1And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee, for he would not walk in Judaea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
1 Woodin banda Yesu goono ga windi Galili laabo ra, zama a si ba nga ma windi Yahudiya laabo ra, zama Yahudancey goono ga ceeci ngey m'a wi.
2Now the tabernacles, the feast of the Jews, was near.
2 Yahudancey batu* kaŋ ti Tandey Bato maan.
3His brethren therefore said to him, Remove hence and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see thy works which thou doest;
3 Yesu nya izey mo ci a se ka ne: «Tun neewo ka koy Yahudiya ra zama ni talibey ma di alaamey kaŋ ni goono ga te.
4for no one does anything in secret and himself seeks to be [known] in public. If thou doest these things, manifest thyself to the world:
4 Zama boro kulu si no kaŋ ga hay fo te tuguyaŋ ra kaŋ nga bumbo mo goono ga ceeci i m'a bay taray kwaaray. Za kaŋ ni goono ga hayey din te, kala ma ni boŋ bangandi ndunnya se.»
5for neither did his brethren believe on him.
5 Zama baa a nya izey man'a cimandi.
6Jesus therefore says to them, My time is not yet come, but your time is always ready.
6 Kala Yesu ne i se: «Ay alwaato mana to jina, amma araŋ alwaato go soolante han kulu.
7The world cannot hate you, but me it hates, because I bear witness concerning it that its works are evil.
7 Ndunnya si hin ka konna araŋ, amma ay wo, a ga konna ay, zama ay goono ga seeda ka ne a goyey ya ilaaloyaŋ no.
8Ye, go ye up to this feast. I go not up to this feast, for *my* time is not yet fulfilled.
8 Araŋ wo, wa koy bato do. Ay wo si koy bato wo do jina, zama ay alwaato mana to jina.»
9Having said these things to them he abode in Galilee.
9 Waato kaŋ a na sanney din ci i se, a goro Galili ra.
10But when his brethren had gone up, then he himself also went up to the feast, not openly, but as in secret.
10 Amma waato kaŋ a nya izey koy bato do, gaa no Yesu mo koy, manti taray kwaaray, amma tuguyaŋ ra.
11The Jews therefore sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he?
11 Yahudancey mo goono g'a ceeci bato do ka ne: «Man no bora din go?»
12And there was much murmuring concerning him among the crowds. Some said, He is [a] good [man]; others said, No; but he deceives the crowd.
12 I goono ga guunu-guunuyaŋ boobo te a boŋ jama ra. Boro fooyaŋ goono ga ne boro hanno no, afooyaŋ mo goono ga ne manti yaadin no, amma a goono ga jama halli no.
13However, no one spoke openly concerning him on account of [their] fear of the Jews.
13 Kulu nda yaadin, boro kulu mana Yesu sanno te taray kwaaray, Yahudancey humburkumay sabbay se.
14But when it was now the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.
14 Amma waato kaŋ bato jirbey to bindi, Yesu ziji ka koy Irikoy windo ra ka sintin ka dondonandi.
15The Jews therefore wondered, saying, How knows this [man] letters, having never learned?
15 Yahudancey mo go ga dambara ka ne: «Mate no boro wo te ka waani Tira Hanney kaŋ a mana baa dondon?»
16Jesus therefore answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but [that] of him that has sent me.
16 Yesu tu i se ka ne: «Ay dondonandiyaŋo manti ay wane no, amma ay dontonkwa wane no.
17If any one desire to practise his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is of God, or [that] I speak from myself.
17 Boro kulu kaŋ ga ba nga ma Irikoy miila te, bora ga bay hal ay dondonandiyaŋo ya Irikoy wane no wala ay bumbo wane no ay goono ga te.
18He that speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but he that seeks the glory of him that has sent him, he is true, and unrighteousness is not in him.
18 Boro kaŋ ga nga boŋ wane te, nga boŋ beeray no a goono ga ceeci, amma boro kaŋ goono ga nga dontonkwa beeray ceeci, bora din ya cimikoy no, adilitaray-jaŋay si a ra mo.
19Has not Moses given you the law, and no one of you practises the law? Why do ye seek to kill me?
19 Manti Musa no k'araŋ no asariya*? Kulu nda yaadin boro kulu si araŋ game ra kaŋ goono ga asariya gana. Ifo se no araŋ goono ga ceeci k'ay wi?»
20The crowd answered [and said], Thou hast a demon: who seeks to kill thee?
20 Jama tu ka ne: «Ni gonda follay*! May no goono ga ceeci nga ma ni wi?»
21Jesus answered and said to them, I have done one work, and ye all wonder.
21 Yesu tu i se ka ne: «Goy folloŋ n'ay te, araŋ kulu mo dambara goyo din sabbay se.
22Therefore Moses gave you circumcision (not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers), and ye circumcise a man on sabbath.
22 Musa n'araŋ no dambanguyaŋ* (baa kaŋ manti Musa do no a fun, amma za doŋ kaayey wane no). Araŋ ga boro dambangu mo asibti zaari.
23If a man receives circumcision on sabbath, that the law of Moses may not be violated, are ye angry with me because I have made a man entirely sound on sabbath?
23 D'i ga boro dambangu asibti zaari zama i ma si Musa asariya daaru, ifo se no araŋ konnandi ay gaa zama ay na boro summaare no baani asibti zaari?
24Judge not according to sight, but judge righteous judgment.
24 Araŋ ma si ciiti tammahãyaŋ boŋ, amma araŋ ma adilitaray ciiti te.»
25Some therefore of those of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?
25 Urusalima boro fooyaŋ goono ga ne: «Manti boro wo no i goono ga ceeci ngey ma wi?
26and behold, he speaks openly, and they say nothing to him. Have the rulers then indeed recognised that this is the Christ?
26 Guna mo, a goono ga salaŋ i se taray kwaaray, amma i si ga ne a se hay kulu. Wala jine borey ga bay kaŋ daahir nga no ga ti Almasihu?
27But [as to] this [man] we know whence he is. Now [as to] the Christ, when he comes, no one knows whence he is.
27 Amma iri ga bay naŋ kaŋ boro no, amma waati kaŋ Almasihu ga kaa, boro kulu si bay naŋ kaŋ boro no.»
28Jesus therefore cried out in the temple, teaching and saying, Ye both know me and ye know whence I am; and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye do not know.
29I know him, because I am from him, and *he* has sent me.
29 Ay g'a bay, zama a do no ay fun, nga no k'ay donton mo.»
30They sought therefore to take him; and no one laid his hand upon him, because his hour had not yet come.
30 Woodin sabbay se borey goono ga ceeci ngey m'a di, amma boro kulu mana nga kambe dake a gaa, zama a alwaato mana to jina.
31But many of the crowd believed on him, and said, Will the Christ, when he comes, do more signs than those which this [man] has done?
31 Amma jama game ra boro boobo n'a cimandi ka ne: «Waati kaŋ Almasihu ga kaa, alaamey kaŋ a ga te ga bisa woone yaŋ kaŋ boro wo te no?»
32The Pharisees heard the crowd murmuring these things concerning him, and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers that they might take him.
32 Farisi fonda borey maa kaŋ jama goono ga hayey din guunu-guunu Yesu boŋ. Kala alfaga* beerey da Farisi fonda borey na doogariyaŋ donton i m'a di.
33Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while I am with you, and I go to him that has sent me.
33 Yesu mo ne: «A cindi kayna ay go araŋ do jina, ay ga ye ka koy mo ay dontonkwa do.
34Ye shall seek me and shall not find [me], and where I am ye cannot come.
34 Araŋ g'ay ceeci, araŋ si di ay mo. Nango kaŋ ay go mo, araŋ si hin ka kaa.»
35The Jews therefore said to one another, Where is he about to go that we shall not find him? Is he about to go to the dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks?
35 Yahudancey salaŋ ngey game ra ka ne: «Man gaa no boro wo ga ba ka koy kaŋ iri si di a? Wala a ga ba ka koy borey do kaŋ yaŋ say-say dumi cindey game ra ka dumi cindey dondonandi no?
36What word is this which he said, Ye shall seek me and shall not find [me]; and where I am ye cannot come?
36 Sanni woofo dumi no a ci wo, kaŋ a ne: ‹Araŋ g'ay ceeci, araŋ si di ay mo,› da mo: ‹Nango kaŋ ay go mo, araŋ si hin ka kaa›?»
37In the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, If any one thirst, let him come to me and drink.
37 Zaari bananta kaŋ ti bato zaari beero ra, Yesu kay ka nga jinda sambu ka ne: «Boro kulu kaŋ maa jaw ma kaa ay do ka haŋ!
38He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
38 Boro kaŋ g'ay cimandi, mate kaŋ Tira Hanney ga ci, bora din ra no hari fundikooni isayaŋ ga zuru ka fun.»
39But this he said concerning the Spirit, which they that believed on him were about to receive; for [the] Spirit was not yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.
39 Amma Almasihu na woone ci Biya _Hanno|_ boŋ kaŋ borey kaŋ yaŋ g'a cimandi ga du, zama Irikoy mana Biya Hanno* no jina, zama a mana Yesu beerandi jina.
40[Some] out of the crowd therefore, having heard this word, said, This is truly the prophet.
40 Gaa no, jama ra boro fooyaŋ, waato kaŋ i maa sanney din, i ne: «Haciika, boro wo annabo din no.»
41Others said, This is the Christ. Others said, Does then the Christ come out of Galilee?
41 Afooyaŋ ne: «Boro wo Almasihu no.» Amma afooyaŋ ne: «Almasihu ga fun Galili no?
42Has not the scripture said that the Christ comes of the seed of David, and from the village of Bethlehem, where David was?
42 Manti Tira Hanney ne Almasihu ga fun Dawda haamey ra nda Baytlahami kwaara ra no, naŋ kaŋ Dawda bara?»
43There was a division therefore in the crowd on account of him.
43 Woodin gaa no jama laakaley fay ihinka Yesu sabbay se.
44But some of them desired to take him, but no one laid hands upon him.
44 I ra boro fooyaŋ ga ba ngey m'a di, amma boro kulu mana kambe dake a gaa.
45The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, Why have ye not brought him?
45 Gaa no, doogarey ye ka kaa alfaga beerey da Farisi fonda borey do. Ngey mo ne i se: «Ifo se no araŋ mana kand'a?»
46The officers answered, Never man spoke thus, as this man [speaks].
46 Doogarey tu i se ka ne: «Boro kulu mana bay ka salaŋ danga boro wo cine.»
47The Pharisees therefore answered them, Are ye also deceived?
47 Farisi fonda borey binde tu i se ka ne: «Araŋ mo, a n'araŋ fafagu no?
48Has any one of the rulers believed on him, or of the Pharisees?
48 Jine borey wala Farisi fonda borey ra boro fo go no kaŋ n'a cimandi no?
49But this crowd, which does not know the law, are accursed.
49 Amma jama wo kaŋ si Tawretu* bay ya laalante yaŋ no.»
50Nicodemus says to them (being one of themselves),
50 Nikodimu kaŋ kaa Yesu do doŋ ga ti i ra boro fo.
51Does our law judge a man before it have first heard from himself, and know what he does?
51 A ne i se: «Iri asariya ga boro ciiti ka zeeri no za i mana maa haŋ kaŋ bora ne ka bay haŋ kaŋ a te?»
52They answered and said to him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search and look, that no prophet arises out of Galilee.
52 I tu a se ka ne: «Ni mo Galili boro no? Guna Tira Hanney ra ka di kaŋ Galili ra annabi kulu si fun.»
53And every one went to his home.
53 Boro kulu mo koy nga kwaara,
