1Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us purify ourselves from every pollution of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God's fear.
1 Yaadin gaa, ay baakoy, za kaŋ iri gonda alkawley din, wa naŋ iri m'iri boŋ hanandi gaaham ziibo nda biya ziibo kulu gaa, k'iri hananyaŋo toonandi Irikoy humburkumay ra.
2Receive us: we have injured no one, we have ruined no one, we have made gain of no one.
2 W'araŋ biney feeri iri se. Iri mana boro kulu zamba, iri mana boro kulu halaci, iri mana boro kulu ŋwa.
3I do not speak for condemnation, for I have already said that ye are in our hearts, to die together, and live together.
3 Ay siino ga woodin ci zama ay m'araŋ ciiti ka zeeri se bo, zama ay jin ka ne araŋ go iri biney ra, hal iri go care banda, da buuyaŋ se no wala fundi se no.
4Great [is] my boldness towards you, great my exulting in respect of you; I am filled with encouragement; I overabound in joy under all our affliction.
4 Ay ga naanay araŋ gaa gumo, ay ga farhã araŋ sabbay se mo gumo-gumo. Ay to da bine-gaabi. Iri kankami kulu ra ay bina to da farhã hal a ga mun.
5For indeed, when we came into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but [we were] afflicted in every way; without combats, within fears.
5 Zama baa waato kaŋ iri kaa Masidoniya, iri fundey mana fulanzam baa kayna. Kambu kulu gaa iri du kankami. Kakawyaŋ go taray, bina ra mo humburkumay.
6But he who encourages those that are [brought] low, [even] God, encouraged us by the coming of Titus;
6 Kulu nda yaadin, Irikoy kaŋ ga bine-gaabi no bine gazantekoy se n'iri biney gaabandi Titos kaayaŋo sabbay se.
7and not by his coming only, but also through the encouragement with which he was encouraged as to you; relating to us your ardent desire, your mourning, your zeal for me; so that I the more rejoiced.
7 Manti a kaayaŋo hinne se bo, amma da bine-gaabi kaŋ a kande iri gaa araŋ ciine ra. A dede iri se mate kaŋ cine araŋ faajo, d'araŋ bine sara, d'araŋ anniya mo go d'a ay se, hal ay farhã gumo ka tonton.
8For if also I grieved you in the letter, I do not regret [it], if even I have regretted it; for I see that that letter, if even [it were] only for a time, grieved you.
8 Zama baa kaŋ ay n'araŋ biney sara nd'ay tira, a mana kokor k'ay di. Baa d'a kokor k'ay di mo (zama ay di tira din n'araŋ biney sara baa kaŋ alwaati kayna fo ra),
9Now I rejoice, not that ye have been grieved, but that ye have been grieved to repentance; for ye have been grieved according to God, that in nothing ye might be injured by us.
9 kulu nda yaadin sohõ ay go ga farhã. Manti zama araŋ biney sara se bo, amma zama araŋ bine sara to d'araŋ tuubi gaa. Bine saray kaŋ Irikoy ga ba no te araŋ se, hala hay kulu ra araŋ ma si du mursay kaŋ fun iri do.
10For grief according to God works repentance to salvation, never to be regretted; but the grief of the world works death.
10 Bine sara kaŋ dumi Irikoy ga ba no ga tuubi goy te hal a ma koy to faaba do. Tuubi mo no kaŋ boro si tunandi. Amma ndunnya bine saray ga kande buuyaŋ.
11For, behold, this same thing, your being grieved according to God, how much diligence it wrought in *you*, but [what] excusing [of yourselves], but [what] indignation, but [what] fear, but [what] ardent desire, but [what] zeal, but [what] vengeance: in every way ye have proved yourselves to be pure in the matter.
12So then, if also I wrote to you, [it was] not for the sake of him that injured, nor for the sake of him that was injured, but for the sake of our diligent zeal for you being manifested to you before God.
13For this reason we have been encouraged. And we the rather rejoiced in our encouragement more abundantly by reason of the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.
13 Woodin sabbay se no iri du bine-gaabi. Iri bine-gaabo ra mo iri farhã ka tonton Titos farhãyaŋo sabbay se, zama araŋ kulu n'a bina yeenandi.
14Because if I boasted to him anything about you, I have not been put to shame; but as we have spoken to you all things in truth, so also our boasting to Titus has been [the] truth;
14 Zama d'ay fooma d'araŋ kayna a jine, ay mana haaw. Mate kaŋ cine ay na hay kulu ci araŋ se da cimi, yaadin mo no fooma kaŋ iri te Titos jine binde ciya cimi.
15and his affections are more abundantly towards you, calling to mind the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.
15 A bine baakasina mo go ga baa ka tonton araŋ se waati kaŋ a ga fongu d'araŋ ganayaŋo, da mate kaŋ araŋ n'a ta nda humburkumay da jijiriyaŋ.
16I rejoice that in everything I am confident as to you.
16 Ay ga farhã zama hay kulu ra ay ga hin ka naanay araŋ gaa.
