1The word that Jehovah spoke concerning Babylon, concerning the land of the Chaldeans, through Jeremiah the prophet.
1 Sanno kaŋ Rabbi ci Babila nda Kaldancey laabo boŋ annabi Irimiya me ra neeya:
2Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and lift up a banner; publish, conceal not! Say, Babylon is taken, Bel is put to shame, Merodach is dismayed: her images are put to shame, her idols are dismayed.
2 Wa baaru ci ndunnya dumey ra, Wa fe, wa wongu liiliwal kayandi. Wa fe, wa s'a tugu! Wa ne: I ga Babila ŋwa, i ga Bel kaynandi, I ga Merodak bagu-bagu, I g'a jabuyaŋ himandey haawandi, I g'a toorey bagu-bagu.
3For out of the north there cometh up a nation against her, which shall make her land desolate, and none shall dwell therein: both man and beast are fled; they are gone.
3 Zama azawa kambe haray dumi fo no ga kand'a gaa wongu kaŋ g'a laabo ciya humburandiyaŋ hari, boro kulu si goro a ra mo. Boro nda alman kulu ga zuru k'a naŋ.
4In those days, and at that time, saith Jehovah, the children of Israel shall come, they and the children of Judah together, going and weeping as they go, and shall seek Jehovah their God.
4 Yaa no Rabbi ci: Waati kaŋ jirbi woodin yaŋ ga kaa, Da alwaati woodin to, Israyla izey da Yahuda izey ga kaa care banda, Ka konda ngey hẽeno ka Rabbi ngey Irikoyo ceeci.
5They shall inquire concerning Zion, with their faces thitherward, [saying,] Come, and let us join ourselves to Jehovah, in an everlasting covenant that shall not be forgotten.
5 I ga Sihiyona fondo hã, i moydumey ga ye a do haray. I ma ne: «Wa kaa, iri m'iri boŋ margu nda Rabbi, Sappa kaŋ ga duumi ra kaŋ i si diny'a gaa.»
6My people are lost sheep; their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they turned them away on the mountains: they went from mountain to hill, they forgot their resting-place.
6 Ay borey ciya feeji darante yaŋ. I hawjiyey n'i darandi fonda gaa, K'i taŋ tondi kuukey ra. Tondi kuuku woone ka koy yongo tudo gaa, I ga koy-da-ye te, i dinya ngey fulanzamyaŋ do.
7All that found them devoured them, and their adversaries said, We are not guilty, because they have sinned against Jehovah, the habitation of righteousness, even Jehovah, the hope of their fathers.
7 Borey kaŋ n'i gar kulu n'i ŋwa ka ban. I ibarey ne: «Iri sinda taali, zama ngey wo na zunubi te Rabbi se no, Nga kaŋ ti adilitaray nangora d'i kaayey beeja, Rabbi nooya.»
8Flee out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he-goats before the flock.
8 Wa zuru ka fun Babila bindo ra, Wa fun Kaldancey laabo ra, Wa ciya danga hincin jindi yaŋ ngey kuro jine.
9For behold, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon, an assemblage of great nations from the north country; and they shall set themselves in array against her: from thence shall she be taken. Their arrows shall be as those of a mighty expert man: none shall return empty.
9 Zama guna, ay ga ndunnya dumi beerey jama tunandi azawa kambe laabo ra kaŋ ga kande wongu Babila gaa. I ga wongu marga kayandi a se mo hal i m'a ŋwa. I hangawey ga hima sanda wongaari kaŋ ga goni hayyaŋ wane, Afo kulu si ye ka kaa kambe koonu.
10And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all the spoilers thereof shall be satiated, saith Jehovah.
10 Kaldiya mo ga ciya wongu arzaka. Borey kaŋ n'a ku wongo ra ga ne a wasa ngey se. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
11For ye rejoiced, for ye triumphed, ye plunderers of my heritage; for ye have been wanton as the heifer at grass, and neighed as steeds.
11 Ya araŋ kaŋ yaŋ n'ay wane jama ku wongu ra, Za kaŋ araŋ te bine kaani, araŋ farhã. Araŋ soobay ka fooru sanda haw zan kaŋ go kuray do, Araŋ bubuci sanda bari gu cine,
12Your mother hath been sorely put to shame; she that bore you hath been covered with reproach: behold, [she is become] hindmost of the nations, a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert.
12 Woodin sabbay se no araŋ nyaŋo ga haaw gumo. Waybora kaŋ n'araŋ hay yalu ga bare. Guna, a ga ciya ndunnya dumey kulu bananta, A ga ciya saaji da gangani da batama falulle.
13Because of the wrath of Jehovah, it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate; every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and shall hiss, because of all her plagues.
13 Rabbi dukuro sabbay se boro kulu si goro a ra, Amma a ga ciya kurmu. Boro kulu kaŋ ga bisa Babila gaa ga dambara hala manti moso, A ma cuusu a balaawey kulu sabbay se.
14Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about, all ye that bend the bow; shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against Jehovah.
14 Araŋ kulu kaŋ ga biraw candi, Wa wongu daaga sinji Babila gaa, W'a windi k'a daŋ game, W'a hay, wa si naŋ hangawey ma gogo, Zama a na zunubi te Rabbi se.
15Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand; her ramparts are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for this is the vengeance of Jehovah. Take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her.
15 W'a windi ka kuuwa a gaa. A na nga boŋ nooyandi, a muuley kaŋ, I n'a birni cinaro zeeri, Zama Rabbi banayaŋo nooya, Wa banayaŋo toonandi a boŋ mo. Sanda mate kaŋ nga bumbo te, Wa te nga mo se yaadin.
16Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest. For fear of the oppressing sword let them turn every one to his people, and let them flee every one to his own land.
16 Wa dum'ize dumakoy kulu pati Babila ra, Da boro kaŋ ga kooma goy te heemar waate. Boro kulu ga bare ka ye nga bumbo dumey do haray. I boro fo kulu ga zuru ka koy nga laabo ra, I ma du ka kankamandikoy takuba yana.
17Israel is a hunted sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria devoured him, and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones.
17 Israyla ya feeji say-sayante yaŋ no, Muusu beerey n'a gaaray. Sintina Assiriya bonkoono no k'a ŋwa, Kokor banda Babila bonkoono Nebukadnezzar mo n'a biriyey kaama-kaama.
18Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Behold, I will visit the king of Babylon and his land, like as I have visited the king of Assyria.
18 Woodin se binde, yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo ci: Guna, ay ga alhakku bana Babila bonkoono da nga laabo kulu gaa, Sanda mate kaŋ ay jin ka te Assiriya bonkoono se cine.
19And I will bring Israel again to his pasture, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and in Gilead.
19 Ay ga ye ka kande Israyla nga kuray nango do. A ga kuru Karmel da Basan boŋ, A fundo mo ga kungu Ifraymu da Jileyad tondey ra.
20In those days, and at that time, saith Jehovah, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon those whom I leave remaining.
20 Yaa no Rabbi ci: Jirbi woodin yaŋ ra, da alwaati woodin ra mo, I ga Israyla taali ceeci, amma a si bara. I ga Yahuda zunubey ceeci mo, Amma i si di ey, Zama jama cindo kaŋ ay naŋ din, ay g'i yaafa.
21Go up against the land of double rebellion, against it, and against the inhabitants of visitation; waste and utterly destroy after them, saith Jehovah, and do according to all that I have commanded thee.
21 Ziji ka wongu nda laabo kaŋ na murteyaŋ labu-care, Nga nd'a gorokoy, ka bana i se. M'i gaaray k'i wi k'i leemun parkatak! Yaadin no Rabbi ci. Ma te hay kulu kaŋ ay na ni lordi nd'a boŋ.
22A sound of battle is in the land, and great destruction.
22 I ga maa wongu kosongu da halaciyaŋ bambata laabo ra.
23How is the hammer of the whole earth cut asunder and broken! How is Babylon become an astonishment among the nations!
23 Ndunnya kulu ndarka neeya! Guna dumbuyaŋ da baguyaŋ kaŋ dumi i te a se! Babila ciya humburandiyaŋ hari ndunnya dumey game ra!
24I have laid a snare for thee, and thou, Babylon, art also taken, and thou wast not aware; thou art found, and also caught, for thou hast contended with Jehovah.
24 Ya Babila, ay na hirrimi te ni se kaŋ ni mana bay a gaa, a na ni di mo. I na ni gar ka ni di, Zama ni na canda-canda te da Rabbi.
25Jehovah hath opened his armoury, and hath brought forth the weapons of his indignation; for this is a work for the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, in the land of the Chaldeans.
25 Rabbi na nga wongu jinayey jisiro feeri, A na nga futa wongu jinayyaŋ fattandi. Zama Rabbi Kundeykoyo gonda muraadu kaŋ a ga te Kaldancey laabo ra.
26Come ye against her from every quarter, open her storehouses; pile her up like sheaves, and destroy her utterly: let nothing of her be left.
26 Wa fun nangu mooro ka furo a ra. W'a barmey fiti, w'a ciya laabu guyaŋ, W'a halaci parkatak. A wane hay fo kulu ma si cindi.
27Slay all her bullocks; let them go down to the slaughter: woe unto them! for their day is come, the time of their visitation.
27 W'a yeej'izey kulu no takuba se, i ma koy wiyaŋ do. Kaari ngey! Zama i zaaro kaa, i alhakko alwaato nooya.
28The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of Jehovah our God, the vengeance of his temple.
28 Wa maa borey kaŋ goono ga zuru ka Babila laabo yana yaŋ din jinde, Zama i ma Rabbi iri Irikoyo banando fe Sihiyona ra, A sududuyaŋ fuwo banando nooya.
29Call together the archers against Babylon, all those that bend the bow: encamp against her round about; let there be no escaping: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she hath done, do unto her: for she hath acted proudly against Jehovah, against the Holy One of Israel.
29 Wa tongo farmey ce i ma margu Babila wonguyaŋ se, I kulu kaŋ yaŋ ga biraw candi nooya. Wa zumbu a gaa k'a daŋ game, A ra boro kulu ma si fatta ka yana. Wa bana a se a goyo boŋ. Hay kulu kaŋ a te, wa te a se, nga mo, Zama a na boŋbeeray cabe Rabbi Israyla wane Hananyankoyo se.
30Therefore shall her young men fall in her streets; and all her men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith Jehovah.
30 Woodin sabbay se no a arwasey ga halaci a kwaara fondey ra. A wongaarey kulu mo ga dangay han din hane. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
31Behold, I am against thee, proud one, saith the Lord Jehovah of hosts; for thy day is come, the time that I visit thee:
31 Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci: A go, ya nin boŋbeeraykoyo, ay ga gaaba nda nin, Zama ni zaaro kaa, Alwaato kaŋ ay ga ni alhakko bana nooya.
32and the proud one shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up; yea, I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all that are round about him.
32 Boŋbeeraykoyo din binde ga kati ka kaŋ. A sinda tunandiko. Ay ga danji daŋ a galley gaa kaŋ ga hay kulu kaŋ go a windanta ŋwa.
33Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: The children of Israel and the children of Judah were together oppressed; and all that took them captives held them fast: they refused to let them go.
33 Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci: I na Israyla da Yahuda izey kulu kankam care banda. Borey kaŋ n'i di mo goono g'i gaay da gaabi, I wangu k'i taŋ.
34Their Redeemer is strong; Jehovah of hosts is his name: he will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the land, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
34 Amma i Fansakwa gonda gaabi, Rabbi Kundeykoyo no ga ti a maa. A ga faasa i se da himma, Zama a ma fulanzamay no laabo se, A ma Babila gorokoy mo jijirandi.
35The sword is upon the Chaldeans, saith Jehovah, and upon the inhabitants of Babylon, and upon her princes, and upon her wise men;
35 Takuba kaa Kaldancey gaa, da Babila ra gorokoy, D'a mayraykoyey d'a laakalkooney mo gaa. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
36the sword is upon the liars, and they shall become fools; the sword is upon her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed;
36 Takuba goono ga tangarikomey ceeci, I ga ciya saamoyaŋ mo. Takuba goono g'a wane gaabikooni beerey ceeci, K'i sukurutandi mo.
37the sword is upon their horses, and upon their chariots, and upon all the mingled people that are in the midst of her, and they shall become as women; the sword is upon her treasures, and they shall be robbed:
37 A bariyey, d'a torkey, Da yawey kulu dumi-dumey kaŋ yaŋ go a bindo ra, Takuba goono g'i ceeci. I ga ciya sanda wayboroyaŋ mo. Takuba goono g'a arzaka ceeci, a g'a kom mo.
38a drought is upon her waters, and they shall be dried up; for it is a land of graven images, and they are mad after frightful idols.
38 Kwaari g'a isa haro di, a ga sundu mo, Zama laabo din ya tooru laabu no. I ga fooma mo da ngey toorey.
39Therefore wild beasts of the desert with jackals shall dwell there, and ostriches shall dwell therein; and it shall be no more inhabited for ever, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation.
39 Woodin se no ganji hamey da zoŋey no ga goro noodin. Taatagayyaŋ mo ga ngey goray te noodin, A ra gorokoy si cindi koyne hal abada. Zamana ka koy zamana boro kulu si goro a ra.
40As when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, and their neighbour cities, saith Jehovah, no one shall dwell there, neither shall a son of man sojourn therein.
40 A ga ciya sanda alwaato kaŋ Irikoy na Saduma nda Gomorata nd'i gorokasiney zeeri, Yaadin cine no boro si no kaŋ ga goro Babila ra. Adam-ize kulu si no kaŋ ga te jirbiyaŋ a ra mo. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
41Behold, a people cometh from the north, and a great nation. And many kings shall arise from the uttermost parts of the earth.
41 Guna dumi fo neeya ga fun azawa kambe kaŋ kunda bambata no. Bonkooni boobo ga tun ka fun ndunnya nangu moorey do.
42They lay hold of bow and spear; they are cruel, and will not shew mercy; their voice roareth like the sea, and they ride upon horses -- set in array like a man for the battle, against thee, O daughter of Babylon.
42 I gonda biraw da yaaji ga gaay, Bine-bi-koy yaŋ no, i si bakar. I jindey ga yooje beeri te sanda teeku cine, Bari-kariyaŋ mo no. I boro fo kulu go wongu daaga me gaa soolante. Ya Babila ize wayo, i go kaa ni gaa no.
43The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands wax feeble; trouble hath taken hold of him, pangs as of a woman in travail.
43 Babila bonkoono maa i baaru, a kambey londey bu mo. Doori gurzugay da zaŋay n'a di, Sanda wayboro kaŋ ga ba ka hay.
44Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of the Jordan against the strong habitation; for I will make him suddenly run away from it; and who is a chosen [man] whom I may appoint over her? For who is like me? and who will assign me a time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?
44 Guna, dumo din ga tun sanda mate kaŋ muusu beeri ga fun Urdun* tuuri zugey ra, A ga wongu nda gaabikoono nangora, Amma ay g'a gartandi a ma zuru k'a naŋ, porot folloŋ! Man no suubananta kaŋ ay ga kayandi a boŋ? Zama man boro kaŋ in d'a ga saba, May mo no ga han kosu ay se? Wala man gaa hawjiyo kaŋ ga hin ka kay ay jine?
45Therefore hear the counsel of Jehovah, which he hath taken against Babylon, and his purposes which he hath purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: The little ones of the flock shall certainly draw them away; he shall certainly make their habitation desolate for them.
45 Kala binde, araŋ ma maa Rabbi saawara kaŋ a kunsum Babila boŋ, Da miila kaŋ a anniya Kaldancey laabo boŋ, ngey neeya: Daahir i ga kurey ra alman ize kayney kurru ka kond'ey. Daahir mo a g'i nangora ciya kurmu i sabbay se.
46At the sound of the taking of Babylon the earth hath quaked, and the cry is heard among the nations.
46 D'a maa Babila ŋwaayaŋo yooja, laabo ga zinji. I ga maa kaatiyaŋ beeri mo ndunnya dumey ra.
