1Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not revoke its sentence; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime.
1พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "เพราะเหตุการละเมิดของเมืองโมอับ สามครั้งและสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ยอมกลับการลงทัณฑ์ เพราะเขาได้เผากระดูกของกษัตริย์เอโดมให้เป็นปูน
2And I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kerijoth; and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, [and] with the sound of the trumpet.
2แต่ เราจะส่งไฟมาบนโมอับ และไฟนั้นจะเผาผลาญปราสาททั้งหลายของเคริโอทเสีย และโมอับจะตายท่ามกลางเสียงสับสนอลหม่าน ท่ามกลางเสียงโห่ร้องและเสียงแตร
3And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith Jehovah.
3เราจะตัดผู้วินิจฉัยออกเสียจากท่ามกลางเมืองนั้น และจะประหารเจ้านายทั้งหลายของเมืองนั้นเสียพร้อมกับผู้วินิจฉัย" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ
4Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not revoke its sentence; because they have despised the law of Jehovah, and have not kept his statutes; and their lies have caused them to err, after which their fathers walked.
4พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "เพราะเหตุการละเมิดของยูดาห์ สามครั้งและสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ยอมกลับการลงทัณฑ์ เพราะว่าเขาปฏิเสธไม่รับพระราชบัญญัติของพระเยโฮวาห์ และมิได้รักษาพระบัญญัติของพระองค์ และการมุสาของเขาได้พาให้เขาหลงเจิ่นไป ตามเยี่ยงที่บิดาของเขาได้ดำเนินมาแล้ว
5And I will send a fire upon Judah, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem.
5แต่ เราจะส่งไฟมาบนยูดาห์ และไฟนั้นจะเผาผลาญปราสาททั้งหลายของเยรูซาเล็มเสีย"
6Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not revoke its sentence; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes;
6พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "เพราะเหตุการละเมิดของอิสราเอล สามครั้งและสี่ครั้ง เราจะไม่ยอมกลับการลงทัณฑ์ เพราะเขาได้ขายคนชอบธรรมเอาเงิน และขายคนขัดสนเอารองเท้าคู่เดียว
7panting after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turning aside the way of the meek; and a man and his father will go in unto the [same] maid, to profane my holy name.
7ซึ่งกระหายหาฝุ่นละอองแห่งแผ่นดินโลกบนศีรษะของคนจน และผลักคนที่ถ่อมใจออกเสียจากหนทางของเขา บุตรชายและบิดาของเขาเข้าหาหญิงคนเดียวกัน เพื่อลบหลู่นามบริสุทธิ์ของเรา
8And they lay [themselves] down by every altar upon clothes taken in pledge, and they drink [in] the house of their God the wine of the condemned.
8ตัวเขาเองนอนอยู่ข้างแท่นบูชาทุกแท่น อยู่บนเสื้อผ้าที่เขายึดมาเป็นประกัน และในนิเวศแห่งพระของเขา เขาทั้งหลายดื่มเหล้าองุ่นสำหรับผู้ที่ถูกปรับโทษ
9But I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was as the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; but I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath.
9เรายังได้ล้างผลาญคนอาโมไรต์ตรงหน้าเขา ซึ่งส่วนสูงของเขาเหมือนอย่างความสูงของต้นสนสีดาร์ และเป็นผู้ที่แข็งแรงอย่างกับต้นโอ๊ก เราทำลายผลข้างบนของเขาเสีย และทำลายรากข้างล่างของเขาเสีย
10And I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years in the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite.
10เรานำเจ้าขึ้นมาจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ และได้นำเจ้าถึงสี่สิบปีในถิ่นทุรกันดาร เพื่อจะได้กรรมสิทธิ์ที่ดินของคนอาโมไรต์
11And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, ye children of Israel? saith Jehovah.
11เราได้ตั้งบุตรชายบางคนของเจ้าให้เป็นผู้พยากรณ์ และได้ตั้งชายหนุ่มบางคนของเจ้าให้เป็นพวกนาศีร์ โอ คนอิสราเอลเอ๋ย ไม่เป็นความจริงดังนี้หรือ" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ
12And ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.
12"แต่เจ้าทั้งหลายได้กระทำให้พวกนาศีดื่มเหล้าองุ่น และบัญชาพวกผู้พยากรณ์สั่งว่า `เจ้าอย่าพยากรณ์เลย'
13Behold, I will press upon you, as a cart presseth that is full of sheaves.
13ดูเถิด เจ้ากดเราลง เหมือนเกวียนที่เต็มด้วยฟ่อนข้าวกดยัดลง
14And flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mighty deliver his soul.
14ฉะนั้นการหนีจะประลาตไปจากผู้มีฝีเท้ารวดเร็ว คนที่แข็งแรงจะไม่สามารถเสริมกำลังของเขา คนที่มีกำลังมากจะช่วยชีวิตของตนก็ไม่ได้
15Neither shall he stand that handleth the bow; and the swift of foot shall not escape, and he that rideth the horse shall not deliver his soul;
15ผู้ที่ถือคันธนูจะไม่ยืนยงอยู่ได้ ผู้มีฝีเท้าเร็วก็ช่วยตัวเองให้รอดพ้นไม่ได้ หรือผู้ที่ขี่ม้าก็ช่วยตัวเองให้รอดพ้นไม่ได้เหมือนกัน
16and he that is stout-hearted among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith Jehovah.
16และผู้ที่มีใจกล้าหาญท่ามกลางผู้มีกำลังเข้มแข็งเหล่านั้นจะหนีไปอย่างเปลือยเปล่าในวันนั้น" พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ
