Jeremiah

26

1In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, the king of Judah, came this word from Jehovah, saying,
1 Yahuda bonkoono Yehoyacim Yosiya izo mayra sintinyaŋo waate, sanni woone kaa ka fun Rabbi do ka ne:
2Thus saith Jehovah: Stand in the court of Jehovah's house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in Jehovah's house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them: diminish not a word.
2 Yaa no Rabbi ci: Ma koy ka kay Rabbi windo batama ra, ka salaŋ Yahuda galley kulu borey kaŋ yaŋ ga kaa ka sududu Rabbi windo ra se. Ma ci i se sanney kulu kaŋ yaŋ ay ga ni lordi nd'a. Ni ma ci i se, ma si baa sanni ize folloŋ zabu.
3Peradventure they will hearken, and turn every man from his evil way, that I may repent me of the evil which I purpose to do unto them because of the wickedness of their doings.
4And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah: If ye will not hearken unto me, to walk in my law, which I have set before you,
4 Ni ga ne i se: Yaa no Rabbi ci: D'araŋ wangu ka hangan ay se k'ay asariya kaŋ ay daŋ araŋ jine din gana,
5to hearken unto the words of my servants the prophets, whom I have sent unto you, even rising early and sending [them], but ye have not hearkened,
6-- then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.
6 To, yaadin gaa kal ay mo, ay ma windo wo ciya sanda Silo cine, ay ma gallo wo mo ciya laaliyaŋ sabaabu ndunnya dumey kulu se.
7And the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of Jehovah.
7 Alfagey da annabey da jama kulu binde maa Irimiya goono ga sanney din salaŋ Rabbi windo ra.
8And it came to pass when Jeremiah had ended speaking all that Jehovah had commanded [him] to speak unto all the people, that the priests and the prophets and all the people seized him, saying, Thou shalt certainly die.
8 A ciya binde, waato kaŋ Irimiya na sanney kulu kaŋ Rabbi n'a lordi nd'a nga ma ci jama se ci ka ban, kala alfagey da annabey da jama kulu n'a di. I ne: «Daahir, ni ga bu no!»
9Why hast thou prophesied in the name of Jehovah, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate, without inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of Jehovah.
9 I ne mo koyne: «Ifo se no ni na annabitaray te Rabbi maa ra, hala ni ne: ‹Windo wo ga ciya sanda Silo cine, gallo wo mo ga ciya kurmu, kaŋ sinda goroko?› » Jama kulu binde margu Irimiya boŋ Rabbi windo ra.
10And the princes of Judah heard these things; and they went up from the king's house unto the house of Jehovah, and sat in the entry of the new gate of Jehovah.
10 Waato kaŋ Yahuda mayraykoyey maa woodin baaru, i tun ka fun bonkoono windo ra ka kaa noodin Rabbi windo ra. I goro Rabbi windo Me Tajo gaa.
11And the priests and the prophets spoke unto the princes and to all the people, saying, This man is worthy to die, for he hath prophesied against this city, as ye have heard with your ears.
11 Waato din gaa no alfagey da annabey salaŋ mayraykoyey da jama kulu se ka ne: «Boro woone wo, i ma buuyaŋ ciiti dumbu a boŋ, zama a na annabitaray te ka gaaba nda gallo wo, mate kaŋ araŋ maa d'araŋ hangey.»
12And Jeremiah spoke to all the princes and to all the people, saying, Jehovah sent me to prophesy against this house and against this city all the words that ye have heard.
12 Gaa no Irimiya mo salaŋ mayraykoyey da jama kulu se ka ne: «Rabbi n'ay donton no ay ma annabitaray te da sanney wo kulu kaŋ yaŋ araŋ maa, kaseetiyaŋ kaŋ ga gaaba nda windo wo da gallo wo.
13And now, amend your ways and your doings, and hearken to the voice of Jehovah your God; and Jehovah will repent him of the evil that he hath pronounced against you.
13 Sohõ binde, kal araŋ m'araŋ fondey d'araŋ goyey barmay ka Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo sanno gana. Rabbi mo ga ye ka bare, a ma masiiba kaŋ a ci araŋ boŋ din naŋ.
14But as for me, behold, I am in your hand; do unto me as seemeth good and right in your eyes:
14 Ay wo kay, ay neeya araŋ kambe ra. Kal araŋ ma te ay se haŋ kaŋ ga boori da haŋ kaŋ ga saba araŋ diyaŋ gaa.
15only know for certain that if ye put me to death, ye shall surely bring innocent blood upon yourselves, and upon this city, and upon the inhabitants thereof; for of a truth Jehovah hath sent me unto you to speak all these words in your ears.
15 Kala day araŋ ma bay kaŋ woone wo cimi no: d'araŋ n'ay wi, araŋ ga boro kaŋ sinda taali kuri alhakku candi ka kande araŋ bumbey, da gallo wo, d'a ra gorokoy kulu boŋ. Zama daahir Rabbi n'ay donton araŋ do no, ay ma sanney wo kulu ci araŋ hangey ra.»
16And the princes and all the people said unto the priests and to the prophets, This man is not worthy to die; for he hath spoken to us in the name of Jehovah our God.
16 Waato din gaa no mayraykoyey da jama kulu salaŋ alfagey da annabey se ka ne: «Boro wo, i mana hima ka buuyaŋ ciiti dumbu a boŋ, zama Rabbi iri Irikoyo maa ra no a salaŋ iri se.»
17And there rose up certain of the elders of the land and spoke to all the congregation of the people, saying,
18Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spoke to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Zion shall be ploughed [as] a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.
A salaŋ Yahuda jama kulu se ka ne: Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci: I ga Sihiyona far sanda fari cine, Urusalima ga ciya kurmu guyaŋ, Windo tudo mo ga hima tuuri zugu ra tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ nangu cine.
19Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? Did he not fear Jehovah, and supplicate Jehovah, and Jehovah repented him of the evil that he had pronounced against them? And we should be doing a great evil against our souls.
20And there was also a man that prophesied in the name of Jehovah, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjath-jearim: and he prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah;
20 Woodin banda mo koyne, boro fo go no kaŋ na annabitaray te Rabbi maa ra. Bora din Uriya no, Semaya izo, Ciriyat-Yeyarim boro no. A na annabitaray te mo ka gaaba nda gallo wo da laabo wo, kaŋ nga nda Irimiya sanney wo kulu ga saba no, cap!
21and Jehoiakim the king, and all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, and the king sought to put him to death; but Urijah heard it, and he was afraid, and fled, and went into Egypt.
21 Waato kaŋ bonkoono Yehoyacim da nga wongaarey kulu, d'a mayraykoyey kulu maa a sanno, kala bonkoono ceeci nga m'a wi. Amma saaya kaŋ Uriya maa baaro, a humburu ka zuru ka koy Misira.
22And Jehoiakim the king sent men into Egypt, Elnathan the son of Achbor, and men with him, into Egypt;
Ngey neeya: El-Natan Akbor izo, da boro fooyaŋ kaŋ go a banda koy Misira.
23and they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him to Jehoiakim the king; and he slew him with the sword, and cast his dead body into the graves of the children of the people.
23 I fatta nda Uriya Misira ra ka kand'a Bonkoono Yehoyacim do. Nga mo n'a wi da takuba k'a buukwa furu talkey saarayey boŋ.»
24-- Nevertheless the hand of Ahikam the son of Shaphan was with Jeremiah, that they should not give him into the hand of the people to put him to death.
24 Amma Ahikam Safan izo kambe go Irimiya banda, i ma s'a daŋ jama kambe ra hal i m'a wi.
