1The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkijah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:
1 Irimiya Hilciya izo ya alfaga* fo no kaŋ go Anatot kwaara alfagey ra Benyamin laabo ra.
2to whom the word of Jehovah came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign;
2 A me ra no Rabbi Sanno kaa Yahuda koyo Yosiya Amon izo jirbey ra, ka sintin a mayra jiiri way cindi hinzanta ra.
3it came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah, king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive, in the fifth month.
3 Sanno ye ka kaa mo koyne Yahuda bonkoono Yehoyacim Yosiya izo jirbey ra, kal a koy ka to Yahuda bonkoono Zedeciya Yosiya izo jiiri way cindi fa bananta ra, ka koy alwaato kaŋ Urusalima* koy tamtaray, handu guwanta ra. A sanney neeya:
4And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
4 Rabbi sanno kaa ay do ka ne:
5Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I hallowed thee, I appointed thee a prophet unto the nations.
5 Za ay mana ni taka gunde ra no ay ga ni bay. Za ni mana fun gunde ra mo no ay na ni fay waani. Ay na ni daŋ annabi* ndunnya dumey se.
6And I said, Alas, Lord Jehovah! behold, I cannot speak; for I am a child.
6 Alwaato din ay ne: «Hay! Rabbi Koy Beero! Ay go, ay si waani sanni, zama ay ya zanka no.»
7But Jehovah said unto me, Say not, I am a child; for thou shalt go to whomsoever I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.
7 Amma Rabbi ne ay se: Ma si ne ni ya zanka no. Zama ni ga koy nangu kulu kaŋ ay na ni donton. Haŋ kaŋ me ay na ni lordi mo, ni g'a ci.
8Be not afraid of them; for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith Jehovah.
8 Ma si humbur'ey, zama ay go ni banda ay ma ni kaa kambe se. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
9And Jehovah put forth his hand and touched my mouth; and Jehovah said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
9 Kala Rabbi na nga kamba salle k'ay meyo ham. Rabbi ne ay se mo: A go, ay n'ay sanney daŋ ni meyo ra.
10See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to pluck up, and to break down, and to destroy, and to overthrow, to build and to plant.
10 Guna, hunkuna ay na ni daŋ ndunnya dumey nda mayrayey boŋ, zama ni m'i zeeri, m'i bagu-bagu, m'i halaci, m'i hibandi, m'i cina, m'i tilam mo.
11And the word of Jehovah came to me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond-tree.
11 Rabbi sanno ye ka kaa ay do koyne ka ne: Irimiya, ifo no ni go ga di? Ay ne: «Ay goono ga di amand* tuuri goobu.»
12And Jehovah said unto me, Thou hast well seen; for I am watchful over my word to perform it.
12 Kala Rabbi ne ay se: A ga saba, haŋ kaŋ ni di din, zama ay g'ay sanno haggoy zama y'a toonandi.
13And the word of Jehovah came to me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething-pot, and its face is from the north.
13 Rabbi sanno ye ka kaa ay do koyne sorro hinkanta, ka ne: Ifo no ni go ga di? Ay ne: «Ay go ga di kusu kaŋ goono ga zarga. A meyo mo go ga dandi kambe haray guna.»
14And Jehovah said unto me, Out of the north shall evil break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.
14 Waato din gaa no Rabbi ne ay se: Azawa kambe haray no masiiba ga fun ka kaŋ laabo gorokoy kulu boŋ.
15For behold, I am calling all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith Jehovah, and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah:

16and I will pronounce my judgments against them for all their wickedness, in that they have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

17Thou, therefore, gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I shall command thee: be not dismayed at them, lest I cause thee to be dismayed before them.
17 Sohõ binde, ni ma tun ka guddu. Ma ci i se hay kulu kaŋ ay na ni lordi nd'a. Ma si humburu i jine, zama ay ma si ni humburandi i jine.
18And I, behold, I appoint thee this day as a strong city, and an iron pillar, and brazen walls, against the whole land; against the kings of Judah, against its princes, against its priests, and against the people of the land.

19And they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee, saith Jehovah, to deliver thee.
