2 Chronicles

12

1And it came to pass when the kingdom of Rehoboam was established, and when he had become strong, [that] he forsook the law of Jehovah, and all Israel with him.
1 A ciya binde, waato kaŋ Rehobowam mayra sinji, a gonda gaabi mo, kal a fay da Rabbi asariya, nga nda Israyla kulu nga banda.
2And it came to pass in the fifth year of king Rehoboam, because they had transgressed against Jehovah, that Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem,
2 Bonkoono Rehobowam mayra jiiri guwanta ra binde, za kaŋ Yahuda murte Rabbi gaa, kala Misira bonkoono Sisak kande Urusalima gaa wongu.
3with twelve hundred chariots and sixty thousand horsemen; and the people were without number that came with him out of Egypt: Libyans, Sukkites, and Ethiopians.
3 A kande torko zambar fo da zangu hinka, da bari-kari zambar waydu. Borey kaŋ yaŋ kaa a banda ka fun Misira mo sinda me, ngey da Libi laabu borey, da Sukkim laabu borey, da Etiyopi borey.
4And he took the fortified cities that belonged to Judah, and came to Jerusalem.
4 A na Yahuda galley kaŋ gonda wongu cinarey ŋwa, ka kaa Urusalima mo.
5And Shemaiah the prophet came to Rehoboam and [to] the princes of Judah that had gathered together to Jerusalem because of Shishak, and said to them, Thus saith Jehovah: Ye have forsaken me, and therefore have I also left you in the hand of Shishak.
5 Kala annabi Semaya kaa Rehobowam da Yahuda mayraykoyey do kaŋ yaŋ margu Urusalima Sisak sabbay se. A ne i se: «Yaa no Rabbi ci: Araŋ n'ay naŋ. Woodin se no ay na araŋ naŋ Sisak kambe ra.»
6And the princes of Israel and the king humbled themselves; and they said, Jehovah is righteous.
6 Waato din gaa no Israyla mayraykoyey na ngey boŋ kaynandi ka ne: «Rabbi ya adilitaraykoy no.»
7And when Jehovah saw that they humbled themselves, the word of Jehovah came to Shemaiah, saying, They have humbled themselves: I will not destroy them, but I will grant them a little deliverance; and my wrath shall not be poured out upon Jerusalem by the hand of Shishak.
7 Saaya kaŋ Rabbi di i na ngey boŋ kaynandi, Rabbi sanno ye ka kaa koyne Semaya do ka ne: «I na ngey boŋ kaynandi. Ay mo ay s'i halaci, amma ay ga yadda k'i faaba d'a te alwaati kayna. Ay futa si gusam Urusalima boŋ Sisak kambe ra.
8Nevertheless they shall be his servants; that they may know my service, and the service of the kingdoms of the countries.
8 Kulu nda yaadin, i ga goro ka ciya a tamyaŋ, zama i ma ay se tamtaray da ndunnya koytaray se tamtaray bay ka fayanka.»
9And Shishak king of Egypt came up against Jerusalem, and took away the treasures of the house of Jehovah, and the treasures of the king's house; he took away all; and he took away the shields of gold that Solomon had made.
9 Misira bonkoono Sisak binde kaa ka Urusalima wongu. Rabbi windo ra jinayyaŋ kaŋ gonda darza da bonkoono windo ra jinayyaŋ kaŋ gonda darza, a n'i kulu ku hala nda wura korayey kaŋ Suleymanu te.
10And king Rehoboam made in their stead shields of bronze, and committed them to the hands of the chief of the couriers who kept the entrance of the king's house.
10 Rehobowam binde na guuru-say korayyaŋ te ka daŋ yongo waney din gurbey ra. A n'i daŋ bonkoono windi me batukoy jine borey kambe ra.
11And it was so, that as often as the king entered into the house of Jehovah, the couriers came and fetched them, and brought them again into the chamber of the couriers.
11 A ciya mo, waati kaŋ bonkoono ga furo Rabbi windo ra, kala batukoy ma koy k'i sambu ka kande, gaa no i ma ye ka kond'ey koyne ka jisi batukoy fuwo ra.
12And when he humbled himself, the anger of Jehovah turned away from him, that he would not destroy him altogether; and also in Judah there were good things.
12 Waato kaŋ Rehobowam na nga boŋ kaynandi, kala Rabbi futa mo hibi ka fun a boŋ, kaŋ ga naŋ a s'a halaci parkatak. Hala ka kaa sohõ mo, i na muraadu fooyaŋ gar Yahuda ra kaŋ yaŋ ga boori.
13And king Rehoboam strengthened himself in Jerusalem, and reigned; for Rehoboam was forty-one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city that Jehovah had chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there: and his mother's name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
13 Bonkoono Rehobowam binde na nga boŋ gaabandi Urusalima ra ka mayray te. Rehobowam gonda jiiri waytaaci cindi fo waato kaŋ a na nga mayra sintin. A may jiiri way cindi iyye Urusalima ra, gallo kaŋ Rabbi suuban Israyla kundey kulu ra zama nga ma nga maa daŋ a ra. Rehobowam nyaŋo maa ga ti Naama, Amon boro no.
14And he did evil, for he applied not his heart to seek Jehovah.
14 A na goy laalo te, zama a mana nga bina daŋ ka Rabbi ceeci.
15And the acts of Rehoboam, first and last, are they not written in the words of Shemaiah the prophet, and of Iddo the seer, in the genealogical registers? And there were wars between Rehoboam and Jeroboam continually.
15 Rehobowam goyey binde, sintinay wano ka koy kokor banda wano, manti i n'i hantum annabi Semaya tira ra, da Iddo kaŋ ga fonnay wano mo ra bo, asuley lasaabuyaŋ alaada boŋ? Rehobowam da Yerebowam care wonguyaŋey di i fundey me.
16And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David. And Abijah his son reigned in his stead.
16 Rehobowam kani nga kaayey banda, i n'a fiji Dawda birno ra mo. A izo Abiya te bonkooni a nango ra.
