1Verily, verily, I say to you, He that enters not in by the door to the fold of the sheep, but mounts up elsewhere, *he* is a thief and a robber;
1"เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า ผู้ที่มิได้เข้าไปในคอกแกะทางประตู แต่ปีนเข้าไปทางอื่นนั้นเป็นขโมยและโจร
2but he that enters in by the door is [the] shepherd of the sheep.
2แต่ผู้ที่เข้าทางประตูก็เป็นผู้เลี้ยงแกะ
3To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice; and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.
3นายประตูจึงเปิดประตูให้ผู้นั้น และแกะย่อมฟังเสียงของท่าน ท่านเรียกชื่อแกะของท่าน และนำออกไป
4When he has put forth all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, because they know his voice.
4เมื่อท่านต้อนแกะของท่านออกไปแล้วก็เดินนำหน้า และแกะก็ตามท่านไปเพราะรู้จักเสียงของท่าน
5But they will not follow a stranger, but will flee from him, because they know not the voice of strangers.
5คนแปลกหน้าแกะจะไม่ตามเลย แต่จะหนีไปจากเขา เพราะไม่รู้จักเสียงของคนแปลกหน้า"
6This allegory spoke Jesus to them, but they did not know what it was [of] which he spoke to them.
6คำอุปมานั้นพระเยซูได้ตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลาย แต่เขาไม่เข้าใจความหมายของพระดำรัสที่พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาเลย
7Jesus therefore said again to them, Verily, verily, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
7พระเยซูจึงตรัสกับเขาอีกว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า เราเป็นประตูของแกะทั้งหลาย
8All whoever came before me are thieves and robbers; but the sheep did not hear them.
8บรรดาผู้ที่มาก่อนเรานั้นเป็นขโมยและโจร แต่ฝูงแกะก็มิได้ฟังเขา
9I am the door: if any one enter in by me, he shall be saved, and shall go in and shall go out and shall find pasture.
9เราเป็นประตู ถ้าผู้ใดเข้าไปทางเรา ผู้นั้นจะรอด และเขาจะเข้าออก แล้วจะพบอาหาร
10The thief comes not but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I am come that they might have life, and might have [it] abundantly.
10ขโมยนั้นย่อมมาเพื่อจะลักและฆ่าและทำลายเสีย เราได้มาเพื่อเขาทั้งหลายจะได้ชีวิต และจะได้อย่างครบบริบูรณ์
11I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep:
11เราเป็นผู้เลี้ยงที่ดี ผู้เลี้ยงที่ดีนั้นย่อมสละชีวิตของตนเพื่อฝูงแกะ
12but he who serves for wages, and who is not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming, and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf seizes them and scatters the sheep.
12แต่ผู้ที่รับจ้างมิได้เป็นผู้เลี้ยงแกะ และฝูงแกะไม่เป็นของเขา เมื่อเห็นสุนัขป่ามา เขาจึงละทิ้งฝูงแกะหนีไป สุนัขป่าก็ชิงเอาแกะไปเสีย และทำให้ฝูงแกะกระจัดกระจายไป
13Now he who serves for wages flees because he serves for wages, and is not himself concerned about the sheep.
13ผู้ที่รับจ้างนั้นหนีเพราะเขาเป็นลูกจ้างและไม่เป็นห่วงแกะเลย
14I am the good shepherd; and I know those that are mine, and am known of those that are mine,
14เราเป็นผู้เลี้ยงที่ดี และเรารู้จักแกะของเรา และแกะของเราก็รู้จักเรา
15as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.
15เหมือนพระบิดาทรงรู้จักเรา เราก็รู้จักพระบิดาด้วย และชีวิตของเรา เราสละเพื่อฝูงแกะ
16And I have other sheep which are not of this fold: those also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one flock, one shepherd.
16แกะอื่นซึ่งมิได้เป็นของคอกนี้เราก็มีอยู่ แกะเหล่านั้นเราก็ต้องพามาด้วย และแกะเหล่านั้นจะฟังเสียงของเรา แล้วจะรวมเป็นฝูงเดียว และมีผู้เลี้ยงเพียงผู้เดียว
17On this account the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it again.
17ด้วยเหตุนี้พระบิดาจึงทรงรักเรา เพราะเราสละชีวิตของเรา เพื่อจะรับชีวิตนั้นคืนมาอีก
18No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have authority to lay it down and I have authority to take it again. I have received this commandment of my Father.
18ไม่มีผู้ใดชิงชีวิตไปจากเราได้ แต่เราสละชีวิตด้วยใจสมัครของเราเอง เรามีสิทธิที่จะสละชีวิตนั้น และมีสิทธิที่จะรับคืนอีก พระบัญชานี้เราได้รับมาจากพระบิดาของเรา"
19There was a division again among the Jews on account of these words;
19พระดำรัสนี้จึงทำให้พวกยิวแตกแยกกันอีก
20but many of them said, He has a demon and raves; why do ye hear him?
20พวกเขาหลายคนพูดว่า "เขามีผีสิงและเป็นบ้า ท่านฟังเขาทำไม"
21Others said, These sayings are not [those] of one that is possessed by a demon. Can a demon open blind people's eyes?
21พวกอื่นก็พูดว่า "คำอย่างนี้ไม่เป็นคำของผู้ที่มีผีสิง ผีจะทำให้คนตาบอดมองเห็นได้หรือ"
22Now the feast of the dedication was celebrating at Jerusalem, and it was winter.
22ขณะนั้นเป็นเทศกาลเลี้ยงฉลองพระวิหารที่กรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และเป็นฤดูหนาว
23And Jesus walked in the temple in the porch of Solomon.
23พระเยซูทรงดำเนินอยู่ในพระวิหารที่เฉลียงของซาโลมอน
24The Jews therefore surrounded him, and said to him, Until when dost thou hold our soul in suspense? If thou art the Christ, say [so] to us openly.
24แล้วพวกยิวก็พากันมาห้อมล้อมพระองค์ไว้และทูลพระองค์ว่า "จะทำให้เราสงสัยนานสักเท่าใด ถ้าท่านเป็นพระคริสต์ก็จงบอกเราให้ชัดแจ้งเถิด"
25Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye do not believe. The works which I do in my Father's name, these bear witness concerning me:
25พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาทั้งหลายว่า "เราได้บอกท่านทั้งหลายแล้ว และท่านไม่เชื่อ การซึ่งเราได้กระทำในพระนามพระบิดาของเราก็เป็นพยานให้แก่เรา
26but ye do not believe, for ye are not of my sheep, as I told you.
26แต่ท่านทั้งหลายไม่เชื่อ เพราะท่านมิได้เป็นแกะของเรา ตามที่เราได้บอกท่านแล้ว
27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me;
27แกะของเราย่อมฟังเสียงของเรา และเรารู้จักแกะเหล่านั้น และแกะนั้นตามเรา
28and I give them life eternal; and they shall never perish, and no one shall seize them out of my hand.
28เราให้ชีวิตนิรันดร์แก่แกะนั้น และแกะนั้นจะไม่พินาศเลย และจะไม่มีผู้ใดแย่งชิงแกะเหล่านั้นไปจากมือของเราได้
29My Father who has given [them] to me is greater than all, and no one can seize out of the hand of my Father.
29พระบิดาของเราผู้ประทานแกะนั้นให้แก่เราเป็นใหญ่กว่าทุกสิ่ง และไม่มีผู้ใดสามารถชิงแกะนั้นไปจากพระหัตถ์ของพระบิดาของเราได้
30I and the Father are one.
30เรากับพระบิดาเป็นอันหนึ่งอันเดียวกัน"
31The Jews therefore again took stones that they might stone him.
31พวกยิวจึงหยิบก้อนหินขึ้นมาอีกจะขว้างพระองค์ให้ตาย
32Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewn you of my Father; for which work of them do ye stone me?
32พระเยซูจึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "เราได้สำแดงให้ท่านเห็นการดีหลายประการซึ่งมาจากพระบิดาของเรา ท่านทั้งหลายหยิบก้อนหินจะขว้างเราให้ตายเพราะการกระทำข้อใดเล่า"
33The Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy, and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God.
33พวกยิวทูลตอบพระองค์ว่า "เราจะขว้างท่านมิใช่เพราะการกระทำดี แต่เพราะการพูดหมิ่นประมาท เพราะท่านเป็นเพียงมนุษย์แต่ตั้งตัวเป็นพระเจ้า"
34Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?
34พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ในพระราชบัญญัติของท่านมีคำเขียนไว้มิใช่หรือว่า `เราได้กล่าวว่า ท่านทั้งหลายเป็นพระ'
35If he called *them* gods to whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken),
35ถ้าพระองค์ได้ทรงเรียกผู้ที่รับพระวจนะของพระเจ้าว่าเป็นพระ และจะฝ่าฝืนพระคัมภีร์ไม่ได้
36do ye say of him whom the Father has sanctified and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest, because I said, I am Son of God?
36ท่านทั้งหลายจะกล่าวหาท่านที่พระบิดาได้ทรงตั้งไว้ และทรงใช้เข้ามาในโลกว่า `ท่านกล่าวคำหมิ่นประมาท' เพราะเราได้กล่าวว่า `เราเป็นบุตรของพระเจ้า' อย่างนั้นหรือ
37If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not;
37ถ้าเราไม่ปฏิบัติพระราชกิจของพระบิดาของเรา ก็อย่าเชื่อในเราเลย
38but if I do, even if ye believe not me, believe the works, that ye may know [and believe] that the Father is in me and I in him.
38แต่ถ้าเราปฏิบัติพระราชกิจนั้น แม้ว่าท่านมิได้เชื่อในเรา ก็จงเชื่อเพราะพระราชกิจนั้นเถิด เพื่อท่านจะได้รู้และเชื่อว่าพระบิดาทรงอยู่ในเรา และเราอยู่ในพระบิดา"
39They sought therefore again to take him; and he went away from out of their hand
39พวกเขาจึงหาโอกาสจับพระองค์อีกครั้งหนึ่ง แต่พระองค์ทรงรอดพ้นจากมือเขาไปได้
40and departed again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was baptising at the first: and he abode there.
40พระองค์เสด็จไปฟากแม่น้ำจอร์แดนข้างโน้นอีก และไปถึงสถานที่ที่ยอห์นให้บัพติศมาเป็นครั้งแรก และพระองค์ทรงพักอยู่ที่นั่น
41And many came to him, and said, John did no sign; but all things which John said of this [man] were true.
41คนเป็นอันมากพากันมาหาพระองค์ และกล่าวว่า "ยอห์นมิได้ทำการอัศจรรย์ใดๆเลย แต่ทุกสิ่งซึ่งยอห์นได้กล่าวถึงท่านผู้นี้เป็นความจริง"
42And many believed on him there.
42และมีคนหลายคนที่นั่นได้เชื่อในพระองค์
