1Dare any one of you, having a matter against another, prosecute his suit before the unjust, and not before the saints?
1ܡܡܪܚ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܟܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܗ ܕܝܢܐ ܥܡ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܕܢܕܘܢ ܩܕܡ ܥܘܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܩܕܡ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܀
2Do ye not then know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world is judged by you, are ye unworthy of [the] smallest judgments?
2ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܩܕܝܫܐ ܠܥܠܡܐ ܢܕܘܢܘܢ ܘܐܢ ܥܠܡܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܡܬܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܫܘܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܠܡܕܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܕܩܕܩܐ ܀
3Do ye not know that we shall judge angels? and not then matters of this life?
3ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܠܡܠܐܟܐ ܕܝܢܝܢܢ ܚܕ ܟܡܐ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܕܥܠܡܐ ܐܢܝܢ ܗܢܐ ܀
4If then ye have judgments as to things of this life, set those [to judge] who are little esteemed in the assembly.
4ܐܠܐ ܐܢ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܝܢܐ ܥܠ ܕܥܠܡܐ ܠܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܒܤܝܢ ܒܥܕܬܐ ܐܘܬܒܘ ܠܟܘܢ ܒܕܝܢܐ ܀
5I speak to you [to put you] to shame. Thus there is not a wise person among you, not even one, who shall be able to decide between his brethren!
5ܠܟܘܐܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪ ܐܢܐ ܠܟܘܢ ܗܟܢܐ ܠܝܬ ܒܟܘܢ ܐܦܠܐ ܚܕ ܚܟܝܡܐ ܕܢܫܟܚ ܢܫܘܐ ܒܝܬ ܐܚܐ ܠܐܚܘܗܝ ܀
6But brother prosecutes his suit with brother, and that before unbelievers.
6ܐܠܐ ܐܚܐ ܥܡ ܐܚܘܗܝ ܡܬܕܝܢ ܘܬܘܒ ܩܕܡ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܠܐ ܡܗܝܡܢܝܢ ܀
7Already indeed then it is altogether a fault in you that ye have suits between yourselves. Why do ye not rather suffer wrong? why are ye not rather defrauded?
7ܡܢ ܟܕܘ ܗܟܝܠ ܩܢܘܡܟܘܢ ܚܒܬܘܢ ܠܟܘܢ ܕܕܝܢܐ ܚܕ ܥܡ ܚܕ ܐܝܬ ܠܟܘܢ ܡܛܠ ܡܢܐ ܓܝܪ ܠܐ ܡܬܥܠܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܡܛܠ ܡܢܐ ܠܐ ܡܬܓܠܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܀
8But *ye* do wrong, and defraud, and this [your] brethren.
8ܐܠܐ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܥܠܒܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܘܓܠܙܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܐܦ ܠܐܚܝܟܘܢ ܀
9Do ye not know that unrighteous [persons] shall not inherit [the] kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who make women of themselves, nor who abuse themselves with men,
9ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܥܘܠܐ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܠܐ ܬܛܥܘܢ ܠܐ ܙܢܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܦܠܚܝ ܦܬܟܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܓܝܪܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܚܒܠܐ ܘܠܐ ܫܟܒܝ ܥܡ ܕܟܪܐ ܀
10nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor abusive persons, nor [the] rapacious, shall inherit [the] kingdom of God.
10ܘܠܐ ܥܠܘܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܓܢܒܐ ܘܠܐ ܪܘܝܐ ܘܠܐ ܡܨܥܪܢܐ ܘܠܐ ܚܛܘܦܐ ܗܠܝܢ ܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܠܐ ܝܪܬܝܢ ܀
11And these things were some of you; but ye have been washed, but ye have been sanctified, but ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
11ܘܗܠܝܢ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܝ ܒܐܢܫ ܐܢܫ ܡܢܟܘܢ ܐܠܐ ܤܚܝܬܘܢ ܘܐܬܩܕܫܬܘܢ ܘܐܙܕܕܩܬܘܢ ܒܫܡܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܒܪܘܚܗ ܕܐܠܗܢ ܀
12All things are lawful to me, but all things do not profit; all things are lawful to me, but *I* will not be brought under the power of any.
12ܟܠ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܝ ܐܠܐ ܠܐ ܟܠ ܦܩܚ ܠܝ ܟܠ ܫܠܝܛ ܠܝ ܐܠܐ ܥܠܝ ܐܢܫ ܠܐ ܢܫܬܠܛ ܀
13Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats; but God will bring to nothing both it and them: but the body [is] not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
13ܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܕܟܪܤܐ ܘܟܪܤܐ ܕܡܐܟܘܠܬܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܬܪܬܝܗܝܢ ܡܒܛܠ ܦܓܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܠܐ ܠܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܐܠܐ ܠܡܪܢ ܘܡܪܢ ܠܦܓܪܐ ܀
14And God has both raised up the Lord, and will raise us up from among [the dead] by his power.
14ܐܠܗܐ ܕܝܢ ܘܠܡܪܢ ܐܩܝܡ ܘܠܢ ܡܩܝܡ ܒܚܝܠܗ ܀
15Do ye not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then, taking the members of the Christ, make [them] members of a harlot? Far be the thought.
15ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܦܓܪܝܟܘܢ ܗܕܡܐ ܐܢܘܢ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܤܒ ܗܕܡܐ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܢܥܒܕܝܘܗܝ ܗܕܡܐ ܕܙܢܝܬܐ ܚܤ ܀
16Do ye not know that he [that is] joined to the harlot is one body? for the two, he says, shall be one flesh.
16ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܡܢ ܕܢܩܦ ܠܙܢܝܬܐ ܚܕ ܗܘ ܦܓܪ ܐܡܝܪ ܓܝܪ ܕܢܗܘܘܢ ܬܪܝܗܘܢ ܚܕ ܦܓܪ ܀
17But he that [is] joined to the Lord is one Spirit.
17ܡܢ ܕܢܩܦ ܕܝܢ ܠܡܪܢ ܗܘܐ ܥܡܗ ܚܕܐ ܪܘܚ ܀
18Flee fornication. Every sin which a man may practise is without the body, but he that commits fornication sins against his own body.
18ܥܪܘܩܘ ܡܢ ܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܟܠ ܚܛܝܬܐ ܕܢܥܒܕ ܒܪܢܫܐ ܠܒܪ ܡܢ ܦܓܪܗ ܗܝ ܡܢ ܕܡܙܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܦܓܪܗ ܗܘ ܚܛܐ ܀
19Do ye not know that your body is [the] temple of the Holy Spirit which [is] in you, which ye have of God; and ye are not your own?
19ܐܘ ܠܐ ܝܕܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܦܓܪܟܘܢ ܗܝܟܠܐ ܗܘ ܕܪܘܚܐ ܕܩܘܕܫܐ ܕܥܡܪܐ ܒܟܘܢ ܗܝ ܕܩܒܠܬܘܢ ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܘܠܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܕܢܦܫܟܘܢ ܀
20for ye have been bought with a price: glorify now then God in your body.
20ܐܙܕܒܢܬܘܢ ܓܝܪ ܒܕܡܝܐ ܗܘܝܬܘܢ ܗܟܝܠ ܡܫܒܚܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܦܓܪܟܘܢ ܘܒܪܘܚܟܘܢ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܀
