¹In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans,

¹ในปีต้นรัชกาลดาริอัส โอรสกษัตริย์อาหสุเอรัส เชื้อสายคนมีเดีย ผู้ได้เป็นกษัตริย์เหนือดินแดนเคลเดีย

²in the first year of his reign, I Daniel understood by the books that the number of the years, whereof the word of Jehovah came to Jeremiah the prophet, for the accomplishment of the desolations of Jerusalem, was seventy years.

²ในปีแรกแห่งรัชกาลของท่าน ข้าพเจ้าดาเนียลได้เข้าใจถึงจำนวนปีจากหนังสือ ซึ่งพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์ได้มีมาถึงเยเรมีย์ผู้พยากรณ์ว่า พระองค็จะทรงกระทำให้ครบกำหนดเจ็ดสิบปีในการรกร้างของกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม

³And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes;

³แล้วข้าพเจ้าก็หันหน้าไปหาองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้า แสวงหาด้วยการอธิษฐานและการวิงวอน ทั้งด้วยการอดอาหาร และนุ่งห่มผ้ากระสอบและนั่งบนมูลเถ้า

⁴and I prayed unto Jehovah my God, and made my confession, and said, Alas Lord! the great and terrible ùGod, keeping covenant and loving-kindness with them that love him, and that keep his commandments:

⁴ข้าพเจ้าได้อธิษฐานต่อพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าและสารภาพว่า "ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระเจ้าผู้ใหญ่ยิ่งและที่น่าสะพึงกลัว ผู้ทรงรักษาพันธสัญญาและความเมตตาต่อผู้ที่รักพระองค์และรักษาพระบัญญัติของพระองค์

⁵we have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even turning aside from thy commandments and from thine ordinances.

⁵ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้กระทำบาป และได้กระทำความชั่วช้า และได้ประกอบความชั่วและการกบฏ หันเสียจากข้อบังคับและคำตัดสินของพระองค์

⁶And we have not hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, who spoke in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

⁶ข้าพระองค์มิได้ฟังบรรดาผู้พยากรณ์ ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ ผู้กล่าวในพระนามของพระองค์ต่อกษัตริย์ของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ทั้งต่อเจ้านาย บรรพบุรุษและประชาชนทั้งสิ้นแห่งแผ่นดิน

⁷Thine, O Lord, is the righteousness, but unto us confusion of face, as at this day, to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, in all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their unfaithfulness in which they have been unfaithful against thee.

⁷ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ความชอบธรรมเป็นของพระองค์ แต่ความขายหน้าควรแก่พวกข้าพระองค์ ดังทุกวันนี้ ที่ควรแก่คนยูดาห์ ชาวกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และอิสราเอลทั้งหมด ทั้งผู้ที่อยู่ใกล้และอยู่ไกลออกไป ในแผ่นดินทั้งหลายซึ่งพระองค์ทรงขับไล่เขาไปนั้น เพราะความละเมิดซึ่งเขาได้กระทำต่อพระองค์

⁸O Lord, unto us is confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

⁸ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ความขายหน้าควรแก่พวกข้าพระองค์ แก่กษัตริย์ของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย เจ้านาย และบรรพบุรุษ เพราะข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้กระทำบาปต่อพระองค์

⁹With the Lord our God are mercies and pardons, for we have rebelled against him;

⁹พระกรุณา และการอภัยโทษเป็นขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ถึงแม้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้กบฏต่อพระองค์

¹⁰and we have not hearkened unto the voice of Jehovah our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us through his servants the prophets.

¹⁰และมิได้เชื่อฟังพระสุรเสียงของพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ด้วยการกระทำตามพระราชบัญญัติของพระองค์ ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงตั้งไว้ต่อหน้าข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย โดยบรรดาผู้พยากรณ์ผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์

¹¹And all Israel have transgressed thy law, even turning aside so as not to listen unto thy voice. And the curse hath been poured out upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God: for we have sinned against him.

¹¹เออ อิสราเอลทั้งผองได้ละเมิดต่อพระราชบัญญัติของพระองค์ และได้หันไปเสียไม่เชื่อฟังพระสุรเสียงของพระองค์ และการสาปแช่งและการปฏิญาณ ซึ่งจารึกไว้ในพระราชบัญญัติของโมเสสผู้รับใช้ของพระเจ้า จึงถูกเทลงเหนือข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย เพราะว่าข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้กระทำบาปต่อพระองค์

¹²And he hath performed his words, which he spoke against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil; so that there hath not been done under the whole heaven as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

¹²พระองค์ได้ทรงยืนยันถ้อยคำของพระองค์ ซึ่งพระองค์ได้ตรัสกล่าวโทษข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย และกล่าวโทษผู้ปกครองซึ่งปกครองข้าพระองค์ โดยนำให้ข้าพระองค์เกิดวิบัติอย่างใหญ่หลวง เพราะว่าภายใต้สวรรค์ทั้งสิ้นไม่มีที่ใดที่ได้กระทำเหมือนที่ได้กระทำแก่เยรูซาเล็ม

¹³As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us; yet we besought not Jehovah our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

¹³ดังที่ได้จารึกไว้ในพระราชบัญญัติของโมเสสแล้ว วิบัติทั้งสิ้นก็ได้ตกอยู่เหนือข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายแล้ว แต่ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายยังมิได้อธิษฐานต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย โดยหันเสียจากความชั่วช้าของข้าพระองค์ และเข้าใจความจริงของพระองค์

¹⁴And Jehovah hath watched over the evil, and brought it upon us; for Jehovah our God is righteous in all his works which he hath done; and we have not hearkened unto his voice.

¹⁴เพราะฉะนั้นพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเก็บความวิบัติไว้พร้อมและได้ทรงนำมาเหนือข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายทรงเป็นผู้ชอบธรรมในสรรพกิจ ซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำ เพราะข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายมิได้เชื่อฟังพระสุรเสียงของพระองค์

¹⁵-- And now, O Lord our God, who broughtest thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a strong hand, and hast made thee a name, as it is this day, -- we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

¹⁵แล้วบัดนี้ ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าพระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ผู้ทรงนำชนชาติของพระองค์ออกจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ด้วยพระหัตถ์อันทรงฤทธิ์ และได้ทำให้พระนามลือมาจนทุกวันนี้ ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายได้กระทำบาป และข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายกระทำความชั่ว

¹⁶Lord, according to all thy righteousnesses, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain; for because of our sins, and because of the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people [are become] a reproach to all round about us.

¹⁶ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ตามความชอบธรรมทั้งสิ้นของพระองค์ ขอให้ความกริ้วและพระพิโรธของพระองค์หันกลับเสียจากเยรูซาเล็มนครของพระองค์ ภูเขาบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ เพราะบาปของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย และความชั่วช้าของบรรพบุรุษของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย เยรูซาเล็มและประชาชนของพระองค์จึงกลายเป็นที่เยาะเย้ยในหมู่คนทั้งสิ้นที่อยู่รอบข้าพระองค์

¹⁷And now, our God, hearken to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

¹⁷ฉะนั้น ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย บัดนี้ ขอทรงสดับฟังคำอธิษฐานของผู้รับใช้ของพระองค์ และคำวิงวอนของเขา และขอทรงให้พระพักตร์ของพระองค์ทอแสงเหนือสถานบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์ซึ่งรกร้างนั้นเพื่อเห็นแก่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า

¹⁸Incline thine ear, O my God, and hear; open thine eyes and behold our desolations, and the city that is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee because of our righteousnesses, but because of thy manifold mercies.

¹⁸ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ขอทรงเงี่ยพระกรรณสดับฟัง ขอทรงลืมพระเนตรดูความรกร้างของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย ทั้งนครซึ่งเรียกขานกันตามพระนามของพระองค์ เพราะว่าข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายมิได้ถวายคำวิงวอนต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์ โดยอาศัยความชอบธรรมของข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลาย แต่โดยอาศัยพระเมตตาอันยิ่งใหญ่ของพระองค์

¹⁹Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, hearken and do! defer not, for thine own sake, O my God! for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

¹⁹ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขอทรงฟัง ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขอทรงให้อภัย ข้าแต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า ขอทรงใส่พระทัยและทรงกระทำ ขออย่าเนิ่นช้าเลยพระเจ้าค่ะ เพื่อเห็นแก่พระนามของพระองค์ ข้าแต่พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ เพราะว่านครของพระองค์ และประชาชนของพระองค์ก็มีชื่อตามพระนามของพระองค์"

²⁰And whilst I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God;

²⁰ขณะที่ข้าพเจ้ากำลังพูด กำลังอธิษฐานและสารภาพบาปของข้าพเจ้าและบาปของอิสราเอลประชาชนของข้าพเจ้า และเสนอคำวิงวอนของข้าพเจ้าต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้า เพื่อภูเขาบริสุธิ์แห่งพระเจ้าของข้าพเจ้าอยู่นั้น

²¹whilst I was yet speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

²¹เออ ขณะเมื่อข้าพเจ้ากล่าวคำอธิษฐานอยู่ ชายชื่อกาเบรียล ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าได้เห็นในนิมิตครั้งแรกนั้น ได้บินอย่างเร็วมาใกล้ข้าพเจ้า แตะต้องข้าพเจ้าในเวลาถวายเครื่องบูชาตอนเย็น

²²And he informed [me], and talked with me, and said, Daniel, I am now come forth to make thee skilful of understanding.

²²ท่านได้ให้ความรู้และกล่าวแก่ข้าพเจ้าว่า "โอ ดาเนียล ข้าพเจ้าออกมา ณ บัดนี้ เพื่อจะให้ปัญญาและความเข้าใจแก่ท่าน

²³At the beginning of thy supplications the word went forth, and I am come to declare [it]; for thou art one greatly beloved. Therefore consider the word, and have understanding in the vision:

²³ในตอนต้นแห่งคำวิงวอนของท่านก็มีพระบัญชาออกไป ข้าพเจ้าจึงมาบอกให้ท่านทราบเพราะท่านเป็นผู้ที่ทรงรักมาก เพราะฉะนั้นจงเข้าใจพระบัญชานั้นและพิจารณานิมิตนั้น

²⁴Seventy weeks are apportioned out upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to close the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make expiation for iniquity, and to bring in the righteousness of the ages, and to seal the vision and prophet, and to anoint the holy of holies.

²⁴มีเจ็ดสิบสัปดาห์กำหนดไว้สำหรับชนชาติของท่าน และนครบริสุทธิ์ของท่าน เพื่อให้เสร็จสิ้นการละเมิด ให้บาปจบสิ้น และให้ลบความชั่วช้าเพื่อนำความชอบธรรมนิรันดร์เข้ามา เพื่อประทับตราทั้งนิมิตและคำพยากรณ์ไว้ และเพื่อจะเจิมสถานบริสุทธิ์ที่สุด

²⁵Know therefore and understand: From the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem unto Messiah, the Prince, are seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks. The street and the moat shall be built again, even in troublous times.

²⁵เพราะฉะนั้นจงทราบและเข้าใจว่า นับตั้งแต่การที่พระบัญชานั้นออกไปให้สร้างกรุงเยรูซาเล็มขึ้นใหม่ จนถึงสมัยพระเมสสิยาห์ ผู้เป็นประมุขก็เป็นเวลาเจ็ดสัปดาห์และเป็นเวลาหกสิบสองสัปดาห์ และถนนจะถูกสร้างขึ้นพร้อมด้วยกำแพงเมือง แต่ในยุคลำบาก

²⁶And after the sixty-two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, and shall have nothing; and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with an overflow, and unto the end, war, -- the desolations determined.

²⁶หลังจากหกสิบสองสัปดาห์แล้ว พระเมสสิยาห์ก็จะถูกตัดออก แต่มิใช่เพื่อตัวท่านเอง และประชาชนของประมุขผู้หนึ่งที่จะมานั้นจะทำลายกรุงและสถานบริสุทธิ์เสีย ที่สุดปลายของมันจะมาถึงด้วยน้ำท่วม และจนสงครามสิ้นสุดลงก็มีการรกร้างกำหนดไว้

²⁷And he shall confirm a covenant with the many [for] one week; and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and because of the protection of abominations [there shall be] a desolator, even until that the consumption and what is determined shall be poured out upon the desolate.

²⁷ท่านจะยืนยันพันธสัญญากับคนเป็นอันมากอยู่หนึ่งสัปดาห์ และในระหว่างกลางสัปดาห์นั้นท่านจะกระทำให้การถวายสัตวบูชา และเครื่องบูชาอื่นๆหยุดไป และเพราะเหตุมีความสะอิดสะเอียนแพร่กระจายไปทั่ว ท่านจะกระทำให้มันร้างเปล่าจนสำเร็จเสร็จสิ้น และสิ่งที่กำหนดไว้จะถูกเทลงเหนือผู้ที่ร้างเปล่านั้น"
