2 Chronicles

21

1And Jehoshaphat slept with his fathers, and was buried with his fathers in the city of David; and Jehoram his son reigned in his stead.
1 Yehosafat binde kani nga kaayey banda. I n'a fiji Dawda birno ra nga kaayey banda. A ize Yehoram mo te bonkooni a nango ra.
2And he had brethren, the sons of Jehoshaphat: Azariah and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah: all these were sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel.
2 A gonda kayneyaŋ, Yehosafat ize yaŋ, ngey: Azariya, da Yehiyel, da Zakariya, da Munkayla, da Azariya, da Sefatiya; woone yaŋ kulu Israyla bonkoono Yehosafat ize yaŋ no.
3And their father had given them great gifts of silver and of gold and of precious things, besides fortified cities in Judah; but the kingdom he gave to Jehoram, for he was the firstborn.
3 I baabo mo n'i no nooyaŋ boobo, nzarfu nda wura, da jinay caadante yaŋ, da wongu gallu cinarikoy yaŋ Yahuda ra. Amma a na mayra no Yehoram se, zama nga no ga ti a hay-jina.
4And Jehoram established himself over the kingdom of his father, and strengthened himself; and he slew all his brethren with the sword, and [certain] also of the princes of Israel.
4 Amma waato kaŋ Yehoram kaaru nga baaba mayra boŋ, a na nga boŋ gaabandi mo, kal a na nga kayney kulu wi da takuba, hala nda Israyla ra mayraykoy fooyaŋ mo.
5Jehoram was thirty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
5 Yehoram gonda jiiri waranza cindi hinka waato kaŋ cine a sintin ka may. A may mo Urusalima ra jiiri ahakku.
6And he walked in the way of the kings of Israel, as did the house of Ahab, for the daughter of Ahab was his wife; and he did evil in the sight of Jehovah.
6 A na Israyla bonkooney fonda gana mo, sanda mate kaŋ cine Ahab dumo te, zama a na Ahab ize way fo hiiji. A na goy laalo te mo Rabbi diyaŋ gaa.
7But Jehovah would not destroy the house of David, because of the covenant that he had made with David, and as he had promised to give to him always a lamp, and to his sons.
7 Kulu nda yaadin Rabbi mana yadda nga ma Dawda dumo halaci, alkawlo kaŋ a te Dawda se din sabbay se, zama a ne mo nga ga fitilla no a se d'a izey mo se duumi.
8In his days Edom revolted from under the hand of Judah, and they set a king over themselves.
8 A zamana ra no Edom murte Yahuda gaa. I na bonkooni daŋ ngey boŋ se.
9And Jehoram went over with his captains, and all the chariots with him; and he rose up by night, and smote the Edomites who had surrounded him, and the captains of the chariots.
9 Alwaato din Yehoram daaru, nga nda nga soojey, d'a torkey kulu nga banda. Edomancey goono g'a daŋ game, nga nd'a torkey jine borey. A tun cino ra mo k'i kar.
10But the Edomites revolted from under the hand of Judah unto this day. Then Libnah revolted at the same time from under his hand, because he had forsaken Jehovah the God of his fathers.
10 Yaadin cine no Edom murte nd'a ka fun Yahuda kambe hala ka kaa sohõ. Saaya din no Libna mo murte a gaa, alwaati follonka din ra, zama Yehoram fay da Rabbi nga kaayey Irikoyo.
11Moreover he made high places on the mountains of Judah, and caused the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, and compelled Judah [thereto].
11 A na tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ nanguyaŋ te mo koyne Yahuda tondi kuukey ra. A na Urusalima borey daŋ i ma kaaruwataray* te, a na Yahuda mo darandi nga fonda gaa.
12And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet saying, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of David thy father: Because thou hast not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah,
12 Kala annabi Iliya tira kaa ka furo a kambe ra kaŋ ne: «Yaa no Rabbi, ni kaayo Dawda Irikoyo ne: Ni mana dira ni baaba Yehosafat fonda ra, wala mo Yahuda bonkoono Asa fonda ra,
13but hast walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and hast made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit fornication, like the fornications of the house of Ahab, and also hast slain thy brethren, thy father's house who were better than thyself:
13 amma ni na Israyla bonkooney fonda gana. Ni daŋ mo Yahuda gorokoy da Urusalima waney kulu ma kaaruwataray te, sanda mate kaŋ cine Ahab dumo te. Ni na ni kayney mo wi, ni baabo windo waney, wo kaŋ yaŋ bisa nin booriyaŋ.
14behold, Jehovah will smite with a great stroke thy people, and thy children, and thy wives, and all thy substance,
14 Woodin sabbay se no a go, Rabbi ga ni borey da ni izey, da ni wandey, da hay kulu kaŋ go ni se kar da masiiba beeri.
15and thyself with sore sicknesses, with a disease of thy bowels, until thy bowels fall out by reason of the sickness day by day.
15 Ni ga azaaba da doori boobo haŋ ni teeley ra, hala baa ni teeley ga mun ni dooro kaŋ go no zaari ka koy zaari se.»
16And Jehovah stirred up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines, and of the Arabians, who [are] near the Ethiopians;
16 Rabbi mo na Filistancey biney tunandi Yehoram gaa, da Laarabey waney, wo kaŋ yaŋ ga maan Etiyopi borey,
17and they came up into Judah, and broke into it, and carried away all the substance that was found in the king's house, and his sons also, and his wives; so that there was no son left him, except Jehoahaz the youngest of his sons.
17 hala i kande wongu Yahuda gaa. I n'a hirro daaru ka furo. I na arzaka kulu kaŋ i gar bonkoono windo ra ku, d'a izey, d'a wandey, hala i mana ize alboro cindi a se baa afolloŋ, kal a koda Yehowahaz hinne.
18And after all this, Jehovah smote him in his bowels with an incurable sickness.
18 Woodin kulu banda no Rabbi ye k'a kar teelo ra nda doori kaŋ si yay.
19And it came to pass, from day to day, and at the time when the second year was drawing to a close, that his bowels fell out by reason of his sickness, and he died in cruel sufferings. And his people made no burning for him, like the burning of his fathers.
19 A ciya mo woodin, a jiiri hinkanta bananta, kal a teeley kaa ka gusam, a dooro sabbay se. A bu da doori nda azaaba. A borey mana danji funsu a se sanda mate kaŋ i te a kaayey se.
20He was thirty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being regretted. And they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings.
20 A gonda jiiri waranza cindi hinka waato kaŋ a sintin ka may. A may Urusalima ra mo jiiri ahakku. A dira, a buwo mana dooru boro kulu gaa. I n'a fiji Dawda birno ra, amma manti bonkooney saarayey ra bo.
