2 Chronicles

14

1And Abijah slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David. And Asa his son reigned in his stead. In his days the land was quiet ten years.
1 Asa binde na booriyaŋ da haŋ kaŋ ga saba te Rabbi nga Irikoyo diyaŋ gaa.
2And Asa did what was good and right in the sight of Jehovah his God;
2 Zama a na sargay feema waaney hibandi, ngey nda tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ nangey, a na wayboro himandi bundu toorey beeri-beeri mo, ngey da Aserim..
3and he took away the altars of the strange [gods] and the high places, and broke the columns, and cut down the Asherahs;
3 A na Yahuda lordi ka ne i ma Rabbi ngey kaayey Irikoyo ceeci, i ma asariya nda lordey haggoy.
4and commanded Judah to seek Jehovah the God of their fathers, and to practise the law and the commandment.
4 A na tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ harey da wayno himandey kulu kaa Yahuda galley kulu ra, a mayray laabo mo goro baani samay a jine.
5And he removed out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the sun-images; and the kingdom was quiet before him.
5 A na gallu kaŋ gonda wongu cinariyaŋ cina Yahuda ra, zama laabo go ga goro baani samay. A sinda wongu jiiri woodin yaŋ ra, zama Rabbi n'a no fulanzamay.
6And he built fortified cities in Judah, for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because Jehovah had given him rest.
6 Zama bonkoono ne Yahuda se: «Naŋ iri ma gallu woone yaŋ cina, iri m'i windi nda birni cinari da cinari kuuku yaŋ mo, da me-daabirjiyaŋ, da karangaleyaŋ, zama hala sohõ laabo go iri jine, zama iri na Rabbi iri Irikoyo ceeci. Iri n'a ceeci, a n'iri no mo fulanzamay nangu kulu.» I cina, haya te albarka mo.
7And he said to Judah, Let us build these cities, and surround them with walls and towers, gates and bars, while the land is yet before us; for we have sought Jehovah our God; we have sought him, and he has given us rest on every side. And they built and prospered.
7 Asa binde gonda wongu marga, boro kaŋ yaŋ gonda koray da yaaji, boro zambar zangu hinza Yahuda ra. Benyamin ra mo, borey kaŋ yaŋ gonda koray da tongo, boro zambar zangu hinka da wahakku no. Woodin yaŋ kulu yaarukomyaŋ no.
8And Asa had an army that bore targets and spears: out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bore shields and drew the bow, two hundred and eighty thousand: all these, mighty men of valour.
8 Kala Zera, Etiyopi bora kande i gaa wongu marga ka kaa Maresa, boro zambar dubu, da torko zangu hinza.
9And Zerah the Ethiopian came out against him with a host of a thousand thousand, and three hundred chariots, and he came to Mareshah.
9 Waato din gaa Asa fatta zama nga nd'a ma karba. I na wongu daaga sinji Zefata gooro ra noodin Maresa.
10And Asa went out against him, and they set the battle in array in the valley of Zephathah near Mareshah.
10 Asa binde na jinde sambu Rabbi nga Irikoyo gaa ka ne: «Ya Rabbi, ni baa da banda gaako fo si no, a ma furo hinkoy da boro kaŋ sinda gaabi game ra.
11And Asa cried unto Jehovah his God, and said, Jehovah, it maketh no difference to thee to help, whether there be much or no power: help us, O Jehovah our God, for we rely on thee, and in thy name have we come against this multitude. Jehovah, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee.
11 Rabbi binde na Etiyopi borey kar Asa da Yahuda jine, hala Etiyopi borey zuru.
12And Jehovah smote the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled.
12 Asa nda borey kaŋ yaŋ go a banda n'i gaaray kal i kond'ey hala Gerar. I na Etiyopi borey wi mo gumo, hala baa afo mana cindi nda fundi, zama i n'i halaci Rabbi jine, nga nd'a wongu marga kulu. Yahuda na wongu arzaka ku mo, iboobo.
13And Asa and the people that were with him pursued them to Gerar; and the Ethiopians were overthrown, that none of them was left alive; for they were crushed before Jehovah and before his army. And they carried away very much spoil.
13 I binde na Gerar windanta galley kulu halaci, zama Rabbi humburkumay no ka kaŋ i boŋ. I na galley kulu jinayey ku, zama wongu arzaka boobo go no i ra.
14And they smote all the cities round about Gerar, for the terror of Jehovah came upon them; and they spoiled all the cities, for there was very much spoil in them.
14 I na gaa-koyey mo halaci. I na feeji da hincin da yo boobo ku ka ye ka kaa Urusalima.
15They smote also the tents of cattle, and carried away sheep and camels in abundance, and returned to Jerusalem.
