1For Jehovah will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in rest in their own land; and the stranger shall be united to them, and they shall be joined to the house of Jacob.
1 Zama Rabbi ga bakar Yakuba banda se, A ga ye ka Israyla suuban, A g'i yeti ngey laabo ra koyne. Yawey mo ga ngey boŋ margu nd'ey, I ga dabu Yakuba dumo gaa no.
2And the peoples shall take them and bring them to their place; and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of Jehovah for servants and handmaids; and they shall take them captive whose captives they were, and they shall rule over their oppressors.
2 Dumey cindey mo ga Yakuba banda sambu ka ye nd'ey ngey nango ra. Israyla dumo mo ga ngey kwaarey tubu Rabbi laabo ra, Yawey ga ciya i se bannya nda koŋŋa yaŋ. Borey kaŋ goro ka Israyla may waato, Israyla ga ye k'i may. Borey kaŋ yaŋ n'i kankam waato mo, I ga ye k'i may.
3And it shall come to pass in the day that Jehovah shall give thee rest from thy sorrow and from thy trouble and from the hard bondage wherein thou wast made to serve,
3 A ga ciya mo Rabbi ga ni no fulanzamay ni bine sara da ni taabo, da ni tamtara gaa, wo kaŋ Babila dake ni boŋ.
4that thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased, -- the exactress of gold ceased!
4 Han din hane mo ni ga yaasay woone dake Babila bonkoono gaa ka ne: Guna mate kaŋ kankamandikwa kokor d'a! Mate kaŋ a futa ban d'a.
5Jehovah hath broken the staff of the wicked, the sceptre of the rulers.
5 Rabbi na boro laaley goobo ceeri, Kaŋ ga ti mayraykoyey sarjilla.
6He that smote the peoples in wrath with a relentless stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted unsparingly.
6 A soobay ka dumey kar nga futa ra, A na ndunnya dumey may mo da futay da kankami kaŋ sinda boro kaŋ g'a ganji.
7The whole earth is at rest, is quiet: they break forth into singing.
7 Ndunnya kulu goono ga goro kaŋ sinda fitina, kala laakal kanay. I ga tun da farhã dooni mo.
8Even the cypresses rejoice at thee, the cedars of Lebanon, [saying,] Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.
8 Oho, sipres* tuurey ga farhã nin, Babila bonkoono boŋ, Liban ra sedre* nyaŋey goono ga ne: «Za kaŋ i na ni zeeri, Beeriko fo mana cindi kaŋ ga tun iri gaa.»
9Sheol from beneath is moved for thee to meet [thee] at thy coming, stirring up the dead for thee, all the he-goats of the earth; making to rise from their thrones all the kings of the nations.
Ndunnya dumey bonkooney kulu, Alaahara g'i tunandi i ma zumbu ngey kargey boŋ.
10All of them shall answer and say unto thee, Art thou also become powerless as we; art thou become like unto us!
11-- Thy pomp is brought down to Sheol, the noise of thy lyres: the maggot is spread under thee, and worms cover thee.
11 Ni koytaray darza zumbu hala Alaahara, Hala nda ni tubaley* hẽeney kulu. Nooniyaŋ go ni cire ga daaru, Nooniyaŋ mo ga ni daabu.
12How art thou fallen from heaven, Lucifer, son of the morning! Thou art cut down to the ground, that didst prostrate the nations!
12 Ya nin, handariya darzakoy, mo boyaŋ ize aro, Nin neeya ka fun beene ka kaŋ. Nin, ndunnya dumey kaynandikwa, I ga ni zeeri hala ganda.
13And thou that didst say in thy heart, I will ascend into the heavens, I will exalt my throne above the stars of ùGod, and I will sit upon the mount of assembly, in the recesses of the north;
13 Zama ni bina ra no ni ne: «Hala beene no ay ga kaaru, Ay g'ay karga beerandi no Irikoy handariyayzey boŋ, Ay ga goro jama marga tondo boŋ, Hala yongo azawa kamba me.
14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most High:
14 Ay ma kaaru noodin beene hirriyaŋ beerey boŋ, Ay m'ay boŋ ciya Beeray-Beeri-Koyo cine.»
15none the less art thou brought down to Sheol, to the recesses of the pit.
15 Amma hala Alaahara no i ga zulli nda nin, Ka konda nin hala guuso citi.
16They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee; they shall consider thee, [saying,] Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that shook kingdoms;
17[that] made the world as a wilderness, and overthrew the cities thereof; [that] dismissed not his prisoners homewards?
18-- All the kings of the nations, all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house;
18 Ndunnya dumey bonkooney kulu, oho, i kulu, Darza ra no i ga kani, boro kulu nga saara ra.
19but thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, covered with the slain -- those thrust through with the sword, that go down to the stones of the pit: like a carcase trodden under foot.
19 Amma nin wo, i na ni furu zaati no ya-haray ni saara banda, Sanda tuuri kambe kaŋ i ga dond'a cine. I na ni daabu nda buukoyaŋ kaŋ wongu n'i gundey fun da takuba, Kaŋ yaŋ goono ga zulli ka koy guuso ra tondey do, Sanda buuko kaŋ ce ga taamu-taamu cine.
20Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial; for thou hast destroyed thy land, hast slain thy people. Of the seed of evildoers no mention shall be made for ever.
21Prepare ye slaughter for his children, because of the iniquity of their fathers; that they may not rise up and possess the earth, nor fill the face of the world with cities.
22For I will rise up against them, saith Jehovah of hosts, and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and scion and descendant, saith Jehovah.
22 Ay bumbo mo, ay ga tun ka gaaba nd'ey. Yaadin no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
23And I will make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water; and I will sweep it with the besom of destruction, saith Jehovah of hosts.
23 Ay ga Babila ciya kuunu nangoray, Da hari bangu-bangu yaŋ. Ay m'a haabu mo nda halaciyaŋ haabirji, Yaadin no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci.
24Jehovah of hosts hath sworn saying, Assuredly as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, it shall stand:
24 Rabbi Kundeykoyo ze ka ne: Daahir, mate kaŋ ay soola, woodin no ga te. Mate kaŋ cine ay waadu mo, yaadin no a ga kay.
25to break the Assyrian in my land; and upon my mountains will I tread him under foot; and his yoke shall depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.
25 Ay ga Assiriya ceeri ay laabo ra. Ay tondi kuukey boŋ mo no ay g'a taamu-taamu. Gaa no a calo ga fun ay jama jinde bandey gaa, A tiŋa mo ga zumbu ka fun i jasey boŋ.
26This is the counsel which is purposed concerning the whole earth; and this is the hand which is stretched out upon all the nations.
26 Waadu nooya kaŋ ay waadu ndunnya kulu se, Kambe mo nooya kaŋ go sambante ndunnya dumey kulu boŋ.
27For Jehovah of hosts hath purposed, and who shall frustrate [it]? And his hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?
27 Zama Rabbi Kundeykoyo no k'a waadu, May binde no g'a ganji? A kambe go sambante mo, may binde no g'a bare?
28In the year of the death of king Ahaz was this burden:
28 Jiiro kaŋ ra bonkoono Ahaz bu no annabitaray sanni woone wo kaa:
29Rejoice not thou, Philistia, all of thee, because the rod that smote thee is broken; for out of the serpent's root shall come forth a viper, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
Zama gondi kaajo gaa no gazama ga fatta, Gazama hayyaŋ mo ga hima gondi futo kaŋ ga zuru danga mali cine.
30And the firstborn of the poor shall feed, and the needy shall lie down in safety; but I will kill thy root with famine, and thy remnant shall be slain.
30 Talka ize hay-jina ga du ŋwaari, Jaŋaykoy mo ga kani baani samay. Amma a ga ni kaajo wi da haray, Ni waney kaŋ cindi mo, hara g'i wi.
31Howl, O gate! cry, O city! thou, Philistia, art wholly dissolved; for there cometh from the north a smoke, and none remaineth apart in his gatherings [of troops].
31 Ya nin faada meyo, ma wurru! Ya gallo, ma kaati nda jinde beeri! Ya Filistiya, araŋ kulu, araŋ kar ka say. Zama azawa kambe haray no dullu goono ga fun, Boro fo mo si no kaŋ ga fatta sasara ra.
32And what shall be answered to the messengers of the nation? That Jehovah hath founded Zion, and the afflicted of his people find refuge in it.
