1Therefore having been justified on the principle of faith, we have peace towards God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
1เหตุฉะนั้นเมื่อเราเป็นคนชอบธรรมเพราะความเชื่อแล้ว เราจึงมีสันติสุขกับพระเจ้าทางพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา
2by whom we have also access by faith into this favour in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God.
2โดยทางพระองค์ เราจึงได้เข้าในร่มพระคุณที่เรายืนอยู่โดยความเชื่อ และเราชื่นชมยินดีในความหวังใจว่าจะได้มีส่วนในสง่าราศีของพระเจ้า
3And not only [that], but we also boast in tribulations, knowing that tribulation works endurance;
3ยิ่งกว่านั้น เราชื่นชมยินดีในความทุกข์ยากด้วย เพราะเรารู้ว่าความทุกข์ยากนั้นทำให้เกิดความอดทน
4and endurance, experience; and experience, hope;
4และความอดทนทำให้เกิดมีประสบการณ์ และประสบการณ์ทำให้เกิดมีความหวังใจ
5and hope does not make ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by [the] Holy Spirit which has been given to us:

6for we being still without strength, in [the] due time Christ has died for [the] ungodly.

7For scarcely for [the] just [man] will one die, for perhaps for [the] good [man] some one might also dare to die;
7ไม่ใคร่จะมีใครตายเพื่อคนตรง แต่บางทีจะมีคนอาจตายเพื่อคนดีก็ได้
8but God commends *his* love to us, in that, we being still sinners, Christ has died for us.
8แต่พระเจ้าทรงสำแดงความรักของพระองค์แก่เราทั้งหลาย คือขณะที่เรายังเป็นคนบาปอยู่นั้น พระคริสต์ได้ทรงสิ้นพระชนม์เพื่อเรา
9Much rather therefore, having been now justified in [the power of] his blood, we shall be saved by him from wrath.
9เพราะเหตุนั้นเมื่อเราเป็นคนชอบธรรมแล้วโดยพระโลหิตของพระองค์ ยิ่งกว่านั้น เราจะพ้นจากพระพิโรธโดยพระองค์
10For if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much rather, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in [the power of] his life.
10เพราะว่าถ้าขณะที่เรายังเป็นศัตรู เราได้กลับคืนดีกับพระเจ้าโดยที่พระบุตรของพระองค์สิ้นพระชนม์ ยิ่งกว่านั้นอีกเมื่อเรากลับคืนดีแล้ว เราก็จะรอดโดยพระชนม์ชีพของพระองค์แน่
11And not only [that], but [we are] making our boast in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom now we have received the reconciliation.
11มิใช่เพียงเท่านั้น เราทั้งหลายยังชื่นชมยินดีในพระเจ้าโดยทางพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเรา เพราะโดยพระองค์นั้นเราจึงได้กลับคืนดีกับพระเจ้า
12For this [cause], even as by one man sin entered into the world, and by sin death; and thus death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
12เหตุฉะนั้นเช่นเดียวกับที่บาปได้เข้ามาในโลกเพราะคนๆเดียว และความตายก็เกิดมาเพราะบาปนั้น และความตายก็ได้แผ่ไปถึงมวลมนุษย์ทุกคน เพราะมนุษย์ทุกคนทำบาป
13(for until law sin was in [the] world; but sin is not put to account when there is no law;
13(บาปได้มีอยู่ในโลกแล้วก่อนมีพระราชบัญญัติ แต่ที่ใดไม่มีพระราชบัญญัติก็ไม่ถือว่ามีบาป
14but death reigned from Adam until Moses, even upon those who had not sinned in the likeness of Adam's transgression, who is [the] figure of him to come.
14อย่างไรก็ตามความตายก็ได้ครอบงำตลอดมาตั้งแต่อาดัมจนถึงโมเสส แม้คนที่มิได้ทำบาปอย่างเดียวกับการละเมิดของอาดัม ผู้ซึ่งเป็นแบบของผู้ที่จะเสด็จมาภายหลัง
15But [shall] not the act of favour [be] as the offence? For if by the offence of one the many have died, much rather has the grace of God, and the free gift in grace, which [is] by the one man Jesus Christ, abounded unto the many.
15แต่ของประทานแห่งพระคุณนั้นหาเป็นเช่นความละเมิดนั้นไม่ เพราะว่าถ้าคนเป็นอันมากต้องตายเพราะการละเมิดของคนๆเดียว มากยิ่งกว่านั้น พระคุณของพระเจ้าและของประทานโดยพระคุณของพระองค์ผู้เดียวนั้น คือพระเยซูคริสต์ ก็มีบริบูรณ์แก่คนเป็นอันมาก
16And [shall] not as by one that has sinned [be] the gift? For the judgment [was] of one to condemnation, but the act of favour, of many offences unto justification.
16และของประทานนั้นก็ไม่เหมือนกับผลซึ่งเกิดจากบาปของคนนั้นคนเดียว เพราะว่าการพิพากษาที่เกิดขึ้นเนื่องจากการละเมิดเพียงครั้งเดียวนั้น ได้นำไปสู่การลงโทษ แต่ของประทานภายหลังการละเมิดหลายครั้งนั้นนำไปสู่ความชอบธรรม
17For if by the offence of the one death reigned by the one, much rather shall those who receive the abundance of grace, and of the free gift of righteousness, reign in life by the one Jesus Christ:)
17เพราะว่าถ้าโดยการละเมิดของคนนั้นคนเดียว เป็นเหตุให้ความตายครอบงำอยู่โดยคนนั้นคนเดียว มากยิ่งกว่านั้นคนทั้งหลายที่รับพระคุณอันไพบูลย์และรับของประทานแห่งความชอบธรรม ก็จะดำรงชีวิตและครอบครองโดยพระองค์ผู้เดียว คือพระเยซูคริสต์)
18so then as [it was] by one offence towards all men to condemnation, so by one righteousness towards all men for justification of life.
18ฉะนั้นการพิพากษาลงโทษได้มาถึงคนทั้งปวงเพราะการละเมิดของคนๆเดียวฉันใด ความชอบธรรมของพระองค์ผู้เดียวก็นำของประทานแห่งพระคุณมาถึงทุกคนฉันนั้น คือความชอบธรรมแห่งชีวิต
19For as indeed by the disobedience of the one man the many have been constituted sinners, so also by the obedience of the one the many will be constituted righteous.
19เพราะว่าคนเป็นอันมากเป็นคนบาปเพราะคนๆเดียวที่มิได้เชื่อฟังฉันใด คนเป็นอันมากก็เป็นคนชอบธรรมเพราะพระองค์ผู้เดียวที่ได้ทรงเชื่อฟังฉันนั้น
20But law came in, in order that the offence might abound; but where sin abounded grace has overabounded,
20เมื่อมีพระราชบัญญัติก็ทำให้มีการละเมิดพระราชบัญญัติปรากฏมากขึ้น แต่ที่ใดมีบาปปรากฏมากขึ้น ที่นั่นพระคุณก็จะไพบูลย์ยิ่งขึ้น
21in order that, even as sin has reigned in [the power of] death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
21เพื่อว่าบาปได้ครอบงำทำให้ถึงซึ่งความตายฉันใด พระคุณก็ครอบงำด้วยความชอบธรรมให้ถึงซึ่งชีวิตนิรันดร์ โดยทางพระเยซูคริสต์องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าของเราฉันนั้น
