Esther

9

1And in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day thereof, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them (but it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had power over them that hated them),
1 A ciya handu way cindi hinkanta ra, kaŋ ga ti Adar hando, a zaari way cindi hinzanta ra, saaya kaŋ cine bonkoono lordo maan kaŋ i ga goy d'a, hano din kaŋ Yahudancey ibarey na laakal dake ngey ga du mayray i boŋ. (Haya binde bare ka ye i boŋ, hala Yahudancey du hin ngey ibarey boŋ.)
2the Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout the provinces of king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt. And no man could withstand them; for the fear of them had fallen upon all the peoples.
2 Yahudancey binde margu ngey kwaarey ra nangu kulu bonkoono Zerses laabey ra, zama ngey ma borey kaŋ goono ga ceeci ka ngey zamba yaŋ din di. Boro si no mo kaŋ hin ka kay i jine, zama dumey kulu ga humbur'ey no.
3And all the princes of the provinces, and the satraps, and the governors and officers of the king, helped the Jews; for the fear of Mordecai had fallen upon them.
4For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went forth throughout the provinces; for the man Mordecai became continually greater.
4 Zama Mordekay gonda beeray bonkoono windo ra, a maa baaro say-say mo laabey kulu ra. Nga din, Mordekay, a beera koy jina.
5And the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword and slaughter and destruction, and did what they would to those that hated them.
6And in Shushan the fortress the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.
6 Susan faada ra mo Yahudancey na boro zangu gu wi k'i halaci.
7And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,
7 Parsandata, da Dalfon, da Asfata,
8and Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,
8 da Porata, da Adaliya, da Aridata,
9and Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,
9 da Parmasta, da Arisay, da Ariday, da Bayizata,
10the ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the oppressor of the Jews, they slew; but they laid not their hands on the prey.
10 i boro way no ize alboroyaŋ Haman Hammedata izo se (nga kaŋ ga ti Yahudancey ibara) -- i n'i kulu wi, amma i mana kambe dake arzaka baa afolloŋ gaa ka ku.
11On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the fortress was brought before the king.
11 Zaaro din ra i kande bonkoono se borey kaŋ yaŋ i wi Susan faada ra lasaabo.
12And the king said to Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the fortress, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? And what is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee; and what is thy request further? and it shall be done.
12 Bonkoono mo ne nga wande Esta se: «Yahudancey na boro zangu gu wi ka halaci Susan faada ra, da Haman ize arey mo, ngey boro way, sanku fa binde bonkoono laabu cindey ra waney. To, sohõ ifo no ga ti ni ŋwaarayyaŋo koyne? I ga ni no nd'a. Ifo no ni ga ceeci hala ka kaa sohõ koyne? I g'a te.»
13And Esther said, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews that are in Shushan to do to-morrow also according to this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.
13 Kala Esta ne: «D'a kaan bonkoono se, naŋ i ma yadda Yahudancey se kaŋ yaŋ go Susan ra, hala suba mo i ma te sanda hunkuna feyaŋo boŋ. I ma Haman ize aru wayo din gaaham buukoy mo sarku bunduyaŋ gaa.»
14And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.
I na Haman ize arey gaaham buukoy sarku bunduyaŋ gaa, ngey boro way.
15And the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but they laid not their hand on the prey.
15 Yahudancey kaŋ yaŋ go Susan ra margu Adar hando zaari way cindi taacanta hane. I na boro zangu hinza wi Susan ra, amma i mana lamba arzaka kulu gaa ka ku.
16And the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their life, and had rest from their enemies; and they slew of them that hated them seventy-five thousand (but they laid not their hand on the prey),
16 Yahudance cindey mo, kaŋ yaŋ go bonkoono laabey ra, ngey mo margu ka kay ngey fundey se. I fulanzam ngey ibarey gaa mo. I na ngey ibarey ra boro zambar wayye cindi gu wi, amma i mana lamba arzaka kulu gaa ka ku bo.
17on the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and joy.
17 I na woodin te Adar hando ra a jirbi way cindi hinzanta hane, a jirbi way cindi taacanta hane binde i fulanzam. I n'a ciya batu nda bine kaani han.
18But the Jews that were at Shushan gathered themselves together on the thirteenth [day] thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and joy.
18 Amma Yahudancey kaŋ yaŋ go Susan ra margu jirbi way cindi hinzanta d'a cindi taacanta mo. Jirbi way cindi guwanta hane ngey mo fulanzam. I n'a ciya batu nda bine kaani han.
19Therefore the Jews of the villages that dwell in the country towns make the fourteenth of the month Adar a day of joy and feasting, and a good day, and on which they send portions one to another.
19 Woodin se no Yahudancey kaŋ go kawyey ra, kaŋ yaŋ goono ga goro kwaarey ra kaŋ sinda birni cinari, i ga Adar hando jirbi way cindi taacanta ciya batu nda bine kaani han, farhã zaari kaŋ i ga nooyaŋ samba ngey nda care se hane no.
20And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters to all the Jews near and far that were in all the provinces of king Ahasuerus,
20 Mordekay na hayey din hantum ka tirey samba Yahudancey kulu se kaŋ yaŋ go bonkoono Zerses laabey kulu ra, ngey kaŋ ga maan da ngey kaŋ ga mooru.
21to establish [this] among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,
21 A n'i lordi ka ne i ma Adar hando jirbi way cindi taacanta da iway cindi guwanta mo beerandi jiiri kulu.
22as the days on which the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month that was turned to them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day; that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.
22 Zama i ra no Yahudancey du fulanzamay ngey ibarey boŋ.
23And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written to them.
23 Yahudancey binde soobay ka te sanda mate kaŋ cine ngey sintin d'a, sanda mate kaŋ Mordekay hantum i se mo.
24For Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, the oppressor of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them and to destroy them;
24 Zama Haman Hammedata izo, Agagi bora, kaŋ ga ti Yahudancey kulu ibara, kaŋ na hiila te Yahudancey se nga ma du k'i halaci, a na Pur catu no, kaŋ a feeriyaŋ ga ti goŋ, zama nga m'i gon, nga m'i halaci mo.
25and when [Esther] came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he had devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head; and they hanged him and his sons on the gallows.
25 Amma waato kaŋ ciina din bangay bonkoono se, kala bonkoono lordi tirayaŋ ra ka ne hiila laalo wo kaŋ a saaware Yahudancey boŋ ma ye ka kaŋ a boŋ. Nga nda nga izey mo, i n'i sarku bunduyaŋ gaa.
26Therefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore, according to all the words of this letter, and for what they had seen concerning this matter and what had happened to them,
26 Woodin se no i na jirbey din maa daŋ Purim, Pur maa boŋ. Sanni kulu binde kaŋ go tira din ra boŋ, da haŋ kaŋ i di sanno din boŋ, da mo haŋ kaŋ du ngey,
27the Jews ordained and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves to them, so that it should not fail, that they would observe these two days according to their writing and according to their fixed time, every year;
28and that these days should be remembered and observed throughout every generation, in every family, every province, and every city, and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them cease from among their seed.
29And queen Esther the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority to confirm this second letter of Purim.
29 Gaa no bonkoono wande Esta, Abihayel izo way da Yahudanca Mordekay hantum da hin sanni kulu zama i ma Purim tira hinkanta tabbatandi.
30And he sent letters to all the Jews, to the hundred and twenty-seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, words of peace and truth,
30 Mordekay na tirey samba mo ka koy Yahudancey kulu do, ka koy Zerses laabu zangu nda waranka cindi iyya kulu ra, ka margu nda laakal kanay da cimi sanniyaŋ.
31to confirm these days of Purim in their fixed times, according as Mordecai the Jew and queen Esther had enjoined them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, as to the matters of the fastings and their cry.
32And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book.
32 Esta hin sanno mo na Purim bato din tabbatandi hal i n'a hantum tira ra.
