Psalms

139

1{To the chief Musician. A Psalm of David.} Jehovah, thou hast searched me, and known [me].
1 Doonkoy jine bora se. Dawda baytu fo no. Ya Rabbi, ni n'ay fintal, ni n'ay bay mo.
2*Thou* knowest my down-sitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off;
3Thou searchest out my path and my lying down, and art acquainted with all my ways;
4For there is not yet a word on my tongue, [but] lo, O Jehovah, thou knowest it altogether.
4 Zama za sanni kulu si no ay deena boŋ, Nin, ya Rabbi, ni n'a kulu bay.
5Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thy hand upon me.
5 Ni n'ay kali jina nda banda, Ni na ni kambe dake ay boŋ.
6O knowledge too wonderful for me! it is high, I cannot [attain] unto it.
6 Bayray woodin, a dambara bisa ay gaabi. A ga ku, ay si hin ka to a gaa.
7Whither shall I go from thy Spirit? and whither flee from thy presence?
7 Man no ay ga koy ka fay da ni Biya, Wala man no ay ga zuru ni se ka koy?
8If I ascend up into the heavens thou art there; or if I make my bed in Sheol, behold, thou [art there];
9[If] I take the wings of the dawn [and] dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11And if I say, Surely darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night;
11 D'ay ne: «Daahir kubay no g'ay daabu, Hananyaŋo kaŋ go ay windanta mo ga ciya cin.»
12Even darkness hideth not from thee, and the night shineth as the day: the darkness is as the light.
12 Kubay bumbo manti kubay no ni se, Cin mo ga kaari sanda zaari cine. Kubay da kaari, i kulu afolloŋ no ni se.
13For thou hast possessed my reins; thou didst cover me in my mother's womb.
13 Zama ay taka kulu, nin no k'a te. Ni n'ay dabu-dabu za ay nyaŋo gunde ra.
14I will praise thee, for I am fearfully, wonderfully made. Marvellous are thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.
14 Ay ga saabu ni se, Zama ay teeyaŋo ya humburkumay hari no, Haŋ kaŋ ga dambarandi mo no. Ni goyey ga dambarandi, Woodin mo ay bina n'a bay gumo.
15My bones were not hidden from thee when I was made in secret, curiously wrought in the lower parts of the earth.
15 Ay biriyey manti tugante no ni se, Waato kaŋ i n'ay te tuguyaŋ ra, Waato kaŋ i n'ay cina nda gonitaray ndunnya guusuyaŋey ra.
16Thine eyes did see my unformed substance, and in thy book all [my members] were written; [during many] days were they fashioned, when [as yet] there was none of them.
16 Ni moy go ga di ay za ay go kuri gude. Jirbey kaŋ ni waadu ay se mo, ni n'i kabu, I n'i kulu hantum ni tira ra, Za waati kaŋ baa afo mana te jina.
17But how precious are thy thoughts unto me, O ùGod! how great is the sum of them!
Man i kabuyaŋo baayaŋ misa!
18[If] I would count them, they are more in number than the sand. When I awake, I am still with thee.
18 D'ay g'i kabu, i baa da laabu gurey. Waati kaŋ ay mo hay, hala hõ day ay go ni banda.
19Oh that thou wouldest slay the wicked, O +God! And ye men of blood, depart from me.
19 Ya Irikoy, doŋ day ni ma boro laaley wi! Ya araŋ borey kaŋ goono ga kuri mun, Wa gana ka fun ay gaa.
20For they speak of thee wickedly, they take [thy name] in vain, thine enemies.
20 Zama i goono ga ni ciine te da laala, Ni ibarey mo goono ga ni maa ce yaamo.
21Do not I hate them, O Jehovah, that hate thee? and do not I loathe them that rise up against thee?
22I hate them with perfect hatred; I account them mine enemies.
22 Ay ga konn'ey da konnari toonante, I ciya ay ibareyaŋ.
23Search me, O ùGod, and know my heart; prove me, and know my thoughts;
23 Ya Irikoy, ni m'ay fintal k'ay bina bay. M'ay neesi, k'ay fonguyaŋey bay.
24And see if there be any grievous way in me; and lead me in the way everlasting.
24 Ma guna ka di hala laala fondo fo go no ay do, Ma jine candi ay se mo hal abada fonda ra.
