1For ye know yourselves, brethren, our entering in which [we had] to you, that it has not been in vain;
1 Zama, nya-izey, araŋ bumbey ga bay kaŋ iri furoyaŋ araŋ do mana te yaamo.
2but, having suffered before and been insulted, even as ye know, in Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the glad tidings of God with much earnest striving.
2 Iri jin ka maa gurzugay da wowi boobo Filibi kwaara ra, mate kaŋ araŋ ga bay. Amma iri te bine-gaabi iri Irikoyo ra ka Irikoy Baaru Hanna salaŋ araŋ se, baa kaŋ gaabakasina boobo go no.
3For our exhortation [was] not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile;
3 Zama iri yaamaryaŋ, manti siiriyaŋ ra no a go, manti nda ziibi wane mo no, manti mo gulinci ra no.
4but even as we have been approved of God to have the glad tidings entrusted to us, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, who proves our hearts.
4 Amma mate kaŋ cine Irikoy n'iri gosi hal iri bara yaddante yaŋ a se, hal a na Baaru Hanna daŋ iri kambe ra, yaadin cine no iri goono ga salaŋ. Iri go ga salaŋ manti zama iri ma kaan borey se bo, amma zama iri ma kaan Irikoy se, nga kaŋ g'iri biney neesi.
5For we have not at any time been [among you] with flattering discourse, even as ye know, nor with a pretext for covetousness, God [is] witness;
5 Zama araŋ ga bay kaŋ iri mana sanni kaanoyaŋ ci baa ce fo. Iri mana sanni ci biniyay kobay ra, (Irikoy no ga ti seeda).
6nor seeking glory from men, neither from you nor from others, when we might have been a charge as Christ's apostles;
6 Iri mana darza ceeci mo borey do, d'araŋ do no wala boro fo do no, baa kaŋ iri gonda dabari iri m'araŋ tiŋandi, iri kaŋ ga ti Almasihu diyey.
7but have been gentle in the midst of you, as a nurse would cherish her own children.
7 Amma iri ciya baanikomyaŋ araŋ game ra, danga mate kaŋ cine ize hampako ga haggoy da nga izey.
8Thus, yearning over you, we had found our delight in having imparted to you not only the glad tidings of God, but our own lives also, because ye had become beloved of us.
8 Yaadin no iri mo, iri gonda araŋ muraadu gumo. Iri maa kaani iri m'araŋ no, manti Irikoy Baaru Hanna hinne bo, amma baa iri fundey mo, zama araŋ ciya iri se baakasinay hari gumo.
9For ye remember, brethren, our labour and toil: working night and day, not to be chargeable to any one of you, we have preached to you the glad tidings of God.
9 Nya-izey, araŋ ga fongu nda iri goyo d'iri taabo. Iri goy cin da zaari zama iri ma si boro kulu tiŋandi araŋ game ra. Yaadin no iri te ka Irikoy Baaru Hanna waazu araŋ se.
10*Ye* [are] witnesses, and God, how piously and righteously and blamelessly we have conducted ourselves with you that believe:
10 Araŋ ya seedayaŋ no, goray hanna, da adilitaray gora, da gora kaŋ sinda jance kaŋ dumi iri cabe araŋ game ra, araŋ kaŋ goono ga cimandi. Irikoy mo ga ti seeda.
11as ye know how, as a father his own children, we used to exhort each one of you, and comfort and testify,
11 Araŋ ga bay mate kaŋ iri goro araŋ boro fo kulu se, sanda baaba nda nga izey cine.
12that ye should walk worthy of God, who calls you to his own kingdom and glory.
12 Iri n'araŋ yaamar, iri n'araŋ bine gaabandi, iri n'araŋ ŋwaaray araŋ ma diraw te kaŋ ga saba nda Irikoy beerandiyaŋ, nga kaŋ g'araŋ ce nga bumbo koytara nda nga darza ra.
13And for this cause we also give thanks to God unceasingly that, having received [the] word of [the] report of God by us, ye accepted, not men's word, but, even as it is truly, God's word, which also works in you who believe.
13 Woodin sabbay se no iri goono ga Irikoy saabu waati kulu, zama waato kaŋ araŋ na Irikoy Sanno ta kaŋ araŋ maa iri do, araŋ n'a ta manti danga borey sanni no, amma mate kaŋ a go da cimi, Irikoy Sanno no. A goono ga goy araŋ ra mo, araŋ kaŋ ga ti cimandikoy.
14For *ye*, brethren, have become imitators of the assemblies of God which are in Judaea in Christ Jesus; for *ye* also have suffered the same things of your own countrymen as also *they* of the Jews,
14 Zama araŋ, ay nya-izey, araŋ kulu ciya dondonkoyaŋ Irikoy margey kaŋ yaŋ go Yahudiya ra Almasihu Yesu ra se. Zama araŋ mo na taabi haŋ araŋ dumey kambe ra sanda mate kaŋ i na taabi haŋ Yahudancey* do.
15who have both slain the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and have driven us out by persecution, and do not please God, and [are] against all men,
15 Ngey no ka Rabbi Yesu nda annabey wi. I n'iri mo gaaray. I si kaan Irikoy se, i goono ga gaaba nda borey kulu mo.
16forbidding us to speak to the nations that they may be saved, that they may fill up their sins always: but wrath has come upon them to the uttermost.
16 I goono g'iri ganji iri ma salaŋ dumi* cindey se hal i ma du faaba. Woodin gaa no i ga ngey zunubey toonandi alwaati kulu. Amma _Irikoy|_ futay toonanta zumbu i boŋ.
17But we, brethren, having been bereaved of you and separated for a little moment in person, not in heart, have used more abundant diligence to see your face with much desire;
17 Nya-izey, i n'iri fay d'araŋ alwaati kayna, manti bina ra bo, amma gaaham ra. Amma iri wo, iri ga tonton ka kookari gumo da anniya, iri ma du ka di araŋ moydumey.
18wherefore we have desired to come to you, even I Paul, both once and twice, and Satan has hindered us.
18 Zama iri ga ba iri ma kaa araŋ do, sanku fa ay Bulos, ay ba ay ma kaa araŋ do kaŋ manti ce fo, amma Saytan n'iri ganji.
19For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of boasting? [are] not *ye* also before our Lord Jesus at his coming?
19 Zama ifo ga ti iri beeja, d'iri farhã, d'iri farhã boŋtoba? Manti araŋ no, iri Rabbi Yesu jine a kaayaŋo waate?
20for ye are our glory and joy.
20 Zama araŋ no ga ti iri darza d'iri farhã.
