1{A Song of degrees.} Jehovah, remember for David all his affliction;
1Pieseň na cestu hore do Jeruzalema. Hospodine, pamätaj na Dávida, na všetko jeho trápenie,
2How he swore unto Jehovah, vowed unto the Mighty One of Jacob:
2ktorý prisahal Hospodinovi, dal Všemohúcemu Jakobovmu sľub:
3I will not come into the tent of my house, I will not go up to the couch of my bed;
3Nevojdem do stánu svojho domu; nevyjdem na posteľ svojho ležišťa;
4I will not give sleep to mine eyes, slumber to mine eyelids,
4istotne nedám usnúť svojim očiam ani zdriemnuť svojim víčkam,
5Until I find out a place for Jehovah, habitations for the Mighty One of Jacob. ...
5dokiaľ nenajdem Hospodinovi miesta, príbytku Všemohúcemu Jakobovmu!
6Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah, we found it in the fields of the wood.
6Hľa, počuli sme o ňom v Efrate; našli sme ho na poliach Jaara.
7Let us go into his habitations, let us worship at his footstool.
7Vojdime do jeho príbytkov; klaňajme sa podnožiu jeho nôh!
8Arise, Jehovah, into thy rest, thou and the ark of thy strength.
8Povstaň Hospodine, a idi na miesto svojho odpočinutia, ty i truhla tvojej sily.
9Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, and let thy saints shout for joy.
9Tvoji kňazi nech oblečú spravedlivosť, a tvoji svätí nech plesajú!
10For thy servant David's sake, turn not away the face of thine anointed.
10Pre Dávida, svojho služobníka, neodvráť tvári svojho pomazaného!
11Jehovah hath sworn [in] truth unto David; he will not turn from it: Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne;
11Hospodin prisahal Dávidovi a vravel pravdu, od ktorej sa nevráti: Z plodu tvojho života posadím ti na tvoj trón.
12If thy children keep my covenant, and my testimonies which I will teach them, their children also for evermore shall sit upon thy throne.
12Ak budú tvoji synovia ostríhať moju smluvu a moje svedoctvá, ktorým ich budem učiť, budú aj ich synovia sedieť na tvojom tróne až na veky.
13For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his dwelling:
13Lebo Hospodin si vyvolil Sion, oň si žiada za svoj príbytok, ako povedal:
14This is my rest for ever; here will I dwell, for I have desired it.
14Toto bude miestom môjho odpočinutia až na veky; tu budem bývať, lebo oň si žiadam.
15I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her needy ones with bread;
15Jeho potravu istotne a hojne požehnám; jeho chudobných nasýtim chlebom;
16And I will clothe her priests with salvation, and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.
16jeho kňazov oblečiem v spasenie, a jeho svätí budú a istotne budú plesať.
17There will I cause the horn of David to bud forth; I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.
17Tam dám vyrásť rohu Dávidovmu a pripravím svojmu pomazanému sviecu.
18His enemies will I clothe with shame; but upon himself shall his crown flourish.
18Jeho nepriateľov odejem hanbou, a nad ním bude kvitnúť jeho koruna.
