Wolof: New Testament

Revelation

10

1And I saw another strong angel coming down out of the heaven, clothed with a cloud, and the rainbow upon his head, and his countenance as the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire,
1 Noonu ma gis meneen malaaka mu am doole, muy wàcce asamaan, làmboo niir. Xon tiim ko, te xar-kanamam mel ni jant, te ay tànkam mel ni jumi safara.
2and having in his hand a little opened book. And he set his right foot on the sea, and the left upon the earth,
2 Yor na benn téere bu ndaw bu ñu ubbi. Mu teg tànku ndeyjooram ci géej gi, tànku càmmooñam ci suuf si,
3and cried with a loud voice as a lion roars. And when he cried, the seven thunders uttered their own voices.
3 di xaacu, mel ni gaynde guy yëmmu. Naka la xaacu, juróom-ñaari dënnu yi jib.
4And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write: and I heard a voice out of the heaven saying, Seal the things which the seven thunders have spoken, and write them not.
4 Naka la juróom-ñaari dënnu yi di jib, may waaj a bind, waaye ma dégg baat bu jóge asamaan, naan ma: «Li juróom-ñaari dënnu yi wax, na nekk kumpa, bu ko bind.»
5And the angel whom I saw stand on the sea and on the earth lifted up his right hand to the heaven,
5 Noonu malaaka ma ma gis, mu taxaw ci géej gi ak suuf si, yékkati loxol ndeyjooram, mu jëm asamaan,
6and swore by him that lives to the ages of ages, who created the heaven and the things that are in it, and the earth and the things that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that there should be no longer delay;
6 daldi waat ci kiy dund ba fàww, ki sàkk asamaan ak suuf ak géej ak li ci nekk lépp; mu ne: «Négandiku wees na,
7but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound the trumpet, the mystery of God also shall be completed, as he has made known the glad tidings to his own bondmen the prophets.
7 waaye jamono ju juróom-ñaareelu malaaka ma wolee ci liitam, ndogalu Yàlla dina mat, ni mu ko waxe woon ay jaamam, yonent yi.»
8And the voice which I heard out of the heaven [was] again speaking with me, and saying, Go, take the little book which is opened in the hand of the angel who is standing on the sea and on the earth.
8 Ci kaw loolu baat, ba ma déggoon ca asamaan waxaat ak man, ne ma: «Demal jël téere bi ñu ubbi ci loxob malaaka, mi taxaw ci géej gi ak suuf si.»
9And I went to the angel, saying to him to give me the little book. And he says to me, Take and eat it up: and it shall make thy belly bitter, but in thy mouth it shall be sweet as honey.
9 Ma dem ca malaaka ma, laaj ko téere bu ndaw boobu. Mu ne ma: «Jël ko te lekk ko. Dina wex ci sa biir, waaye dina neex ni lem ci sa gémmiñ.»
10And I took the little book out of the hand of the angel, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth as honey, sweet; and when I had eaten it my belly was made bitter.
10 Noonu ma jël téere bi ci loxob malaaka mi, daldi ko lekk, mu neex ci sama gémmiñ ni lem, waaye bi ma ko wannee, mu wex xat ci sama biir.
11And it was said to me, Thou must prophesy again as to peoples and nations and tongues and many kings.
11 Gannaaw loolu ñu ne ma: «Fàww nga wax ci kàddug Yàlla lu jëm ci réew yu bare, xeet yu bare, kàllaama yu bare ak buur yu bare.»
