¹Ask of Jehovah rain in the time of the latter rain; Jehovah will make lightnings, and he will give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

¹ Wa beene hari ŋwaaray Rabbi gaa kaydiya alwaati ra. Wa ŋwaaray Rabbi gaa, nga kaŋ ga maliyaŋ te. A ga ni no beene hari mo, Boro kulu ma du subu nga faro ra.

²For the teraphim have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams: they comfort in vain. Therefore they have gone away as a flock, they are in distress, because there is no shepherd.

² Zama toorey na sanni yaamo te, Gunakoy mo di tangari, I go ga tangari hindiriyaŋ dede. I kunfa kaŋ i goono ga te mo yaamo no. Woodin se no i ga daray sanda feejiyaŋ cine, I go taabi ra hawji jaŋay sabbay se.

³Mine anger is kindled against the shepherds, and I will punish the he-goats; for Jehovah of hosts visiteth his flock, the house of Judah, and maketh them as his majestic horse in the battle.

³ Ay futa mo di ka ton ay hawjiyey boŋ. Ay ga goojiyaŋ te hincin jindey se, Zama Rabbi Kundeykoyo na nga kuro kunfa, Kaŋ ga ti Yahuda windo. A g'i ciya sanda nga wongu bari hanna cine.

⁴From him shall come forth the corner-stone, from him the nail, from him the battle bow, from him every exactor together.

⁴ A gaa no fu bonjare ga fun. Lolo a do, wongu biraw a do, Mayraykoyey kulu mo a do no, I kulu margante.

⁵And they shall be as mighty men, treading down the mire of the streets in the battle; and they shall fight, for Jehovah is with them, and the riders on horses shall be put to shame.

⁶And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back again; for I will have mercy upon them; and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am Jehovah their God, and I will answer them.

⁷And [they of] Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their hearts shall rejoice as through wine; and their children shall see [it], and rejoice; their heart shall be joyful in Jehovah.

⁷ Ifraymu waney ga ciya sanda wongaariyaŋ. I biney ga farhã danga day duvan* sabbay se no. Oho, hal i izey ga di woodin ka farhã, I biney ga kaan mo Rabbi ra.

⁸I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall multiply as they used to multiply.

⁸ Ay ga falle i se k'i margu, Zama ay n'i fansa. I ga yulwa koyne sanda mate kaŋ cine i yulwa waato.

⁹And I will sow them among the peoples, and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children and return.

⁹ Koyne, baa kaŋ ay n'i duma dumi cindey game ra, Kulu nda yaadin laabey kaŋ ga mooru yaŋ ra i ga fongu ay gaa. I ga funa, ngey nda ngey izey, i ga ye ka kaa mo.

¹⁰And I will bring them again out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and [place] shall not be found for them.

¹⁰ Ay ga ye k'i fattandi Misira laabo ra koyne, Ay m'i margu i ma fun Assiriya ra. Ay ga kand'ey Jileyad da Liban laabey ra, Nango si wasa i se mo.

¹¹And he shall pass through the sea of affliction, and shall smite the billows in the sea, and all the depths of the Nile shall dry up; and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.

¹¹ A ga taabi teeko daŋandi, a ga teeko bondayey kar. Misira isa guusuyaŋey kulu ga sundu, I ga Assiriya boŋbeera zeeri, Misira koytaray sarjilla mo ga bisa.

¹²And I will strengthen them in Jehovah; and they shall walk in his name, saith Jehovah.
