1And he entered and passed through Jericho.
1 Yesu furo Yeriko ka gana a ra.
2And behold, [there was] a man by name called Zacchaeus, and he was chief tax-gatherer, and he was rich.
2 Guna mo, alboro fo go no kaŋ se i ga ne Zaaku. Jangal tayaŋ koy fo no, arzakante mo no koyne.
3And he sought to see Jesus who he was: and he could not for the crowd, because he was little in stature.
3 A goono ga ceeci nga ma di Yesu wo, boro kaŋ no. Day a mana du fondo borey marga baayaŋ sabbay se, zama nga wo idunguriyo no.
4And running on before, he got up into a sycamore that he might see him, for he was going to pass that [way].
5And when he came up to the place, Jesus looked up and saw him, and said to him, Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for to-day I must remain in thy house.
5 Waato kaŋ Yesu to noodin, a guna beene ka ne a se: «Zaaku, ma waasu ka zumbu, zama hunkuna a ga tilas ay ma zumbu ni kwaara.»
6And he made haste and came down, and received him with joy.
6 A waasu ka zumbu. A na Yesu kubayni nda farhã.
7And all murmured when they saw [it], saying, He has turned in to lodge with a sinful man.
7 Waato kaŋ borey di woodin, i kulu jance ka ne: «A furo ka zumbu zunubikooni fo kwaara.»
8But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I return [him] fourfold.
8 Amma Zaaku kay ka ne Rabbi se: «Rabbi, guna, ay arzaka farso, ay g'a no talkey se. D'ay na hay fo kom boro kulu gaa mo, ay g'a yeti a se sorro taaci.»
9And Jesus said to him, To-day salvation is come to this house, inasmuch as he also is a son of Abraham;
10for the Son of man has come to seek and to save that which is lost.
10 Boro Izo kaa no zama nga ma haŋ kaŋ daray ceeci k'a faaba.»
11But as they were listening to these things, he added and spake a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem and they thought that the kingdom of God was about to be immediately manifested.
11 Waato kaŋ i goono ga maa hayey din, Yesu tonton ka misa fo ci i se, zama nga ga maan Urusalima, ngey mo go ga tammahã hala Irikoy koytara ga bangay sahãadin-sahãadin.
12He said therefore, A certain high-born man went to a distant country to receive for himself a kingdom and return.
12 Woodin sabbay se Yesu ne: «Bonkooni banda fo koy laabu fo ra kaŋ ga mooru, zama nga ma du koytaray ka ye ka kaa.
13And having called his own ten bondmen, he gave to them ten minas, and said to them, Trade while I am coming.
13 A na nga tam way ce, k'i no mina way. A ne i se: ‹Araŋ ma soobay ka daymi te hal ay ga ye ka kaa.›
14But his citizens hated him, and sent an embassy after him, saying, We will not that this [man] should reign over us.
14 Amma a laabu borey wang'a. A dirawo banda i donton a gaa ka ne: ‹Iri si yadda hala bora din m'iri may.›
15And it came to pass on his arrival back again, having received the kingdom, that he desired these bondmen to whom he gave the money to be called to him, in order that he might know what every one had gained by trading.
15 A go no mo, waato kaŋ a ye ka kaa, kaŋ a jin ka du koytara, kal a ne i ma tamey kaŋ se nga na nooro no din ce, zama nga ma du ka bay riiba kaŋ dumi no i te daymo ra.
16And the first came up, saying, [My] Lord, thy mina has produced ten minas.
16 Sintina kaa a jine ka ne: ‹Ay jine bora, ni mina du mina way.›
17And he said to him, Well [done], thou good bondman; because thou hast been faithful in that which is least, be thou in authority over ten cities.
17 Koyo ne a se: ‹A boori! Ni ya tam hanno no! Za kaŋ hari kayna ra ni na naanay cabe, ni ma may kwaara way boŋ.›
18And the second came, saying, [My] Lord, thy mina has made five minas.
18 Ihinkanta kaa a jine ka ne: ‹Ay jine bora, ni mina du mina gu.›
19And he said also to this one, And *thou*, be over five cities.
19 A ne nga mo se: ‹Ni ma may kwaara gu boŋ.›
20And another came, saying, [My] Lord, lo, [there is] thy mina, which I have kept laid up in a towel.
20 Afa mo kaa ka ne: ‹Ay jine bora, ni mina neeya, kaŋ ay jisi ni se diko ra.
21For I feared thee because thou art a harsh man: thou takest up what thou hast not laid down, and thou reapest what thou hast not sowed.
22He says to him, Out of thy mouth will I judge thee, wicked bondman: thou knewest that *I* am a harsh man, taking up what I have not laid down and reaping what I have not sowed.
Ay ga sambu hari kaŋ ay mana jisi, ay ga wi mo hari kaŋ ay mana duma.
23And why didst thou not give my money to [the] bank; and *I* should have received it, at my coming, with interest?
Ay mo, waati kaŋ ay kaa, ay g'a ceeci, nga nda nga riiba.›
24And he said to those that stood by, Take from him the mina and give [it] to him who has the ten minas.
24 A ne ngey kaŋ yaŋ ga kay noodin se: ‹Wa mina kaŋ go a se din ta k'a no bora kaŋ gonda iway se.›
25And they said to him, Lord, he has ten minas.
25 I ne a se: ‹Iri jine bora, a gonda iway.›
26For I say unto you, that to every one that has shall be given; but from him that has not, that even which he has shall be taken from him.
26 Ay ga ne araŋ se: ‹Boro kulu kaŋ gonda, nga se no i ga no. Amma boro kaŋ sinda, i ga ta a gaa baa haŋ kaŋ a gonda.
27Moreover those mine enemies, who would not [have] me to reign over them, bring them here and slay [them] before me.
28And having said these things, he went on before, going up to Jerusalem.
28 Waato kaŋ Yesu na woodin ci, a koy jina ka ziji ka to Urusalima.
29And it came to pass as he drew near to Bethphage and Bethany at the mountain called [the mount] of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
29 A go no mo, waato kaŋ a maan Baytfaji nda Baytaniya kawyey, tondo do kaŋ se i ga ne Zeytun*, kala Yesu na nga talibi hinka donton.
30saying, Go into the village over against [you], in which ye will find, on entering it, a colt tied up, on which no [child] of man ever sat at any time: loose it and lead it [here].
30 A ne: «Wa koy kwaara kaŋ go araŋ jine din ra. D'araŋ furo, araŋ ga di farkay binj'ize fo goono ga haw, kaŋ boro kulu man'a kaaru jina. Araŋ m'a feeri ka kand'a.
31And if any one ask you, Why do ye loose [it]? thus shall ye say to him, Because the Lord has need of it.
31 Da boro fo n'araŋ hã ka ne: ‹Ifo se no araŋ g'a feeri?› kal araŋ ma ne: ‹Zama Rabbi no gond'a muraadu.› »
32And they that were sent, having gone their way, found as he had said to them.
32 Ngey mo kaŋ a donton, waato kaŋ i koy, i gar mate kaŋ a ci ngey se din.
33And as they were loosing the colt, its masters said to them, Why loose ye the colt?
33 I goono ga farkay binj'izo feeri, kal a koyey ne i se: «Ifo se no araŋ ga farkay binj'izo feeri?»
34And they said, Because the Lord has need of it.
34 I ne: «Rabbi no gond'a muraadu.»
35And they led it to Jesus; and having cast their own garments on the colt, they put Jesus on [it].
35 I kand'a Yesu do ka ngey taafey daaru farkay binj'izo boŋ ka Yesu kaarandi a boŋ.
36And as he went, they strewed their clothes in the way.
36 Kaŋ a go fonda ra ga koy, i na ngey bankaaray daaru fonda ra.
37And as he drew near, already at the descent of the mount of Olives, all the multitude of the disciples began, rejoicing, to praise God with a loud voice for all the works of power which they had seen,
37 A goono ga maan kwaara ka to Zeytun tondo gangara gaa, kala talibey marga kulu sintin ka farhã ka Irikoy kuku nda jinde beeri, dabari goyey kulu kaŋ yaŋ i di sabbay se.
38saying, Blessed the King that comes in the name of [the] Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.
38 I goono ga ne: «Albarkante no Bonkoono kaŋ goono ga kaa Rabbi maa ra!» «Laakal kanay go beena ra, darza mo beene hala beene!»
39And some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples.
39 Farisi fonda boro fooyaŋ mo kaŋ go borey marga game ra ne Yesu se: «Alfa, ma deeni ni talibey gaa.»
40And he answering said to them, I say unto you, If these shall be silent, the stones will cry out.
41And as he drew near, seeing the city, he wept over it,
41 Kaŋ Yesu kaa ka maan hal a di kwaara, kal a hẽ a boŋ
42saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, even at least in this thy day, the things that are for thy peace: but now they are hid from thine eyes;
Amma sohõ i n'i tugu ni se.
43for days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall make a palisaded mound about thee, and shall close thee around, and keep thee in on every side,
44and shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children in thee; and shall not leave in thee a stone upon a stone: because thou knewest not the season of thy visitation.
44 I ga ni zeeri hala ganda, nin da ni izey ni bindo ra. Ni do i si naŋ baa tondi fo ma cindi tondi fo boŋ, zama ni mana ni kunfa alwaato bay.»
45And entering into the temple, he began to cast out those that sold and bought in it,
45 A furo Irikoy windo ra ka sintin ka neerakoy kaa taray.
46saying to them, It is written, My house is a house of prayer, but *ye* have made it a den of robbers.
46 A goono ga ne i se: «I hantum ka ne: ‹Ay windo ga ciya adduwa windi.› amma araŋ n'a bare ka ciya ‹zayyaŋ guusu›.»
47And he was teaching day by day in the temple: and the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him,
47 Han kulu Yesu goono ga borey dondonandi Irikoy windo ra.
48and did not find what they could do, for all the people hung on him to hear.
48 Amma i mana du haŋ kaŋ i ga te, zama borey kulu go ga lamb'a gaa ka hangan a se.
