¹The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is upon me, because Jehovah hath anointed me to announce glad tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening of the prison to them that are bound;

¹Duch Pána Hospodina je na mne, pretože ma pomazal Hospodin, aby som zvestoval pokorným evanjelium; poslal ma obviazať skrúšených srdcom, vyhlásiť zajatým slobodu a väzňom otvorenie žalára,

²to proclaim the acceptable year of Jehovah, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;

²a vyhlásiť rok milosti Hospodinov a deň pomsty nášho Boha, potešiť všetkých zarmútených,

³to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, that beauty should be given unto them instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment of praise instead of the spirit of heaviness: that they might be called terebinths of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.

³obrátiť pozor na zarmútených Siona, dať im okrasu miesto popola, oleja veselosti miesto smútku, odev chvály miesto ducha malomyseľnosti. A budú ich volať dubami spravedlivosti, sadením Hospodinovým, aby bol oslávený.

⁴And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the places desolate from generation to generation.

⁶A vy sa budete volať kňazmi Hospodinovými; povie sa vám: Svätoslužobníci nášho Boha. Budete užívať bohatstvo národov a zameníte sa v ich sláve.

⁷Instead of your shame [ye shall have] double; instead of confusion they shall celebrate with joy their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double; everlasting joy shall be unto them.

⁷Za svoju hanbu dostanete dvojnásobne. A za potupu plesať budú nad svojím podielom, a tak budú dedične vládnuť dvojnásobným vo svojej zemi: budú mať večnú radosť.

⁸For I, Jehovah, love judgment, I hate robbery with wrong; and I will give their recompence in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

⁸Lebo ja Hospodin milujem súd a nenávidím lúpeže s neprávosťou a dám im odplatu za ich prácu podľa pravdy a učiním s nimi večnú smluvu.

⁹And their seed shall be known among the nations, and their offspring among the peoples: all that see them shall acknowledge them, that they are a seed that Jehovah hath blessed.

⁹A tak bude známe ich semeno medzi pohanmi a ich potomstvo medzi národami. Všetci, ktorí ich uvidia, poznajú ich, že sú semenom, ktoré požehnal Hospodin.

¹⁰I will greatly rejoice in Jehovah, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with the priestly turban, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

¹⁰Preveľmi sa radujem v Hospodinovi, moja duša plesá v mojom Bohu, lebo ma obliekol do rúcha spásy, odial ma plášťom spravedlivosti; som ako ženích, ktorý si kňazsky zdobí hlavu stuhami, a jako nevesta, ktorá sa krášli svojimi ozdobami.

¹¹For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as a garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord Jehovah will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

¹¹Lebo jako zem vydáva svoju rastlinu, a jako zahrada ženie to, čo bolo do nej zasiate, tak Pán Hospodin spôsobí to, aby vzišla spravedlivosť a chvála pred všetkými národami.
