¹Thus saith Jehovah: Keep ye judgment and do righteousness; for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

¹Takto hovorí Hospodin: Ostríhajte súd a čiňte spravedlivosť, lebo je blízko moje spasenie, aby prišlo, a moja spravedlivosť, aby sa zjavila!

²Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the son of man that holdeth fast to it; that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

²Blahoslavený človek, ktorý to činí, a syn človeka, ktorý sa toho drží, ktorý ostríha sobotu, aby jej nepoškvrňoval, a ktorý ostríha svoju ruku, aby neučinila ničoho zlého!

³And let not the son of the alien, that hath joined himself to Jehovah, speak saying, Jehovah hath entirely separated me from his people; neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I am a dry tree;

³Nech tedy nepovie syn cudzinca, ktorý sa pripojil k Hospodinovi, vraj doista ma oddelí Hospodin od svojho ľudu. Ani nech nepovie kleštenec: Hľa, ja som suchý strom!

⁴for thus saith Jehovah: Unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and hold fast to my covenant,

⁴Lebo takto hovorí Hospodin o kleštencoch, ktorí budú ostríhať moje soboty a vyvolia si to, čo sa mne ľúbi, a budú sa držať mojej smluvy:

⁵even unto them will I give in my house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

⁵Dám im vo svojom dome medzi svojimi múrami miesto a meno, lepšie nad synov a nad dcéry; dám mu večné meno, ktoré nebude vyhladené.

⁶Also the sons of the alien, that join themselves to Jehovah, to minister unto him and to love the name of Jehovah, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from profaning it, and holdeth fast to my covenant;

⁶A synov cudzinca, ktorí sa pripoja k Hospodinovi, aby mu svätoslúžili a milovali meno Hospodinovo súc mu za služobníkov, každého, kto bude ostríhať sobotu, aby jej nepoškvrňoval, a tých, ktorí sa budú držať mojej smluvy,

⁷even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer; their burnt-offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar: for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.

⁷tých všetkých dovediem na vrch svojej svätosti a obradujem ich v dome svojej modlitby; ich zápalné obeti a ich bitné obeti mi budú príjemné na mojom oltári, lebo môj dom sa bude volať domom modlitby u všetkých národov.

⁸The Lord Jehovah, who gathereth the outcasts of Israel, saith: Yet will I gather [others] to him, with those of his that are gathered.

⁸Hovorí Pán Hospodin, ktorý shromažďuje zahnaných Izraelových: Ešte shromaždím k nemu, k jeho shromaždeným.

⁹All ye beasts of the field, come to devour, all ye beasts in the forest.

⁹Vy, poľné zvieratá, všetky, poďte žrať, i všetky zvieratá v lese!

¹⁰His watchmen are all of them blind, they are without knowledge; they are all dumb dogs that cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber:

¹⁰Jeho pozorujúci strážni sú slepí, všetci, koľko ich je; nevedia ničoho; všetci sú nemými psami, ktorí nemôžu brechať, blúznivci, lehniaci, ktorí milujú driemotu,

¹¹and the dogs are greedy, they know not to be satisfied, and these are shepherds that know not how to discern: they all turn to their own way, every one for his gain, even to the last of them:

¹¹a pažraví psi, ktorí sa nevedia nasýtiť. A to sú pastieri, ktorí nevedia porozumieť! Všetci, koľko ich je, hľadia na svoju vlastnú cestu, každý na svoj vlastný zisk od svojho konca.

¹²Come, [say they,] I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to-morrow shall be as this day, [and] much more abundant.

¹²Poďte, hovoria, naberiem vína, a opijeme sa opojného nápoja, a bude zajtrajší deň ako tento, ba ešte o mnoho väčší.
