1And he said to his disciples, It cannot be but that offences come, but woe [to him] by whom they come!
1พระองค์ตรัสกับเหล่าสาวกอีกว่า "จำเป็นต้องมีเหตุให้หลงผิด แต่วิบัติแก่ผู้ที่ก่อเหตุให้เกิดความหลงผิดนั้น
2It would be [more] profitable for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck and he cast into the sea, than that he should be a snare to one of these little ones.
2ถ้าเอาหินโม่แป้งผูกคอคนนั้นถ่วงเสียที่ทะเล ก็ดีกว่าให้เขานำผู้เล็กน้อยเหล่านี้คนหนึ่งให้หลงผิด
3Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother should sin, rebuke him; and if he should repent, forgive him.
3จงระวังตัวให้ดี ถ้าพี่น้องทำการละเมิดต่อท่าน จงเตือนเขา และถ้าเขากลับใจแล้ว จงยกโทษให้เขา
4And if he should sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times should return to thee, saying, I repent, thou shalt forgive him.
4แม้เขาจะทำการละเมิดต่อท่านวันหนึ่งเจ็ดหน และจะกลับมาหาท่านทั้งเจ็ดหนในวันเดียวนั้น แล้วว่า `ฉันกลับใจแล้ว' จงยกโทษให้เขาเถิด"
5And the apostles said to the Lord, Give more faith to us.
5ฝ่ายอัครสาวกทูลองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าว่า "ขอพระองค์โปรดให้ความเชื่อของพวกข้าพเจ้ามากยิ่งขึ้น"
6But the Lord said, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard [seed], ye had said to this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou planted in the sea, and it would have obeyed you.
6องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจึงตรัสว่า "ถ้าพวกท่านมีความเชื่อเท่าเมล็ดพันธุ์ผักกาดเมล็ดหนึ่ง ท่านก็จะสั่งต้นสุกะมินนี้ได้ว่า `จงถอนขึ้นออกไปปักในทะเล' และมันจะเชื่อฟังท่าน
7But which of you [is there] who, having a bondman ploughing or shepherding, when he comes in out of the field, will say, Come and lie down immediately to table?
7ในพวกท่านมีคนใดที่มีผู้รับใช้ไถนาหรือเลี้ยงแกะ เมื่อผู้รับใช้คนนั้นกลับมาจากทุ่งนาจะบอกเขาทีเดียวว่า `เชิญเอนกายลงรับประทานเถิด'
8But will he not say to him, Prepare what I shall sup on, and gird thyself and serve me that I may eat and drink; and after that *thou* shalt eat and drink?
8หรือจะไม่บอกเขาว่า `จงหาให้เรารับประทานและคาดเอวไว้ปรนนิบัติเรา จนเราจะกินและดื่มอิ่มแล้ว และภายหลังเจ้าจงค่อยกินและดื่มเถิด'
9Is he thankful to the bondman because he has done what was ordered? I judge not.
9นายจะขอบใจผู้รับใช้นั้นเพราะผู้รับใช้ได้ทำตามคำสั่งหรือ เราคิดว่าไม่
10Thus *ye* also, when ye shall have done all things that have been ordered you, say, We are unprofitable bondmen; we have done what it was our duty to do.
10ฉันใดก็ดี เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายได้กระทำสิ่งสารพัดซึ่งทรงบัญชาไว้แก่ท่านนั้น ก็จงพูดด้วยว่า `ข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายเป็นผู้รับใช้ที่ไม่มีบุญคุณต่อนาย ข้าพเจ้าได้กระทำตามหน้าที่ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าควรกระทำเท่านั้น'"
11And it came to pass as he was going up to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
11ต่อมาเมื่อพระองค์กำลังเสด็จไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม พระองค์จึงเสด็จเลียบระหว่างแคว้นสะมาเรียและกาลิลี
12And as he entered into a certain village ten leprous men met him, who stood afar off.
12เมื่อพระองค์เสด็จเข้าไปในหมู่บ้านแห่งหนึ่ง มีคนเป็นโรคเรื้อนสิบคนมาพบพระองค์ยืนอยู่แต่ไกล
13And they lifted up [their] voice saying, Jesus, Master, have compassion on us.
13และส่งเสียงร้องว่า "เยซูนายเจ้าข้า โปรดได้เมตตาข้าพเจ้าทั้งหลายเถิด"
14And seeing [them] he said to them, Go, shew yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass as they were going they were cleansed.
14เมื่อพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นแล้วจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "จงไปแสดงตัวแก่พวกปุโรหิตเถิด" ต่อมาเมื่อกำลังเดินไป เขาทั้งหลายก็หายสะอาด
15And one of them, seeing that he was cured, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,
15ฝ่ายคนหนึ่งในพวกนั้น เมื่อเห็นว่าตัวหายโรคแล้ว จึงกลับมาสรรเสริญพระเจ้าด้วยเสียงดัง
16and fell on [his] face at his feet giving him thanks: and *he* was a Samaritan.
16และกราบลงที่พระบาทของพระองค์ ขอบพระคุณพระองค์ คนนั้นเป็นชาวสะมาเรีย
17And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but the nine, where [are they]?
17ฝ่ายพระเยซูตรัสว่า "มีสิบคนหายสะอาดมิใช่หรือ แต่เก้าคนนั้นอยู่ที่ไหน
18There have not been found to return and give glory to God save this stranger.
18ไม่เห็นผู้ใดกลับมาสรรเสริญพระเจ้า เว้นไว้แต่คนต่างชาติคนนี้"
19And he said to him, Rise up and go thy way: thy faith has made thee well.
19แล้วพระองค์ตรัสกับคนนั้นว่า "จงลุกขึ้นไปเถิด ความเชื่อของเจ้าได้กระทำให้ตัวเจ้าหายปกติ"
20And having been asked by the Pharisees, When is the kingdom of God coming? he answered them and said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation;
20เมื่อพวกฟาริสีทูลถามพระองค์ว่า อาณาจักรของพระเจ้าจะมาถึงเมื่อไร พระองค์ตรัสตอบเขาว่า "อาณาจักรของพระเจ้าไม่มาโดยให้เป็นที่สังเกตได้
21nor shall they say, Lo here, or, Lo there; for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.
21และเขาจะไม่พูดว่า `มาดูนี่' หรือ `ไปดูโน่น' เพราะ ดูเถิด อาณาจักรของพระเจ้าอยู่ภายในท่านทั้งหลาย"
22And he said to the disciples, Days are coming, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and shall not see [it].
22พระองค์ตรัสกับเหล่าสาวกว่า "จะมีเวลาหนึ่งเมื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะใคร่เห็นวันของบุตรมนุษย์สักวันหนึ่ง แต่จะไม่เห็น
23And they will say to you, Lo here, or Lo there; go not, nor follow [them].
23เขาจะพูดกับท่านทั้งหลายว่า `มาดูนี่' หรือ `ไปดูโน่น' อย่าออกไป อย่าตามเขา
24For as the lightning shines which lightens from [one end] under heaven to [the other end] under heaven, thus shall the Son of man be in his day.
24ด้วยว่าเปรียบเหมือนฟ้าแลบ เมื่อแลบออกจากฟ้าข้างหนึ่ง ก็ส่องสว่างไปถึงฟ้าอีกข้างหนึ่ง บุตรมนุษย์ก็จะเป็นอย่างนั้นแหละในวันของพระองค์
25But first he must suffer many things and be rejected of this generation.
25ก่อนนั้นจำเป็นที่พระองค์จะต้องทนทุกข์ทรมานหลายประการ และคนยุคนี้จะปฏิเสธพระองค์
26And as it took place in the days of Noe, thus also shall it be in the days of the Son of man:
26ในสมัยของโนอาห์เหตุการณ์ได้เป็นมาแล้วอย่างไร ในสมัยของบุตรมนุษย์ก็จะเป็นไปอย่างนั้นด้วย
27they ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came and destroyed all [of them];
27เขาได้กินและดื่ม ได้สมรสกันและได้ยกให้เป็นสามีภรรยากัน จนถึงวันนั้นที่โนอาห์ได้เข้าในนาวา และน้ำได้มาท่วมล้างผลาญเขาเสียทั้งสิ้น
28and in like manner as took place in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
28ในสมัยของโลทก็เหมือนกัน เขาได้กินดื่ม ซื้อขาย หว่านปลูก ก่อสร้าง
29but on the day that Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and sulphur from heaven, and destroyed all [of them]:
29แต่ในวันนั้นที่โลทออกไปจากเมืองโสโดม ไฟและกำมะถันได้ตกจากฟ้ามาเผาผลาญเขาเสียทั้งสิ้น
30after this [manner] shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.
30ในวันที่บุตรมนุษย์จะมาปรากฏก็เป็นเหมือนอย่างนั้น
31In that day, he who shall be on the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not go down to take it away; and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
31ในวันนั้นคนที่อยู่บนดาดฟ้าหลังคาบ้าน และของของเขาอยู่ในบ้าน อย่าให้เขาลงมาเก็บของนั้นไป และคนที่อยู่ตามทุ่งนา อย่าให้เขากลับมาเหมือนกัน
32Remember the wife of Lot.
32จงระลึกถึงภรรยาของโลทนั้นเถิด
33Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it, and whosoever shall lose it shall preserve it.
33ผู้ใดอุตส่าห์เอาชีวิตของตนรอด ผู้นั้นจะเสียชีวิต แต่ผู้ใดจะสู้เสียชีวิต ผู้นั้นจะได้ชีวิตรอด
34I say to you, In that night there shall be two [men] upon one bed; one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.
34เราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า ในคืนวันนั้นจะมีชายสองคนนอนในที่นอนอันเดียวกัน จะทรงรับคนหนึ่ง จะทรงละคนหนึ่ง
35Two [women] shall be grinding together; the one shall be seized and the other shall be let go.
35ผู้หญิงสองคนจะโม่แป้งด้วยกัน จะทรงรับคนหนึ่ง จะทรงละคนหนึ่ง
36[Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be seized and the other let go.]
36ชายสองคนจะอยู่ในทุ่งนา จะทรงรับคนหนึ่ง จะทรงละคนหนึ่ง"
37And answering they say to him, Where, Lord? And he said to them, Where the body [is], there the eagles will be gathered together.
37เขาจึงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "จะเกิดขึ้นที่ไหน พระองค์เจ้าข้า" พระองค์ตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ซากศพอยู่ที่ไหน ฝูงนกอินทรีจะตอมกันอยู่ที่นั่น"
