1And immediately in the morning the chief priests, having taken counsel with the elders and scribes and the whole sanhedrim, bound Jesus and carried [him] away, and delivered [him] up to Pilate.
1พอรุ่งเช้า พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่กับพวกผู้ใหญ่และพวกธรรมาจารย์และบรรดาสมาชิกสภาได้ปรึกษากัน แล้วจึงมัดพระเยซูพาไปมอบไว้แก่ปีลาต
2And Pilate asked him, Art *thou* the King of the Jews? And he answered and said to him, *Thou* sayest.
2ปีลาตจึงถามพระองค์ว่า "ท่านเป็นกษัตริย์ของพวกยิวหรือ" พระองค์ตรัสตอบท่านว่า "ท่านว่าแล้วนี่"
3And the chief priests accused him urgently.
3ฝ่ายพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่ได้ฟ้องกล่าวโทษพระองค์เป็นหลายประการ แต่พระองค์ไม่ตรัสตอบประการใด
4And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? See of how many things they bear witness against thee.
4ปีลาตจึงถามพระองค์อีกว่า "ท่านไม่ตอบอะไรหรือ ดูเถิด เขากล่าวความปรักปรำท่านหลายประการทีเดียว"
5But Jesus still answered nothing, so that Pilate marvelled.
5แต่พระเยซูมิได้ตรัสตอบประการใดอีก ปีลาตจึงอัศจรรย์ใจ
6But at [the] feast he released to them one prisoner, whomsoever they begged [of him].
6ในเทศกาลเลี้ยงนั้น ปีลาตเคยปล่อยนักโทษคนหนึ่งให้เขาตามที่เขาขอ
7Now there was the [person] named Barabbas bound with those who had made insurrection with [him], [and] that had committed murder in the insurrection.
7มีคนหนึ่งชื่อบารับบัสซึ่งต้องจำอยู่ในจำพวกคนกบฏ ผู้ที่ได้ฆ่าคนในการกบฏนั้น
8And the crowd crying out began to beg [that he would do] to them as he had always done.
8ประชาชนจึงได้ร้องเสียงดัง เริ่มขอปีลาตให้ทำตามที่ท่านเคยทำให้เขานั้น
9But Pilate answered them saying, Will ye that I release to you the King of the Jews?
9ปีลาตได้ถามเขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายปรารถนาจะให้เราปล่อยกษัตริย์ของพวกยิวหรือ"
10for he knew that the chief priests had delivered him up through envy.
10เพราะท่านรู้อยู่แล้วว่า พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่ได้มอบพระองค์ไว้ด้วยความอิจฉา
11But the chief priests stirred up the crowd that he might rather release Barabbas to them.
11แต่พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่ยุยงประชาชนให้ขอปีลาตปล่อยบารับบัสแทนพระเยซู
12And Pilate answering said to them again, What will ye then that I do [to him] whom ye call King of the Jews?
12ฝ่ายปีลาตจึงถามเขาอีกว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายจะให้เราทำอย่างไรแก่คนนี้ ซึ่งท่านทั้งหลายเรียกว่ากษัตริย์ของพวกยิว"
13And they cried out again, Crucify him.
13เขาทั้งหลายร้องตะโกนอีกว่า "ตรึงเขาเสียที่กางเขนเถิด"
14And Pilate said to them, What evil then has he done? But they cried out the more urgently, Crucify him.
14ปีลาตจึงถามเขาทั้งหลายว่า "ตรึงทำไม เขาได้ทำผิดประการใด" แต่ประชาชนยิ่งร้องว่า "ตรึงเขาเสียที่กางเขนเถิด"
15And Pilate, desirous of contenting the crowd, released to them Barabbas, and delivered up Jesus, when he had scourged him, that he might be crucified.
15ปีลาตปรารถนาจะเอาใจประชาชน จึงปล่อยบารับบัสให้เขา และเมื่อได้ให้โบยตีพระองค์แล้ว ก็มอบพระเยซูให้เขาเอาไปตรึงไว้ที่กางเขน
16And the soldiers led him away into the court which is [called the] praetorium, and they call together the whole band.
16พวกทหารจึงนำพระองค์ไปข้างในราชสำนักคือที่เรียกว่าศาลปรีโทเรียม แล้วเรียกพวกทหารทั้งกองให้มาประชุมกัน
17And they clothe him with purple, and bind round on him a crown of thorns which they had plaited.
17เขาเอาเสื้อสีม่วงมาสวมพระองค์ เอาหนามสานเป็นมงกุฎสวมพระเศียรพระองค์
18And they began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!
18แล้วเริ่มคำนับพระองค์พูดว่า "กษัตริย์ของพวกยิวเจ้าข้า ขอทรงพระเจริญ"
19And they struck his head with a reed, and spat on him, and, bending the knee, did him homage.
19แล้วเขาได้เอาไม้อ้อตีพระเศียรพระองค์ และได้ถ่มน้ำลายรดพระองค์ แล้วคุกเข่าลงนมัสการพระองค์
20And when they had mocked him, they took the purple off him, and put his own clothes on him; and they lead him out that they may crucify him.
20เมื่อเยาะเย้ยพระองค์แล้ว เขาถอดเสื้อสีม่วงนั้นออก แล้วเอาฉลองพระองค์เองสวมให้ และนำพระองค์ออกไปเพื่อจะตรึงเสียที่กางเขน
21And they compel to go [with them] a certain passer-by, Simon, a Cyrenian, coming from the field, the father of Alexander and Rufus, that he might carry his cross.
21มีคนหนึ่งชื่อซีโมนชาวไซรีน เป็นบิดาของอเล็กซานเดอร์และรูฟัส เดินมาจากบ้านนอกตามทางนั้น เขาก็เกณฑ์ซีโมนให้แบกกางเขนของพระองค์ไป
22And they bring him to the place [called] Golgotha, which, being interpreted, is Place of a skull.
22เขาพาพระองค์มาถึงตำบลหนึ่งชื่อกลโกธา แปลว่า กะโหลกศีรษะ
23And they offered him wine [to drink] medicated with myrrh; but he did not take [it].
23แล้วเขาเอาน้ำองุ่นระคนกับมดยอบให้พระองค์เสวย แต่พระองค์ไม่รับ
24And having crucified him, they part his clothes amongst [themselves], casting lots on them, what each one should take.
24ครั้นเขาตรึงพระองค์ที่กางเขนแล้ว เขาก็เอาฉลองพระองค์จับสลากแบ่งปันกันเพื่อจะรู้ว่าใครจะได้อะไร
25And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
25เมื่อเขาตรึงพระองค์ไว้นั้นเป็นเวลาเช้าสามโมง
26And the superscription of what he was accused of was written up: The King of the Jews.
26มีข้อหาที่ลงโทษพระองค์เขียนไว้ข้างบนว่า "กษัตริย์ของพวกยิว"
27And with him they crucify two robbers, one on his right hand, and one on his left.
27เขาเอาโจรสองคนตรึงไว้พร้อมกับพระองค์ ข้างขวาคนหนึ่ง ข้างซ้ายคนหนึ่ง
28[And the scripture was fulfilled which says, And he was reckoned with the lawless.]
28คำซึ่งเขียนไว้ในพระคัมภีร์แล้วนั้นจึงสำเร็จ คือที่ว่า `ท่านถูกนับเข้ากับบรรดาผู้ละเมิด'
29And they that passed by reviled him, shaking their heads, and saying, Aha, thou that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days,
29ฝ่ายคนทั้งหลายที่เดินผ่านไปมานั้น ก็ด่าว่าพระองค์ สั่นศีรษะของเขากล่าวว่า "เฮ้ย เจ้าผู้จะทำลายพระวิหารและสร้างขึ้นในสามวันน่ะ
30save thyself, and descend from the cross.
30จงช่วยตัวเองให้รอดและลงมาจากกางเขนเถิด"
31In like manner the chief priests also, with the scribes, mocking with one another, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save.
31พวกปุโรหิตใหญ่กับพวกธรรมาจารย์ก็เยาะเย้ยพระองค์ในระหว่างพวกเขาเองเหมือนกันว่า "เขาช่วยคนอื่นให้รอดได้ แต่ช่วยตัวเองไม่ได้
32Let the Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and may believe. And they that were crucified with him reproached him.
32ให้เจ้าพระคริสต์ กษัตริย์แห่งอิสราเอล ลงมาจากกางเขนเดี๋ยวนี้เถอะ เพื่อเราจะได้เห็นและเชื่อ" และสองคนนั้นที่ถูกตรึงไว้กับพระองค์ก็กล่าวคำหยาบช้าต่อพระองค์
33And when [the] sixth hour was come, there came darkness over the whole land until [the] ninth hour;
33ครั้นเวลาเที่ยงก็บังเกิดมืดมัวทั่วแผ่นดินจนถึงบ่ายสามโมง
34and at the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, [saying], Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
34พอบ่ายสามโมงแล้ว พระเยซูทรงร้องเสียงดังว่า "เอโลอี เอโลอี ลามาสะบักธานี" แปลว่า "พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ พระเจ้าของข้าพระองค์ ไฉนพระองค์ทรงทอดทิ้งข้าพระองค์เสีย"
35And some of those who stood by, when they heard [it], said, Behold, he calls for Elias.
35บางคนที่ยืนอยู่ที่นั่นเมื่อได้ยินก็พูดว่า "ดูเถิด เขาเรียกเอลียาห์"
36And one, running and filling a sponge with vinegar, fixed it on a reed, and gave him to drink, saying, Let alone, let us see if Elias comes to take him down.
36มีคนหนึ่งวิ่งไปเอาฟองน้ำชุบน้ำองุ่นเปรี้ยว เสียบปลายไม้อ้อ ส่งให้พระองค์เสวย แล้วว่า "ปล่อยไว้อย่างนั้น ให้เราคอยดูว่า เอลียาห์จะมาปลดเขาลงหรือไม่"
37And Jesus, having uttered a loud cry, expired.
37ฝ่ายพระเยซูทรงร้องเสียงดัง แล้วทรงปล่อยพระวิญญาณจิตให้ออกไป
38And the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom.
38ขณะนั้นม่านในพระวิหารก็ขาดออกเป็นสองท่อน ตั้งแต่บนตลอดล่าง
39And the centurion who stood by over against him, when he saw that he had expired having thus cried out, said, Truly this man was Son of God.
39ส่วนนายร้อยที่ยืนอยู่ตรงพระพักตร์พระองค์ เมื่อเห็นว่าพระองค์ทรงร้องเสียงดังและทรงปล่อยพระวิญญาณจิตให้ออกไปแล้ว จึงพูดว่า "แท้จริงท่านผู้นี้เป็นพระบุตรของพระเจ้า"
40And there were women also looking on from afar off, among whom were both Mary of Magdala, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;
40มีพวกผู้หญิงมองดูอยู่แต่ไกล ในพวกผู้หญิงนั้นมีมารีย์ชาวมักดาลา มารีย์มารดาของยากอบน้อยและของโยเสส และนางสะโลเม
41who also, when he was in Galilee, followed him and ministered to him; and many others who came up with him to Jerusalem.
41(ผู้หญิงเหล่านั้นได้ติดตามและปรนนิบัติพระองค์ เมื่อพระองค์ยังอยู่ในแคว้นกาลิลี) และผู้หญิงอื่นอีกหลายคนที่ได้ขึ้นมายังกรุงเยรูซาเล็มกับพระองค์ได้อยู่ที่นั่น
42And when it was already evening, since it was [the] preparation, that is, [the day] before a sabbath,
42ครั้นถึงเวลาพลบค่ำ เหตุที่วันนั้นเป็นวันเตรียม คือวันก่อนวันสะบาโต
43Joseph of Arimathaea, an honourable councillor, who also himself was awaiting the kingdom of God, coming, emboldened himself and went in to Pilate and begged the body of Jesus.
43โยเซฟเป็นชาวบ้านอาริมาเธีย ซึ่งอยู่ในพวกสมาชิกสภาและเป็นที่นับถือของคนทั้งปวง ทั้งกำลังคอยท่าอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าด้วย จึงกล้าเข้าไปหาปีลาตขอพระศพพระเยซู
44And Pilate wondered if he were already dead; and having called to [him] the centurion, he inquired of him if he had long died.
44ปีลาตก็ประหลาดใจที่พระองค์สิ้นพระชนม์แล้ว จึงเรียกนายร้อยมาถามเขาว่า พระองค์ตายแล้วหรือ
45And when he knew from the centurion, he granted the body to Joseph.
45เมื่อได้รู้เรื่องจากนายร้อยแล้ว ท่านจึงมอบพระศพให้แก่โยเซฟ
46And having bought fine linen, [and] having taken him down, he swathed him in the fine linen, and laid him in a sepulchre which was cut out of rock, and rolled a stone to the door of the sepulchre.
46ฝ่ายโยเซฟได้ซื้อผ้าป่านเนื้อละเอียด และเชิญพระศพลงมาเอาผ้าป่านพันหุ้มไว้ แล้วเชิญพระศพไปประดิษฐานไว้ในอุโมงค์ซึ่งได้สกัดไว้ในศิลา แล้วกลิ้งก้อนหินปิดปากอุโมงค์ไว้
47And Mary of Magdala and Mary the [mother] of Joses saw where he was put.
47ฝ่ายมารีย์ชาวมักดาลา และมารีย์มารดาของโยเสส ได้เห็นที่ที่พระศพบรรจุไว้
