1And he looked up and saw the rich casting their gifts into the treasury;
1พระองค์เงยพระพักตร์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นคนมั่งมีทั้งหลายนำเงินมาใส่ในตู้เก็บเงินถวาย
2but he saw also a certain poor widow casting therein two mites.
2พระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นหญิงม่ายคนหนึ่งเป็นคนจนนำเหรียญทองแดงสองอันมาใส่ด้วย
3And he said, Verily I say unto you, that this poor widow has cast in more than all;
3พระองค์ตรัสว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า หญิงม่ายจนคนนี้ได้ใส่ไว้มากกว่าคนทั้งปวงนี้
4for all these out of their abundance have cast into the gifts [of God]; but she out of her need has cast in all the living which she had.
4เพราะว่าคนทั้งปวงนี้ได้เอาเงินเหลือใช้ของเขามาใส่ถวายแด่พระเจ้า แต่ผู้หญิงนี้ขัดสนที่สุด ยังได้เอาเงินที่มีอยู่สำหรับเลี้ยงชีวิตของตนมาใส่จนหมด"
5And as some spoke of the temple, that it was adorned with goodly stones and consecrated offerings, he said,
5เมื่อบางคนพูดชมพระวิหารว่าได้ตกแต่งไว้ด้วยศิลางามและเครื่องถวาย พระองค์จึงตรัสว่า
6[As to] these things which ye are beholding, days are coming in which there shall not be left stone upon stone which shall not be thrown down.
6"สิ่งเหล่านี้ที่ท่านทั้งหลายเห็น วันหนึ่งศิลาที่ซ้อนทับกันอยู่ที่นี่ซึ่งจะไม่ถูกทำลายลงก็ไม่มี"
7And they asked him saying, Teacher, when then shall these things be; and what [is] the sign when these things are going to take place?
7เขาทั้งหลายทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "พระอาจารย์เจ้าข้า เหตุการณ์เหล่านี้จะบังเกิดขึ้นเมื่อไร สิ่งไรเป็นหมายสำคัญว่าการณ์ทั้งปวงนี้จวนจะบังเกิดขึ้น"
8And he said, See that ye be not led astray, for many shall come in my name, saying, *I* am [he], and the time is drawn nigh: go ye not [therefore] after them.
8พระองค์จึงตรัสว่า "ระวังให้ดี อย่าให้ผู้ใดล่อลวงท่านให้หลง ด้วยว่าจะมีหลายคนมาต่างอ้างนามของเราและว่า `เราเป็นพระคริสต์' และว่า `เวลานั้นใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว' ท่านทั้งหลายอย่าตามเขาไปเลย
9And when ye shall hear of wars and tumults, be not terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end is not immediately.
9เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะได้ยินถึงการสงครามและการจลาจล อย่าตกใจกลัว เพราะว่าสิ่งเหล่านั้นจำต้องเกิดขึ้นก่อน แต่ที่สุดปลายยังจะไม่มาทันที"
10Then he said to them, Nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom;
10แล้วพระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "`ประชาชาติต่อประชาชาติ ราชอาณาจักรต่อราชอาณาจักรจะต่อสู้กัน'
11there shall be both great earthquakes in different places, and famines and pestilences; and there shall be fearful sights and great signs from heaven.
11ทั้งจะเกิดแผ่นดินไหวใหญ่ในที่ต่างๆ และจะเกิดกันดารอาหารและโรคภัย และจะมีความวิบัติอันน่ากลัว และหมายสำคัญใหญ่ๆจากฟ้าสวรรค์
12But before all these things they shall lay their hands upon you and persecute you, delivering [you] up to synagogues and prisons, bringing [you] before kings and governors on account of my name;
12แต่ก่อนเหตุการณ์เหล่านั้นเขาจะจับท่านไว้ และจะข่มเหงท่านและมอบท่านไว้ในธรรมศาลาและในคุก และพาท่านไปต่อหน้ากษัตริย์และเจ้าเมืองเพราะเหตุนามของเรา
13but it shall turn out to you for a testimony.
13การนั้นจะเกิดแก่ท่านเพื่อท่านจะได้เป็นพยาน
14Settle therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand [your] defence,
14เหตุฉะนั้น ท่านทั้งหลายต้องปลงใจไว้ว่า จะไม่คิดนึกก่อนว่าจะแก้ตัวอย่างไร
15for *I* will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your opposers shall not be able to reply to or resist.
15ด้วยว่าเราจะให้ปากและปัญญาแก่ท่าน ซึ่งศัตรูทั้งหลายของท่านจะต่อต้านและคัดค้านไม่ได้
16But ye will be delivered up even by parents and brethren and relations and friends, and they shall put to death [some] from among you,
16แม้แต่บิดามารดาญาติพี่น้องและมิตรสหายจะทรยศท่านไว้ และพวกเขาจะฆ่าบางคนในพวกท่านเสีย
17and ye will be hated of all for my name's sake.
17คนทั้งปวงจะเกลียดชังท่านเพราะเหตุนามของเรา
18And a hair of your head shall in no wise perish.
18แต่ผมของท่านสักเส้นหนึ่งจะเสียไปก็หามิได้
19By your patient endurance gain your souls.
19ท่านจะได้ชีวิตรอดโดยความอดทนของท่าน
20But when ye see Jerusalem encompassed with armies, then know that its desolation is drawn nigh.
20เมื่อท่านเห็นกองทัพทั้งหลายมาตั้งล้อมรอบกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม เมื่อนั้นจงรู้ว่าวิบัติของกรุงนั้นก็ใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว
21Then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains, and those who are in the midst of it depart out, and those who are in the country not enter into it;
21เวลานั้นให้ผู้ที่อยู่ในแคว้นยูเดียหนีไปยังภูเขาและผู้ที่อยู่ในกรุงให้ออกไป และผู้ที่อยู่บ้านนอกอย่าให้เข้ามาในกรุง
22for these are days of avenging, that all the things that are written may be accomplished.
22เพราะว่าเวลานั้นเป็นวันแห่งการแก้แค้นเพื่อจะให้สิ่งสารพัดที่เขียนไว้นั้นสำเร็จ
23But woe to them that are with child and to them who give suck in those days, for there shall be great distress upon the land and wrath upon this people.
23แต่ในวันเหล่านั้นวิบัติแก่หญิงที่มีครรภ์หรือมีลูกอ่อนกินนมอยู่ เพราะว่าจะมีความทุกข์ร้อนใหญ่หลวงบนแผ่นดิน และจะทรงพระพิโรธแก่พลเมืองนี้
24And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of [the] nations until [the] times of [the] nations be fulfilled.
24เขาจะล้มลงด้วยคมดาบ และต้องถูกกวาดเอาไปเป็นเชลยทั่วทุกประชาชาติ และคนต่างชาติจะเหยียบย่ำกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม จนกว่าเวลากำหนดของคนต่างชาตินั้นจะครบถ้วน
25And there shall be signs in sun and moon and stars, and upon the earth distress of nations in perplexity [at] the roar of the sea and rolling waves,
25จะมีหมายสำคัญที่ดวงอาทิตย์ ที่ดวงจันทร์ และที่ดวงดาวทั้งปวง และบนแผ่นดินก็จะมีความทุกข์ร้อนตามชาติต่างๆ ซึ่งมีความฉงนสนเท่ห์เพราะเสียงกึกก้องของทะเลและคลื่น
26men ready to die through fear and expectation of what is coming on the habitable earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
26จิตใจมนุษย์ก็จะสลบไสลไปเพราะความกลัว และเพราะสังหรณ์ถึงเหตุการณ์ซึ่งจะบังเกิดในโลก ด้วยว่า `บรรดาสิ่งที่มีอำนาจในท้องฟ้าจะสะเทือนสะท้าน'
27And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
27เมื่อนั้นเขาจะเห็นบุตรมนุษย์เสด็จมาในเมฆ ทรงฤทธานุภาพและสง่าราศีเป็นอันมาก
28But when these things begin to come to pass, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws nigh.
28เมื่อเหตุการณ์ทั้งปวงนี้เริ่มจะบังเกิดขึ้นนั้น จงยืดตัวและผงกศีรษะขึ้น ด้วยการไถ่ท่านใกล้จะถึงแล้ว"
29And he spoke a parable to them: Behold the fig-tree and all the trees;
29พระองค์ตรัสคำอุปมาแก่เขาว่า "จงดูต้นมะเดื่อและต้นไม้ทั้งปวงเถิด
30when they already sprout, ye know of your own selves, [on] looking [at them], that already the summer is near.
30เมื่อผลิใบออกแล้ว ท่านทั้งหลายก็เห็นและรู้อยู่เองว่าฤดูร้อนจวนจะถึงแล้ว
31So also *ye*, when ye see these things take place, know that the kingdom of God is near.
31เช่นนั้นแหละ เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายเห็นเหตุการณ์เหล่านั้นเกิดขึ้น ก็ให้รู้ว่าอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าใกล้จะถึงแล้ว
32Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall in no wise pass away until all come to pass.
32เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า คนในชั่วอายุนี้จะไม่ล่วงลับไปก่อนสิ่งทั้งปวงนั้นจะสำเร็จ
33The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.
33ฟ้าและดินจะล่วงไป แต่ถ้อยคำของเราจะสูญหายไปหามิได้เลย
34But take heed to yourselves lest possibly your hearts be laden with surfeiting and drinking and cares of life, and that day come upon you suddenly unawares;
34แต่จงระวังตัวให้ดี เกลือกว่าในเวลาหนึ่งเวลาใดใจของท่านจะล้นไปด้วยอาการกินและดื่ม และด้วยการเมา และด้วยคิดกังวลถึงชีวิตนี้ แล้วเวลานั้นจะมาถึงท่านโดยไม่ทันรู้ตัว
35for as a snare shall it come upon all them that dwell upon the face of the whole earth.
35เพราะว่าวันนั้นจะมาดุจบ่วงแร้วถึงคนทั้งปวงที่อยู่ทั่วพื้นแผ่นดินโลก
36Watch therefore, praying at every season, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things which are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
36เหตุฉะนั้นจงเฝ้าระวังและอธิษฐานอยู่ทุกเวลา เพื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะสมควรที่จะพ้นเหตุการณ์ทั้งปวงซึ่งจะบังเกิดมานั้น และจะยืนอยู่ต่อหน้าบุตรมนุษย์ได้"
37And by day he was teaching in the temple, and by night, going out, he remained abroad on the mountain called [the mount] of Olives;
37กลางวันพระองค์ทรงสั่งสอนในพระวิหาร และกลางคืนก็เสด็จออกไปประทับที่ภูเขาชื่อมะกอกเทศ
38and all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple to hear him.
38คนทั้งปวงก็มาหาพระองค์ในพระวิหารแต่เช้าตรู่เพื่อจะฟังพระองค์
