¹And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying,

¹பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

²Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am Jehovah your God.

²நீ இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டியது என்னவென்றால்: நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

³After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do; and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do; neither shall ye walk in their customs.

³நீங்கள் குடியிருந்த எகிப்துதேசத்தாருடைய செய்கையின்படி செய்யாமலும், நான் உங்களை அழைத்துப்போகிற கானான் தேசத்தாருடைய செய்கையின்படி செய்யாமலும், அவர்களுடைய முறைமைகளின்படி நடவாமலும்,

⁴Mine ordinances shall ye do and my statutes shall ye observe to walk therein: I am Jehovah your God.

⁴என்னுடைய நியாயங்களின்படி செய்து, என்னுடைய கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொண்டு நடவுங்கள்; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர்.

⁵And ye shall observe my statutes and my judgments, by which the man that doeth them shall live: I am Jehovah.

⁵ஆகையால் என் கட்டளைகளையும் என் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொள்ளக்கடவீர்கள்; அவைகளின்படி செய்கிறவன் எவனும் அவைகளால் பிழைப்பான்; நான் கர்த்தர்.

⁶No one shall approach to any that is his near relation, to uncover his nakedness: I am Jehovah.

⁶ஒருவனும் தனக்கு நெருங்கின இனமாகிய ஒருத்தியை நிர்வாணமாக்கும்படி அவளைச் சேரலாகாது; நான் கர்த்தர்.

⁷The nakedness of thy father, and the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother: thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

⁷உன் தகப்பனையாவது உன் தாயையாவது நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அவள் உன் தாயானவள்; அவளை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது.

⁸The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.

⁸உன் தகப்பனுடைய மனைவியை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அது உன் தகப்பனுடைய நிர்வாணம்.

⁹The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, born at home, or born abroad -- their nakedness shalt thou not uncover.

⁹உன் தகப்பனுக்காவது உன் தாய்க்காவது வீட்டிலாகிலும் புறத்திலாகிலும் பிறந்த குமாரத்தியாகிய உன் சகோதரியை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது.

¹⁰The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter -- their nakedness shalt thou not uncover; for theirs is thy nakedness.

¹⁰உன் குமாரனுடைய மகளையாவது உன் குமாரத்தியினுடைய மகளையாவது நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அது உன்னுடைய நிர்வாணம்.

¹¹The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father: she is thy sister: thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

¹¹உன் தகப்பனுடைய மனைவியினிடத்தில் உன் தகப்பனுக்குப் பிறந்த குமாரத்தியை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அவள் உனக்குச் சகோதரி.

¹²The nakedness of thy father's sister shalt thou not uncover: she is thy father's near relation.

¹²உன் தகப்பனுடைய சகோதரியை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அவள் உன் தகப்பனுக்கு நெருங்கின இனமானவள்.

¹³The nakedness of thy mother's sister shalt thou not uncover; for she is thy mother's near relation.

¹³உன் தாயினுடைய சகோதரியை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அவள் உன் தாய்க்கு நெருங்கின இனமானவள்.

¹⁴The nakedness of thy father's brother shalt thou not uncover; thou shalt not approach his wife: she is thine aunt.

¹⁴உன் தகப்பனுடைய சகோதரனை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அவன் மனைவியைச் சேராயாக; அவள் உன் தகப்பனுடைய சகோதரி.

¹⁵The nakedness of thy daughter-in-law shalt thou not uncover: she is thy son's wife; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.

¹⁵உன் மருமகளை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அவள் உன் குமாரனுக்கு மனைவி, அவளை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது.

¹⁶The nakedness of thy brother's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy brother's nakedness.

¹⁶உன் சகோதரனுடைய மனைவியை நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அது உன் சகோதரனுடைய நிர்வாணம்.

¹⁷The nakedness of a woman and her daughter shalt thou not uncover; thou shalt not take her son's daughter, nor her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness: they are her near relations: it is wickedness.

¹⁷ஒரு ஸ்திரீயையும் அவள் மகளையும் நிர்வாணமாக்கலாகாது; அவளுடைய குமாரரின் மகளையும் குமாரத்தியின் மகளையும் நிர்வாணமாக்குபடி விவாகம்பண்ணலாகாது; இவர்கள் அவளுக்கு நெருங்கின இனமானவர்கள்; அது முறைகேடு.

¹⁸And thou shalt not take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness beside her, during her life.

¹⁸உன் மனைவி உயிரோடிருக்கையில், அவளுக்கு உபத்திரவமாக அவள் சகோதரியையும் நிர்வாணமாக்கும்பொருட்டு அவளை விவாகம் பண்ணலாகாது.

¹⁹And thou shalt not approach a woman in the separation of her uncleanness to uncover her nakedness.

¹⁹ஸ்திரீயானவள் சூதகத்தால் விலக்கத்திலிருக்கையில், அவளை நிர்வாணமாக்க அவளோடே சேராதே.

²⁰And thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to become unclean with her.

²⁰பிறனுடைய மனைவியோடே சேரும்படி சயனித்து, அவளால் உன்னைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்திக் கொள்ளவேண்டாம்.

²¹And thou shalt not give of thy seed to let them pass through [the fire] to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am Jehovah.

²¹நீ உன் சந்ததியில் யாரையாகிலும் மோளேகுக்கென்று தீக்கடக்கும்படி இடங்கொடாதே; உன் தேவனுடைய நாமத்தைப் பரிசுத்தக் குலைச்சலாக்காதே; நான் கர்த்தர்.

²²And thou shalt not lie with mankind as one lieth with a woman: it is an abomination.

²²பெண்ணோடு சம்யோகம் பண்ணுகிறதுபோல ஆணோடே சம்யோகம் பண்ணவேண்டாம்; அது அருவருப்பானது.

²³And thou shalt lie with no beast to become unclean therewith; and a woman shall not stand before a beast to lie down with it: it is confusion.

²³யாதொரு மிருகத்தோடும் நீ புணர்ச்சிசெய்து, அதினாலே உன்னைத்தீட்டுப்படுத்த வேண்டாம்; ஸ்திரீயானவள் மிருகத்தோடே புணரும்படி அதற்கு முன்பாக நிற்கலாகாது; அது அருவருப்பான தாறுமாறு.

²⁴Make not yourselves unclean in any of these things; for in all these have the nations which I am casting out before you made themselves unclean.

²⁴இவைகளில் ஒன்றினாலும் உங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தாதிருங்கள்; நான் உங்கள் முன்னின்று துரத்திவிடுகிற ஜாதிகள் இவைகளெல்லாவற்றினாலும் தங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறார்கள்; தேசமும் தீட்டுப்படுத்தப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.

²⁵And the land hath become unclean; and I visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land vomiteth out its inhabitants.

²⁵ஆகையால் அதின் அக்கிரமத்தை விசாரிப்பேன்; தேசம் தன் குடிகளைக் கக்கிப்போடும்.

²⁶But *ye* shall observe my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of all these abominations: the home-born, and the stranger that sojourneth among you;

²⁶இந்த அருவருப்புகளையெல்லாம் உங்களுக்குமுன் இருந்த அந்த தேசத்தின் மனிதர் செய்ததினாலே தேசம் தீட்டாயிற்று.

²⁷(for all these abominations have the men of the land done, who were before you, and the land hath been made unclean);

²⁷இப்பொழுதும் உங்களுக்கு முன் இருந்த ஜாதிகளை தேசம் கக்கிப்போட்டதுபோல, நீங்கள் அதைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்தும்போது அது உங்களையும் கக்கிப்போடாதபடிக்கு,

²⁸that the land vomit you not out, when ye make it unclean, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.

²⁸நீங்கள் என் கட்டளைகளையும் என் நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொண்டு, தேசத்திலே பிறந்தவனானாலும் உங்கள் நடுவே தங்குகிற அந்நியனானாலும் இந்த அருவருப்புகளில் ஒன்றையும் செய்யவேண்டாம்.

²⁹For whoever committeth any of these abominations, ... the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

²⁹இப்படிபட்ட அருவருப்பானவைகளில் யாதொன்றை யாராவது செய்தால், செய்த அந்த ஆத்துமாக்கள் ஜனத்தில் இராதபடிக்கு அறுப்புண்டு போவார்கள்.

³⁰And ye shall observe my charge, that ye commit not [any] of the abominable customs which were committed before you; and ye shall not make yourselves unclean therein: I am Jehovah your God.

³⁰ஆகையால் உங்களுக்குமுன் செய்யப்பட்ட அருவருப்பான முறைமைகளில் யாதொன்றை நீங்கள் செய்து, அவைகளால் உங்களைத் தீட்டுப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளாதபடிக்கு என் கட்டளையைக் கைக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; நான் உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என்று சொல் என்றார்.
