¹And the sabbath being [now] past, Mary of Magdala, and Mary the [mother] of James, and Salome, bought aromatic spices that they might come and embalm him.

¹A keď pominula sobota, Mária Magdaléna a Mária Jakobova a Salóme nakúpily voňavých vecí, aby prišly a pomazaly ho.

²And very early on the first [day] of the week they come to the sepulchre, the sun having risen.

²A v prvý deň týždňa včasne ráno, veľmi skoro, prišly k hrobu, keď začalo vychádzať slnko.

³And they said to one another, Who shall roll us away the stone out of the door of the sepulchre?

³A hovorily jedna druhej: Kto nám odvalí kameň odo dverí hrobu?!

⁴And when they looked, they see that the stone has been rolled [away], for it was very great.

⁴A keď pozrely, videly, že je kameň odvalený; lebo bol veľmi veliký.

⁵And entering into the sepulchre, they saw a young man sitting on the right, clothed in a white robe, and they were amazed and alarmed;

⁵A keď vošly do hrobu, videly mládenca, sediaceho na pravej strane, odiateho dlhým bielym rúchom, a preľakly sa.

⁶but he says to them, Be not alarmed. Ye seek Jesus, the Nazarene, the crucified one. He is risen, he is not here; behold the place where they had put him.

⁶Ale on im povedal: Neľakajte sa! Hľadáte Ježiša Nazarénskeho, toho ukrižovaného. Vstal, niet ho tu. Hľa, miesto, kde ho boli položili.

⁷But go, tell his disciples and Peter, he goes before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him, as he said to you.

⁷Ale iďte, povedzte jeho učeníkom, aj Petrovi, že ide pred vami do Galilee, tam ho uvidíte, jako vám predpovedal.

⁸And they went out, and fled from the sepulchre. And trembling and excessive amazement possessed them, and they said nothing to any one, for they were afraid.

⁸A vyšly rýchle a utiekly od hrobu, lebo sa triasly od strachu a boly celé predesené a nepovedaly nikomu ničoho, lebo sa bály.

⁹Now when he had risen very early, the first [day] of the week, he appeared first to Mary of Magdala, out of whom he had cast seven demons.

⁹A keď vstal z mŕtvych v nedeľu skoro ráno, ukázal sa najprv Márii Magdaléne, z ktorej bol vyhnal sedem démonov.

¹⁰*She* went and brought word to those that had been with him, [who were] grieving and weeping.

¹⁰Tá išla a zvestovala to tým, ktorí bývali s ním, žalostiacim a plačúcim.

¹¹And when these heard that he was alive and had been seen of her, they disbelieved [it].

¹¹Ale oni, keď počuli, že žije, a že ho videla, neverili.

¹²And after these things he was manifested in another form to two of them as they walked, going into the country;

¹²Potom z nich dvom, kráčajúcim cestou, zjavil sa v inej podobe, idúcim na vidiek.

¹³and *they* went and brought word to the rest; neither did they believe them.

¹³Aj tí odišli a zvestovali to ostatným, ale ani tým neverili.

¹⁴Afterwards as they lay at table he was manifested to the eleven, and reproached [them with] their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they had not believed those who had seen him risen.

¹⁴Naposledy sa ukázal tým jedonástim, keď sedeli za stolom, a karhal ich neveru a tvrdosť ich srdca, že neuverili tým, ktorí ho videli vstalého z mŕtvych.

¹⁵And he said to them, Go into all the world, and preach the glad tidings to all the creation.

¹⁵A povedal im: Iďte po celom svete a kážte evanjelium každému stvoreniu!

¹⁶He that believes and is baptised shall be saved, and he that disbelieves shall be condemned.

¹⁶Ten, kto uverí a pokrstí sa, bude spasený; a kto neuverí, bude odsúdený.

¹⁷And these signs shall follow those that have believed: in my name they shall cast out demons; they shall speak with new tongues;

¹⁷A uverivších budú sprevádzať tieto znamenia: v mojom mene budú vyháňať démonov, budú hovoriť novými jazyky,

¹⁸they shall take up serpents; and if they should drink any deadly thing it shall not injure them; they shall lay hands upon the infirm, and they shall be well.

¹⁸hadov budú brať, a keby vypili niečo smrťonosné, neuškodí im; na chorých budú vzkladať ruky, a budú sa mať dobre.

¹⁹The Lord therefore, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat at the right hand of God.

¹⁹A tak Pán Ježiš, keď dohovoril s nimi, vzatý bol hore do neba, a sadol si po pravici Božej.

²⁰And they, going forth, preached everywhere, the Lord working with [them], and confirming the word by the signs following upon [it].

²⁰A oni vyšli a kázali všade a Pán spoluúčinkoval a potvrdzoval slovo tým, že ho sprevádzaly divy. Ameň.
