excellency of our God.
2bude, bude rozkošne kvitnúť a plesať, áno, plesať a radostne prespevovať; dá sa jej sláva Libanona, nádhera Karmela a Sárona; ony uvidia slávu Hospodinovu, nádheru nášho Boha.
3Strengthen the weak hands and confirm the tottering knees.
3Posilnite spustené ruky zomdlené a klesajúce kolená zmocnite.
4Say to them that are of a timid heart, Be strong, fear not; behold your God: vengeance cometh, the recompense of God! He will come himself, and save you.
4Povedzte tým, ktorí sú bojazlivého srdca: Buďte silní! Nebojte sa! Hľa, váš Bôh prijde s pomstou, s odplatou Božou; on prijde a spasí vás.
5Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf be unstopped;
5Vtedy sa otvoria oči slepých, a otvoria sa aj uši hluchých.
6then shall the lame [man] leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and torrents in the desert.
6Vtedy poskočí kulhavý jako jeleň, a jazyk nemého bude radostne prespevovať, lebo sa vyprýštia vody na púšti a potoky na pustine.
7And the mirage shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of wild dogs, where they lay down, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.
7A povetrný prelud bude skutočne jazerom, a suchý kraj vypráhly zmení sa na vyvierajúce pramene vôd; v peleši šakalov bude ležisko pre stádo; tráva narastie v trsť i sitinu.
8And a highway shall be there and a way, and it shall be called, The way of holiness: the unclean shall not pass through it; but it shall be for these. Those that go [this] way -- even fools, -- shall not err [therein].
8A bude tam hradská a cesta, ktorá sa bude volať svätou cestou; neprejde po nej nečistý, ale bude pre nich pre samých, takže idúc tou cestou ani hlúpi nezablúdia.
9No lion shall be there, nor shall ravenous beast go up thereon, nor be found there; but the redeemed shall walk [there].
9Nebude tam ľva, ani nijaká zver dravá nevyjde na ňu, nenajde sa tam; ale pojdú po nej vykúpení,
10And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come to Zion with singing; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
10a vyslobodení Hospodinovi sa navrátia a prijdú na Sion s radostným prespevovaním, a večná radosť bude na ich hlave, veselosti a radosti dojdú, a zármutok a vzdychanie utečie.
