1The vision of Isaiah the son of Amos, which he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
1 Bangando kaŋ Isaya Amoz izo di Yahuda nda Urusalima* boŋ, Yahuda bonkooney Uzziya nda Yotam da Ahaz da Hezeciya zamaney ra neeya:
2Hear, [ye] heavens, and give ear, [thou] earth! for Jehovah hath spoken: I have nourished and brought up children; and they have rebelled against me.
2 Ya beeney, wa maa! Ya ganda, ma hanga jeeri! Zama Rabbi salaŋ ka ne: «Ay na izeyaŋ jare, ay mo no k'i biiri, Amma i murte ay gaa.
3The ox knoweth his owner, and the ass his master's crib; Israel doth not know, my people hath no intelligence.
3 Haw ga nga koyo bay, Farkay mo ga bay naŋ kaŋ nga koyo ga ŋwaari jisi a se. Amma Israyla* s'ay bay, ay jama mana faham.»
4Ah sinful nation, a people laden with iniquity, a seed of evildoers, children that corrupt themselves! They have forsaken Jehovah; they have despised the Holy One of Israel; they are turned away backward.
4 Kaari kunda zunubikoono! Jama kaŋ gonda taaliyaŋ ga jare, Dumi kaŋ ga goy laaloyaŋ te, Izeyaŋ kaŋ ga fumbi goy te! I fay da Rabbi, i donda Israyla wane Hananyankoyo, I na banda bare a gaa mo.
5Why should ye be smitten any more? ye will revolt more and more: the whole head is sick, and the whole heart faint.
5 Man gaa no araŋ ga ba ay m'araŋ kar koyne, Kaŋ araŋ goono ga murte ka tonton? Boŋo kulu go ga dooru, bina kulu mo taabi.
6From the sole of the foot even unto the head there is no soundness in him; wounds, and weals, and open sores: they have not been dressed, nor bound up, nor mollified with oil.
Boro kulu mana i kankam, i man'i haw, I man'i tuusu nda ji mo.
7Your country is desolate; your cities are burned with fire; your land, strangers eat it up in your presence, and it is desolate, as overthrown by strangers.
7 Araŋ laabo, boro kulu si no a ra. I n'araŋ galley ton da danji, Araŋ farey mo, mebarawyaŋ goono g'i ŋwa araŋ jine, A ciya kurmu danga mate kaŋ mebarawey g'a zeeri.
8And the daughter of Zion is left, as a booth in a vineyard, as a night-lodge in a cucumber-garden, as a besieged city.
8 I na Sihiyona ize wayo naŋ danga day reyzin* kali ra tanda cine, Sanda batuko bukka kaŋ go gaasu fari ra, Wala binde kwaara kaŋ wongu n'a daŋ game.
9Unless Jehovah of hosts had left us a very small residue, we should have been as Sodom, we should have been like unto Gomorrah.
9 Da manti kaŋ Rabbi Kundeykoyo na dumi kayniyaw wo cindi iri se, Doŋ iri ciya sanda Saduma* cine, Doŋ iri ga hima Gomorata* cine.
10Hear the word of Jehovah, rulers of Sodom; give ear unto the law of our God, people of Gomorrah!
11To what purpose is the multitude of your sacrifices unto me? saith Jehovah. I am sated with burnt-offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and in the blood of bullocks, and of lambs, and of he-goats I take no pleasure.
11 Yaa no Rabbi ci: «Sargay boobo wo kaŋ araŋ goono ga te ay se, Ifo n'a ga hanse ay se? Ay farga nda feeji kaŋ i ton sargayey, Da biiriyaŋ almaney maano. Haw kuri si kaan ay se, Wala feej'ize kuri, wala hincin jindi kuri.
12When ye come to appear before me, who hath required this from your hand -- to tread my courts?
13Bring no more vain oblations! Incense is an abomination unto me, -- new moon and sabbath, the calling of convocations -- wickedness and the solemn meeting I cannot bear.
14Your new moons and your set feasts my soul hateth: they are a burden to me; I am wearied of bearing [them].
14 Araŋ handu kayyaŋey da alwaati kosante batey, Ay fundo ga konn'ey. I ciya jaraw ay se, ay farga nd'i jaraw.
15And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you; yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.
16Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; -- cease to do evil,
16 Wa nyumay ka hanan! Wa fay d'araŋ goyey laalayaŋo ay jine, Wa naŋ laala teeyaŋ.
17learn to do well: seek judgment, gladden the oppressed, do justice to the fatherless, plead for the widow.
17 Wa booriyaŋ goy dondon, wa cimi ciiti ceeci, Wa deeni kankamandikoy gaa. Wa alatuumi sanni ciiti te a ma boori, Wa wayboro kaŋ kurnye bu kalima gaakasinay.»
18Come now, let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
18 Yaa no Rabbi ci: «Wa kaa sohõ, iri ma fintal care banda, Baa day araŋ zunubey ga ciray sanda cemo, I ga ye ka kwaaray sanda neezu* cine. Baa kaŋ i ga ciray coy sanda garuure ciray, I ga ye ka ciya sanda feeji hamni kwaaray cine.
19If ye be willing and hearken, ye shall eat the good of the land;
19 Da day araŋ yadda ka gana mo, Araŋ ga laabo maafa ŋwa.
20but if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of Jehovah hath spoken.
20 Amma hala day araŋ wangu, araŋ murte mo koyne, Takuba g'araŋ ŋwa.» Zama Rabbi meyo no ka woodin ci.
21How is the faithful city become a harlot! It was full of judgment; righteousness used to lodge in it, but now murderers.
21 Guna mate kaŋ cine gallu bambata naanaykoyo din go, A ciya kaaruwa*. Nga kaŋ waato a go toonante nda cimi ciiti, Adilitaray go a ra da goray mo, Amma sohõ boro wiyey go a ra.
22Thy silver is become dross, thy wine is mixed with water:
22 Ni nzarfo ciya ni se ziibi laalo, Ni duvaŋo* mo, i n'a margu nda hari bi.
23thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves; every one loveth presents, and hunteth after rewards; they judge not the fatherless, and the cause of the widow cometh not unto them.
23 Ni maykoy ya turanteyaŋ no, zay coroyaŋ mo no, I afo kulu, me-daabu n'a ga ba. Wayboro kaŋ kurnye bu mo, I siino g'a kalima gaakasinay.
24Therefore saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, the Mighty One of Israel: Ah! I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies.
24 Woodin sabbay se no Rabbi Irikoy Kundeykoyo, Israyla Hinkoyo ne: «Ay ga dogonandi ay boŋ se no d'ay yanjekaarey. Ay ga bana ay boŋ se mo ay ibarey gaa.
25And I will turn my hand upon thee, and will thoroughly purge away thy dross, and take away all thine alloy;
26and I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning. Afterwards thou shalt be called, Town of righteousness, Faithful city.
27Zion shall be redeemed with judgment, and they that return of her with righteousness.
27 Ay ga Sihiyona fansa nda cimi ciiti, A borey kaŋ yaŋ ga tuubi mo, ay m'i fansa nda adilitaray.
28But the ruin of the transgressors and of the sinners [shall be] together; and they that forsake Jehovah shall be consumed.
28 Amma taali-teerey da zunubikooney, Ay g'i halaci care banda. Borey kaŋ yaŋ fay da Rabbi ganayaŋ mo ga leemun.
29For they shall be ashamed of the terebinths that ye have desired, and ye shall blush for the gardens that ye have chosen.
29 Zama shen* tuurey kaŋ araŋ goono ga yalla nd'ey ga ciya fanta hari. Farro ra kaley mo kaŋ araŋ suuban, Araŋ ga haaw i sabbay se.
30For ye shall be as a terebinth whose leaf fadeth, and as a garden that hath no water.
30 Zama araŋ ga ciya sanda shen tuuri-nya kaŋ kobtey goono ga lakaw, Wala sanda farro ra kali kaŋ sinda hari.
31And the strong shall be for tow, and his work a spark; and they shall both burn together, and there shall be none to quench [them].
31 Boro gaabikooni ga ciya sanda subu baano, A goyo mo sanda nune hansi cine. Ihinka kulu ga ton care banda, Danjo wiiko mo si no.
