1In those days, there being again a great crowd, and they having nothing that they could eat, having called his disciples to [him], he says to them,
1 Jirbey din ra, waato kaŋ borey marga bambata ye ka margu a do koyne, i sinda hay kulu kaŋ i ga ŋwa. Kala Yesu na nga talibey ce nga do ka ne i se:
2I have compassion on the crowd, because they have stayed with me already three days and they have not anything they can eat,
2 «Ay goono ga bakar jama wo se, zama a to jirbi hinza sohõ kaŋ i go ay banda, i sinda haŋ kaŋ i ga ŋwa mo.»
3and if I should dismiss them to their home fasting, they will faint on the way; for some of them are come from far.
3 A ne mo: «D'ay n'i sallama i ma koy fu da haray, i ga gaze fonda boŋ. I ra afooyaŋ mo fun nangu mooro.»
4And his disciples answered him, Whence shall one be able to satisfy these with bread here in a desert place?
4 A talibey tu ka ne a se: «Day man no boro ga du buuru ganji wo ra kaŋ ga borey wo kungandi?»
5And he asked them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven.
5 A n'i hã ka ne: «Buuru kunkuni marge no araŋ do?» I ne: «Iyye no.»
6And he commanded the crowd to sit down on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, he gave thanks, and broke [them] and gave [them] to his disciples, that they might set [them] before [them]; and they set [them] before the crowd.
6 A na jama lordi ka ne i ma goro ganda laabo ra. Waato gaa a na buuru kunkuni iyya din sambu ka saabu. Gaa no a n'i ceeri-ceeri ka no nga talibey se i ma zaban borey se. Ngey mo n'i zaban i se.
7And they had a few small fishes, and having blessed them, he desired these also to be set before [them].
7 I gonda hamisa kayna fooyaŋ mo. Waato kaŋ Yesu n'i albarkandi, a lordi ka ne i ma woone yaŋ mo zaban borey se.
8And they ate and were satisfied. And they took up of fragments that remained seven baskets.
8 Borey ŋwa hal i kungu. I na cilla beeri iyye toonandi nda patarmey kaŋ cindi mo.
9And they [that had eaten] were about four thousand; and he sent them away.
9 Borey ga to boro zambar taaci cine. Gaa no Yesu n'i sallama.
10And immediately going on board ship with his disciples, he came into the parts of Dalmanutha.
10 Sahãadin-sahãadin a furo hi ra, nga nda nga talibey, ka kaa Dalmanuta laabu.
11And the Pharisees went out and began to dispute against him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, tempting him.
11 Farisi* fonda boro fooyaŋ kaa, i sintin ka kakaw da Yesu. I goono ga beene alaama fo ceeci a do, k'a si.
12And groaning in his spirit, he says, Why does this generation seek a sign? Verily I say unto you, A sign shall in no wise be given to this generation.
12 A duray nga biya ra ka ne: «Ifo se no zamana wo izey goono ga alaama ceeci? Haciika ay ga ne araŋ se, i si alaama no zamana wo borey se.»
13And he left them, and going again on board ship, went away to the other side.
13 A fay d'ey ka ye ka furo hiyo ra koyne ka daŋandi ka koy ya-haray.
14And they forgot to take bread, and save one loaf, they had not [any] with them in the ship.
14 Talibey dinya ka kande buuru, i sinda haŋ kaŋ ga bisa kunkuni folloŋ ngey banda hiyo ra.
15And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and [of] the leaven of Herod.
15 Yesu n'i gongormandi ka ne: «Araŋ ma te laakal ka haggoy nda Farisi fonda borey dalbuwo*, da Hirodus* borey dalbuwo.»
16And they reasoned with one another, [saying], It is because we have no bread.
16 Talibey soobay ka care miisi ka ne: «Zama iri sinda buuru no.»
17And Jesus knowing [it], says to them, Why reason ye because ye have no bread? Do ye not yet perceive nor understand? Have ye your heart [yet] hardened?
17 Yesu mo kaŋ a faham da woodin, a ne i se: «Ifo se no araŋ goono ga care miisi zama araŋ sinda buuru? Day, hala hõ araŋ mana faham jina, wala? Araŋ gonda bine sanday no hala hõ?
18Having eyes, see ye not? and having ears, hear ye not? and do ye not remember?
18 Araŋ gonda mo, araŋ si di no? Araŋ gonda hanga, araŋ si maa no? Wala araŋ si fongu no?
19When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many hand-baskets full of fragments took ye up? They say to him, Twelve.
19 Waato kaŋ ay na buuru kunkuni gu ceeri boro zambar guwa se, cilla kayna marge no araŋ sambu kaŋ to da patarmi?» I ne a se: «Iway cindi hinka no.»
20And when the seven for the four thousand, the filling of how many baskets of fragments took ye up? And they said, Seven.
20 Yesu ne: «Buuru kunkuni iyya din boro zambar taaci game ra binde, cilla beeri kaŋ to da patarmi marge no araŋ sambu ŋwaaro banda?» I ne a se: «Iyye no.»
21And he said to them, How do ye not yet understand?
21 A ne i se: «Hala sohõ araŋ mana faham no, wala?»
22And he comes to Bethsaida; and they bring him a blind man, and beseech him that he might touch him.
22 I kaa Baytsayda, naŋ kaŋ i kande a se danaw fo k'a ŋwaaray a m'a ham.
23And taking hold of the hand of the blind man he led him forth out of the village, and having spit upon his eyes, he laid his hands upon him, and asked him if he beheld anything.
23 A na danawo kamba di ka kond'a kwaara banda. Waato kaŋ a tufa a moy gaa ka nga kambey dake a boŋ, a n'a hã ka ne: «Ni go ga di hay fo?»
24And having looked up, he said, I behold men, for I see [them], as trees, walking.
24 Bora guna beene ka ne: «Ay go ga di borey, amma ay ga di ey sanda tuuri-nyayaŋ cine, i go ga windi.»
25Then he laid his hands again upon his eyes, and he saw distinctly, and was restored and saw all things clearly.
25 Yesu ye ka nga kambey dake a moy gaa; nga mo guna, a di ka boori. A du baani ka di hay kulu far-da-far.
26And he sent him to his house, saying, Neither enter into the village, nor tell [it] to any one in the village.
26 Yesu n'a sallama ka ne a ma koy fu. A ne: «Day ma si koy kwaara ra bo.»
27And Jesus went forth and his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea-Philippi. And by the way he asked his disciples, saying unto them, Who do men say that I am?
27 Yesu mo dira noodin, nga nda nga talibey, ka koy Kaysariya Filibi kawyey ra. Waato kaŋ i go fonda ra, a na nga talibey hã ka ne i se: «Borey goono ga ne ay ya may no?»
28And they answered him, saying, John the baptist; and others, Elias; but others, One of the prophets.
28 I ne a se: «Yohanna baptisma* teekwa no. Boro fooyaŋ mo ga ne Iliya* no, amma afooyaŋ ga ne doŋ annabey ra afo no.»
29And he asked them, But *ye*, who do ye say that I am? And Peter answering says to him, *Thou* art the Christ.
29 A n'i hã ka ne: «Araŋ binde, araŋ ga ne ay ya may no?» Bitros tu ka ne a se: «Ni ya Almasihu no.»
30And he charged them straitly, in order that they should tell no man about him.
30 A n'i gongormandi i ma si nga baaru ci boro kulu se.
31And he began to teach them that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and of the chief priests and of the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise [again].
31 A sintin k'i dondonandi kaŋ tilas no kala nga, Boro Izo ma taabi boobo haŋ, arkusey* da alfaga beerey da asariya dondonandikoy ma wang'a, k'a wi. Jirbi hinzanta banda mo a ma tun koyne.
32And he spoke the thing openly. And Peter, taking him to [him], began to rebuke him.
32 A na hayey din ci i se taray kwaaray. Bitros mo n'a kaa waani ka sintin ka deen'a gaa.
33But he, turning round and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying, Get away behind me, Satan, for thy mind is not on the things that are of God, but on the things that are of men.
33 Amma Yesu bare ka nga talibey guna. A deeni Bitros gaa ka ne: «Ma ye ka fun ay banda, nin Saytan* wo, zama ni miiley manti Irikoy wane yaŋ no, amma borey wane yaŋ no.»
34And having called the crowd with his disciples, he said to them, Whoever desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me.
34 A na borey marga da nga talibey mo ce, ka ne i se: «Da boro fo ga baa nga ma kaa ay banda, kal a ma nga boŋ ze jina, ka nga kanjiyaŋ* bundo sambu k'ay gana.
35For whosoever shall desire to save his life shall lose it, but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's shall save it.
35 Zama boro kulu kaŋ ga miila nga ma nga fundo faaba, a fundo ga daray. Amma boro kulu kaŋ ga nga fundo nooyandi in da Baaru Hanna sabbay se, a g'a faaba.
36For what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and suffer the loss of his soul?
36 Zama riiba woofo ka bara boro se, baa day a du ndunnya kulu, amma a fundo ma daray a se?
37for what should a man give in exchange for his soul?
37 Koyne, ifo no boro ga no kaŋ ga hin ka nga fundo fansa?
38For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him shall the Son of man also be ashamed when he shall come in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
38 Zama boro kulu kaŋ haawi g'a di in d'ay sanno sabbay se, zamana kaŋ gonda zina nda zunubi wo ra, Boro Izo mo, haawi g'a di bora din sabbay se, alwaato kaŋ a ga kaa nga Baabo darza ra, nga nda malayka* hanney nga banda.»
