1But do *thou* speak the things that become sound teaching;
1 Amma ni wo, kala ni ma haŋ kaŋ ga saba nda dondonandiyaŋ cimi-cimo ci.
2that the elder men be sober, grave, discreet, sound in faith, in love, in patience;
3that the elder women in like manner be in deportment as becoming those who have to say to sacred things, not slanderers, not enslaved to much wine, teachers of what is right;
4that they may admonish the young women to be attached to [their] husbands, to be attached to [their] children,
5discreet, chaste, diligent in home work, good, subject to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be evil spoken of.
6The younger men in like manner exhort to be discreet:
6 Yaadin mo no, ma ko-arey yaamar ka ne i ma ciya laakalkooniyaŋ.
7in all things affording thyself as a pattern of good works; in teaching uncorruptedness, gravity,
8a sound word, not to be condemned; that he who is opposed may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say about us:
8 Ma sanni hanno yaŋ te kaŋ yaŋ i si hin ka zeeri, hala borey kaŋ ga gaaba nda nin, haawi m'i di, zama i sinda hari laalo kulu kaŋ i ga ci iri boŋ.
9bondmen to be subject to their own masters, to make themselves acceptable in everything; not gainsaying;
9 Ma bannyey mo yaamar i ma ngey koyey gana zama i ma maa i kaani hay kulu ra. Bannyey ma si ngey koyey me bana.
10not robbing [their masters], but shewing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the teaching which [is] of our Saviour God in all things.
10 I ma si n'i zay mo, amma i ma ngey boŋ cabe naanaykoyyaŋ, hal i ma Irikoy iri Faabakwa boŋ dondonandiyaŋo boriyandi borey jine hay kulu ra.
11For the grace of God which carries with it salvation for all men has appeared,
11 Zama Irikoy gomno kaŋ ga kande faaba boro kulu do bangay.
12teaching us that, having denied impiety and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, and justly, and piously in the present course of things,
13awaiting the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ;
13 Gomno din g'iri dondonandi iri ma goro yaadin ka bangandiyaŋ darzakoyo batu kaŋ ga ti iri beeje albarkanta. Bangandiyaŋ darzakoyo din ga ti iri Irikoy Beeraykoyo kaŋ ga ti iri Faabakwa, Yesu Almasihu, wano.
14who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all lawlessness, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous for good works.
14 Nga no ka nga boŋ no _ka bu|_ iri se zama a m'iri fansa zunubi kulu gaa. Zama a m'iri ciya mo nga boŋ se jama hanante kaŋ ga ti nga bumbo wane, kaŋ gonda ihanno teeyaŋ anniya.
15These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise thee.
