¹{A Song of degrees.} Out of the depths do I call upon thee, Jehovah.

¹கர்த்தாவே, ஆழங்களிலிருந்து உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிடுகிறேன்.

²Lord, hear my voice; let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.

²ஆண்டவரே, என் சத்தத்தைக் கேளும்; என் விண்ணப்பங்களின் சத்தத்திற்கு உமது செவிகள் கவனித்திருப்பதாக.

³If thou, Jah, shouldest mark iniquities, Lord, who shall stand?

³கர்த்தாவே, நீர் அக்கிரமங்களைக் கவனித்திருப்பீரானால், யார் நிலைநிற்பான், ஆண்டவரே.

⁴But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

⁴உமக்குப் பயப்படும்படிக்கு உம்மிடத்தில் மன்னிப்பு உண்டு.

⁵I wait for Jehovah; my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

⁵கர்த்தருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறேன்; என் ஆத்துமா காத்திருக்கிறது; அவருடைய வார்த்தையை நம்பியிருக்கிறேன்.

⁶My soul [waiteth] for the Lord more than the watchers [wait] for the morning, [more than] the watchers for the morning.

⁶எப்பொழுது விடியும் என்று விடியற்காலத்துக்குக் காத்திருக்கிற ஜாமக்காரரைப்பார்க்கிலும் அதிகமாய் என் ஆத்துமா ஆண்டவருக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறது.

⁷Let Israel hope in Jehovah, because with Jehovah there is loving-kindness, and with him is plenteous redemption;

⁷இஸ்ரவேல் கர்த்தரை நம்பியிருப்பதாக; கர்த்தரிடத்தில் கிருபையும், அவரிடத்தில் திரளான மீட்பும் உண்டு.

⁸And he will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

⁸அவர் இஸ்ரவேலை அதின் சகல அக்கிரமங்களின்றும் மீட்டுக்கொள்வார்.
