Wolof: New Testament

Revelation

13

1And I stood upon the sand of the sea; and I saw a beast rising out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and upon its horns ten diadems, and upon its heads names of blasphemy.
1 Noonu ma gis génn ca géej ga, rab wu am fukki béjjén ak juróom-ñaari bopp. Ci kaw béjjénam ya amoon na fukki mbaxanay buur; ca bopp ya turi xarab Yàlla.
2And the beast which I saw was like to a leopardess, and its feet as of a bear, and its mouth as a lion's mouth; and the dragon gave to it his power, and his throne, and great authority;
2 Rab wa ma gis ma nga mel ni segg, tànk ya mel ni yu rab wu ñuy wax urs, gémmiñ ga mel ni gu gaynde. Ninkinànka ja jox ko kàttanam, nguuram ak sañ-sañam bu réy.
3and one of his heads [was] as slain to death, and his wound of death had been healed: and the whole earth wondered after the beast.
3 Benn ca bopp ya mel ni dafa gaañu ba dee. Waaye gaañu-gaañu ba daldi wér. Waa àddina sépp yéemu, daldi topp rab wa.
4And they did homage to the dragon, because he gave the authority to the beast; and they did homage to the beast, saying, Who [is] like to the beast? and who can make war with it?
4 Ñu jaamu ninkinànka ja ndax li mu joxoon sañ-sañ rab wa, di jaamu it rab wa, naan: «Rab wi amul moroom, kenn mënul a xeex ak moom.»
5And there was given to it a mouth, speaking great things and blasphemies; and there was given to it authority to pursue its career forty-two months.
5 Noonu mayees ko mu am gémmiñ, muy jey boppam te di xarab turu Yàlla. Mayees ko it sañ-sañu jëf ci kaw suuf diirub ñeent-fukki weer ak ñaar.
6And it opened its mouth for blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his name and his tabernacle, and those who have their tabernacle in the heaven.
6 Noonu mu tàmbalee xarab Yàlla, di xarab aw turam, dalam, ak ñi dëkk ci asamaan.
7And there was given to it to make war with the saints, and to overcome them; and there was given to it authority over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation;
7 Mayees ko, mu xare ak gaayi Yàlla yi te noot leen. Mayees ko it sañ-sañ ci kaw bépp giir, réew, kàllaama ak xeet.
8and all that dwell on the earth shall do it homage, [every one] whose name had not been written from [the] founding of [the] world in the book of life of the slain Lamb.
8 Waa àddina sépp dinañu ko jaamu, ñooñu ñu bindul seeni tur, li dale ci njàlbéenu àddina, ci téereb dund bu Mbote mi ñu rendi.
9If any one has an ear, let him hear.
9 Yaw mi am ay nopp, déglul.
10If any one [leads] into captivity, he goes into captivity. If any one shall kill with [the] sword, he must with [the] sword be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.
10 Ku Yàlla dogal,ñu war laa jàpp njaam,dinañu la jàpp njaam.Ku Yàlla dogal,ñu war laa rey ak jaasi,dinañu la rey ak jaasi. Looloo tax gaayi Yàlla yi war a muñ te takku.
11And I saw another beast rising out of the earth; and it had two horns like to a lamb, and spake as a dragon;
11 Noonu ma gis weneen rab di génn ci suuf. Am na ñaari béjjén yu mel ni yu mbote, waaye di wax ni ninkinànka.
12and it exercises all the authority of the first beast before it, and causes the earth and those that dwell in it to do homage to the first beast, whose wound of death was healed.
12 Muy jëf ak sañ-sañu rab wu jëkk wa ci turam, di sant waa àddina sépp, ñu jaamu rab wu jëkk, woowu am gaañu-gaañu ba ko rey, waaye daldi wér.
13And it works great signs, that it should cause even fire to come down from heaven to the earth before men.
13 Muy def kéemaan yu réy, ba dem sax bay wàcce ci kaw suuf safara su jóge asamaan, nit ñi di gis.
14And it deceives those that dwell upon the earth by reason of the signs which it was given to it to work before the beast, saying to those that dwell upon the earth to make an image to the beast, which has the wound of the sword, and lived.
14 Noonu mu nax waa àddina ci kéemaan, yi mu am sañ-sañu def ci turu rab wu jëkk wa. Mu sant waa àddina, ñu def nataalu rab, wi am gaañu-gaañub jaasi tey dund.
15And it was given to it to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should also speak, and should cause that as many as should not do homage to the image of the beast should be killed.
15 Mayees ko it, mu dundloo nataalu rab wa, waxloo ko, ba képp ku jaamuwul nataalu rab wa rekk ñu rey la.
16And it causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free and the bondmen, that they should give them a mark upon their right hand or upon their forehead;
16 Mu def it ba ñépp, mag ak ndaw, buur ak baadoolo, gor ak jaam, ñépp am màndarga ci seen loxol ndeyjoor walla ci seen jë,
17and that no one should be able to buy or sell save he that had the mark, the name of the beast, or the number of its name.
17 ba kenn du man a jënd mbaa mu jaay te amul màndargam rab wi, maanaam turam walla siifar bu mengoo ak turam.
18Here is wisdom. He that has understanding let him count the number of the beast: for it is a man's number; and its number [is] six hundred [and] sixty-six.
18 Lii nag mooy laaj xel: ku am xel dina man a waññ siifaru rab wi, ndaxte siifar boobu mengoo na ak bu nit, di juróom-benni téeméer ak juróom-benn-fukk ak juróom-benn.
