1And Jesus went forth and went away from the temple, and his disciples came to [him] to point out to him the buildings of the temple.
1ฝ่ายพระเยซูทรงออกจากพระวิหาร แล้วพวกสาวกของพระองค์มาชี้ตึกทั้งหลายในพระวิหารให้พระองค์ทอดพระเนตร
2And he answering said to them, Do ye not see all these things? Verily I say to you, Not a stone shall be left here upon a stone which shall not be thrown down.
2พระเยซูจึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "สิ่งสารพัดเหล่านี้พวกท่านเห็นแล้วมิใช่หรือ เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า ศิลาที่ซ้อนทับกันอยู่ที่นี่ ซึ่งจะไม่ถูกทำลายลงก็ไม่มี"
3And as he was sitting upon the mount of Olives the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be, and what is the sign of thy coming and [the] completion of the age?
3เมื่อพระองค์ประทับบนภูเขามะกอกเทศ พวกสาวกมาเฝ้าพระองค์ส่วนตัวกราบทูลว่า "ขอทรงโปรดให้ข้าพระองค์ทั้งหลายทราบว่า เหตุการณ์เหล่านี้จะบังเกิดขึ้นเมื่อไร สิ่งไรเป็นหมายสำคัญว่าพระองค์จะเสด็จมา และวาระสุดท้ายของโลกนี้"
4And Jesus answering said to them, See that no one mislead you.
4พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ระวังให้ดี อย่าให้ผู้ใดล่อลวงท่านให้หลง
5For many shall come in my name, saying, *I* am the Christ, and they shall mislead many.
5ด้วยว่าจะมีหลายคนมาต่างอ้างนามของเรา กล่าวว่า `เราเป็นพระคริสต์' เขาจะล่อลวงคนเป็นอันมากให้หลงไป
6But ye will hear of wars and rumours of wars. See that ye be not disturbed; for all [these things] must take place, but it is not yet the end.
6ท่านทั้งหลายจะได้ยินถึงเรื่องสงครามและข่าวลือเรื่องสงคราม คอยระวังอย่าตื่นตระหนกเลย ด้วยว่าบรรดาสิ่งเหล่านี้จำต้องบังเกิดขึ้น แต่ที่สุดปลายยังไม่มาถึง
7For nation shall rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom; and there shall be famines and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places.
7เพราะประชาชาติต่อประชาชาติ ราชอาณาจักรต่อราชอาณาจักรจะต่อสู้กัน ทั้งจะเกิดกันดารอาหารและโรคติดต่อร้ายแรงและแผ่นดินไหวในที่ต่างๆ
8But all these [are the] beginning of throes.
8เหตุการณ์ทั้งปวงนี้เป็นขั้นแรกแห่งความทุกข์ลำบาก
9Then shall they deliver you up to tribulation, and shall kill you; and ye will be hated of all the nations for my name's sake.
9ในเวลานั้นเขาจะมอบท่านทั้งหลายไว้ให้ทนทุกข์ลำบากและฆ่าท่านเสีย และประชาชาติต่างๆจะเกลียดชังพวกท่านเพราะนามของเรา
10And then will many be offended, and will deliver one another up, and hate one another;
10คราวนั้นคนเป็นอันมากจะถดถอยไปและทรยศกันและกัน ทั้งจะเกลียดชังซึ่งกันและกัน
11and many false prophets shall arise and shall mislead many;
11ผู้พยากรณ์เท็จหลายคนจะเกิดมีขึ้นและล่อลวงคนเป็นอันมากให้หลงไป
12and because lawlessness shall prevail, the love of the most shall grow cold;
12ความรักของคนเป็นอันมากจะเยือกเย็นลง เพราะความชั่วช้าจะแผ่กว้างออกไป
13but he that has endured to the end, *he* shall be saved.
13แต่ผู้ใดทนได้จนถึงที่สุด ผู้นั้นจะรอด
14And these glad tidings of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole habitable earth, for a witness to all the nations, and then shall come the end.
14ข่าวประเสริฐเรื่องอาณาจักรนี้จะได้ประกาศไปทั่วโลกให้เป็นคำพยานแก่บรรดาประชาชาติ แล้วที่สุดปลายจะมาถึง
15When therefore ye shall see the abomination of desolation, which is spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in [what is a] holy place, (he that reads let him understand,)
15เหตุฉะนั้น เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายเห็นสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนซึ่งกระทำให้เกิดการรกร้างว่างเปล่า ที่ดาเนียลศาสดาพยากรณ์ได้กล่าวถึงนั้น ตั้งอยู่ในสถานบริสุทธิ์" (ผู้ใดก็ตามที่ได้อ่านก็ให้ผู้นั้นเข้าใจเอาเถิด)
16then let those who are in Judaea flee to the mountains;
16"เวลานั้นให้ผู้ที่อยู่ในแคว้นยูเดียหนีไปยังภูเขา
17let not him that is on the house come down to take the things out of his house;
17ผู้ที่อยู่บนดาดฟ้าหลังคาบ้าน อย่าให้ลงมาเก็บข้าวของออกจากบ้านของตน
18and let not him that is in the field turn back to take his garment.
18ผู้ที่อยู่ตามทุ่งนา อย่าให้กลับไปเอาเสื้อผ้าของตน
19But woe to those that are with child, and those that give suck in those days.
19แต่ในวันเหล่านั้น อนิจจา น่าสงสารหญิงที่มีครรภ์ หรือมีลูกอ่อนกินนมอยู่
20But pray that your flight may not be in winter time nor on sabbath:
20จงอธิษฐานขอเพื่อการที่ท่านต้องหนีนั้นจะไม่ตกในฤดูหนาวหรือในวันสะบาโต
21for then shall there be great tribulation, such as has not been from [the] beginning of [the] world until now, nor ever shall be;
21ด้วยว่าในคราวนั้นจะเกิดความทุกข์ลำบากใหญ่ยิ่ง อย่างที่ไม่เคยมีตั้งแต่เริ่มโลกมาจนถึงทุกวันนี้ และในเบื้องหน้าจะไม่มีต่อไปอีก
22and if those days had not been cut short, no flesh had been saved; but on account of the elect those days shall be cut short.
22ถ้ามิได้ทรงให้วันเหล่านั้นย่นสั้นเข้า จะไม่มีเนื้อหนังใดๆรอดได้เลย แต่เพราะทรงเห็นแก่ผู้เลือกสรร จึงทรงให้วันเหล่านั้นย่นสั้นเข้า
23Then if any one say to you, Behold, here is the Christ, or here, believe [it] not.
23ในเวลานั้นถ้าผู้ใดจะบอกพวกท่านว่า `ดูเถิด พระคริสต์อยู่ที่นี่' หรือ `อยู่ที่โน่น' อย่าได้เชื่อเลย
24For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall give great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.
24ด้วยว่าจะมีพระคริสต์เทียมเท็จและผู้พยากรณ์เทียมเท็จหลายคนเกิดขึ้น และจะทำหมายสำคัญอันใหญ่และการมหัศจรรย์ ถ้าเป็นไปได้จะล่อลวงแม้ผู้ที่ทรงเลือกสรรให้หลง
25Behold, I have told you beforehand.
25ดูเถิด เราได้บอกท่านทั้งหลายไว้ก่อนแล้ว
26If therefore they say to you, Behold, he is in the desert, go not forth; behold, [he is] in the inner chambers, do not believe [it].
26เหตุฉะนั้น ถ้าใครจะบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า `ดูเถิด ท่านผู้นั้นอยู่ในถิ่นทุรกันดาร' ก็จงอย่าออกไป หรือจะว่า `ดูเถิด อยู่ที่ห้องใน' ก็จงอย่าเชื่อ
27For as the lightning goes forth from the east and shines to the west, so shall be the coming of the Son of man.
27ด้วยว่าฟ้าแลบมาจากทิศตะวันออกส่องไปจนถึงทิศตะวันตกฉันใด การเสด็จมาของบุตรมนุษย์ก็จะเป็นฉันนั้น
28[For] wherever the carcase is, there will be gathered the eagles.
28ซากศพอยู่ที่ไหน ฝูงนกอินทรีก็จะตอมกันอยู่ที่นั่น
29But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken.
29แต่พอสิ้นความทุกข์ลำบากแห่งวันเหล่านั้นแล้ว `ดวงอาทิตย์จะมืดไปและดวงจันทร์จะไม่ส่องแสง ดวงดาวทั้งปวงจะตกจากฟ้า และบรรดาสิ่งที่มีอำนาจในท้องฟ้าจะสะเทือนสะท้าน'
30And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the land lament, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
30เมื่อนั้นหมายสำคัญแห่งบุตรมนุษย์จะปรากฏขึ้นในท้องฟ้า `มนุษย์ทุกตระกูลทั่วโลกจะไว้ทุกข์' แล้วเขาจะเห็น `บุตรมนุษย์เสด็จมาบนเมฆในท้องฟ้า' ทรงฤทธานุภาพและสง่าราศีเป็นอันมาก
31And he shall send his angels with a great sound of trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from [the one] extremity of [the] heavens to [the other] extremity of them.
31พระองค์จะทรงใช้เหล่าทูตสวรรค์ของพระองค์มาด้วยเสียงแตรอันดังยิ่งนัก ให้รวบรวมคนทั้งปวงที่พระองค์ทรงเลือกสรรไว้แล้วทั้งสี่ทิศนั้น ตั้งแต่ที่สุดฟ้าข้างนี้จนถึงที่สุดฟ้าข้างโน้น
32But learn the parable from the fig-tree: When already its branch becomes tender and produces leaves, ye know that the summer is near.
32จงเรียนคำอุปมาเรื่องต้นมะเดื่อ เมื่อแตกกิ่งแตกใบ ท่านก็รู้ว่าฤดูร้อนใกล้จะถึงแล้ว
33Thus also *ye*, when ye see all these things, know that it is near, at the doors.
33เช่นนั้นแหละ เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายเห็นบรรดาสิ่งเหล่านั้น ก็ให้รู้ว่าพระองค์เสด็จมาใกล้จะถึงประตูแล้ว
34Verily I say to you, This generation will not have passed away until all these things shall have taken place.
34เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า คนชั่วอายุนี้จะไม่ล่วงลับไปก่อนสิ่งทั้งปวงนั้นจะสำเร็จ
35The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall in no wise pass away.
35ฟ้าและดินจะล่วงไป แต่คำของเราจะสูญหายไปหามิได้เลย
36But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of the heavens, but [my] Father alone.
36แต่วันนั้น โมงนั้น ไม่มีใครรู้ ถึงบรรดาทูตสวรรค์ก็ไม่รู้ รู้แต่พระบิดาของเราองค์เดียว
37But as the days of Noe, so also shall be the coming of the Son of man.
37ด้วยสมัยของโนอาห์ได้เป็นอย่างไร เมื่อบุตรมนุษย์เสด็จมาก็จะเป็นอย่างนั้นด้วย
38For as they were in the days which were before the flood, eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day on which Noe entered into the ark,
38เพราะว่าเมื่อก่อนวันน้ำท่วมนั้น คนทั้งหลายได้กินและดื่มกัน ทำการสมรสและยกให้เป็นสามีภรรยากัน จนถึงวันที่โนอาห์เข้าในนาวา
39and they knew not till the flood came and took all away; thus also shall be the coming of the Son of man.
39และน้ำท่วมมากวาดเอาเขาไปสิ้น โดยไม่ทันรู้ตัวฉันใด เมื่อบุตรมนุษย์เสด็จมาก็จะเป็นฉันนั้นด้วย
40Then two shall be in the field, one is taken and one is left;
40เมื่อนั้นชายสองคนอยู่ที่ทุ่งนา จะทรงรับคนหนึ่ง ทรงละคนหนึ่ง
41two [women] grinding at the mill, one is taken and one is left.
41หญิงสองคนโม่แป้งอยู่ที่โรงโม่ จะทรงรับคนหนึ่ง ทรงละคนหนึ่ง
42Watch therefore, for ye know not in what hour your Lord comes.
42เหตุฉะนั้นจงเฝ้าระวังอยู่ เพราะท่านไม่รู้ว่าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของท่านจะเสด็จมาเวลาไหน
43But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief was coming, he would have watched and not have suffered his house to be dug through [into].
43จงจำไว้ว่า ถ้าเจ้าของบ้านล่วงรู้ได้ว่าขโมยจะมายามไหน เขาจะตื่นอยู่และเฝ้าระวัง ไม่ให้ทะลวงเรือนของเขาได้
44Wherefore *ye* also, be ye ready, for in that hour that ye think not the Son of man comes.
44เหตุฉะนั้น ท่านทั้งหลายจงเตรียมพร้อมไว้ เพราะในโมงที่ท่านไม่คิดไม่ฝันนั้นบุตรมนุษย์จะเสด็จมา
45Who then is the faithful and prudent bondman whom his lord has set over his household, to give them food in season?
45ใครเป็นผู้รับใช้สัตย์ซื่อและฉลาด ที่นายได้ตั้งไว้เหนือพวกผู้รับใช้สำหรับแจกอาหารตามเวลา
46Blessed is that bondman whom his lord on coming shall find doing thus.
46เมื่อนายมาพบเขากระทำอยู่อย่างนั้น ผู้รับใช้ผู้นั้นก็จะเป็นสุข
47Verily I say unto you, that he will set him over all his substance.
47เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า นายจะตั้งเขาไว้ให้ดูแลบรรดาข้าวของของท่าน
48But if that evil bondman should say in his heart, My lord delays to come,
48แต่ถ้าผู้รับใช้นั้นชั่วและคิดในใจว่า `นายของข้าคงมาช้า'
49and begin to beat his fellow-bondmen, and eat and drink with the drunken;
49แล้วจะตั้งต้นโบยตีเพื่อนผู้รับใช้และกินดื่มอยู่กับเพื่อนขี้เมา
50the lord of that bondman shall come in a day when he does not expect it, and in an hour he knows not of,
50นายของผู้รับใช้ผู้นั้นจะมาในวันที่เขาไม่คิด ในโมงที่เขาไม่รู้
51and shall cut him in two and appoint his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
51และจะทำโทษเขาถึงสาหัส ทั้งจะขับไล่ให้เขาไปอยู่ในที่ของพวกคนหน้าซื่อใจคด ซึ่งที่นั่นจะมีแต่การร้องไห้ขบเขี้ยวเคี้ยวฟัน"
