¹And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as a voice of thunder, Come [and see].

¹ Noonu ma gis Mbote ma dindi tayu gu jëkk ga, te ma daldi dégg kenn ca ñeenti mbindeef ya, di wax ak baat buy riir ni dënnu naan: «Ñëwal.»

²And I saw: and behold, a white horse, and he that sat upon it having a bow; and a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering and that he might conquer.

² Ma xool noonu, gis fas wu weex, gawar ba yor ag fitt. Ñu jox ko kaalag ndam, mu daldi dem moom jàmbaar ngir daani.

³And when it opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, Come [and see].

³ Mbote ma dindi na ñaareelu tayu ga, ma dégg ñaareelu mbindeef ma naan: «Ñëwal.»

⁴And another, a red horse, went forth; and to him that sat upon it, to him it was given to take peace from the earth, and that they should slay one another; and there was given to him a great sword.

⁴ Noonu weneen fas génn, di wu xonq, gawar ba jot sañ-sañu jële jàmm ci kaw suuf, ngir nit ñi di reyante ci seen biir. Ñu jox ko jaasi ju mag.

⁵And when it opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, Come [and see]. And I saw: and behold, a black horse, and he that sat upon it having a balance in his hand.

⁵ Mu dindi ñetteelu tayu ga, ma dégg ñetteelu mbindeef ma ne: «Ñëwal.» Ma xool, gis fas wu ñuul, gawar ba yor ab peesekaay.

⁶And I heard as a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, A choenix of wheat for a denarius, and three choenixes of barley for a denarius: and do not injure the oil and the wine.

⁶ Ma dégg baat bu jollee ca diggante ñeenti mbindeef ya, naan: «Peyug bëccëgu lëmm ngir benn kilob ceeb, peyug bëccëgu lëmm ngir ñetti kiloy dugub, waaye bul yàq diw ak biiñ.»

⁷And when it opened the fourth seal, I heard [the voice of] the fourth living creature saying, Come [and see].

⁷ Mu dindi ñeenteelu tayu ga, ma dégg ñeenteelu mbindeef ma naan: «Ñëwal.»

⁸And I saw: and behold, a pale horse, and he that sat upon it, his name [was] Death, and hades followed with him; and authority was given to him over the fourth of the earth to slay with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and by the beasts of the earth.

⁸ Ma xool noonu, gis fas wu wert, gawar baa nga tuddoon Dee te barsàq a nga toppoon ci moom. Ñu jox ko sañ-sañ ci ñeenteelu xaaju àddina sépp, ngir mu faat ak jaasi, xiif, mbas ak rabi àll yi.

⁹And when it opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of them that had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held;

⁹ Mu dindi juróomeelu tayu ga, ma gis ca suufu saraxalukaay, ba ñuy taal cuuraay ca kawam, ruuwi ñi ñu bóom ndax seede si ñu doon sàmm ak li ñu gëmoon kàddug Yàlla.

¹⁰and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O sovereign Ruler, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell upon the earth?

¹⁰ Ñuy xaacu naan: «Boroom bu sell bi te dëggu, ba kañ ngay nég àtte bi te feyyul nu sunu deret ci waa àddina?»

¹¹And there was given to them, to each one a white robe; and it was said to them that they should rest yet a little while, until both their fellow-bondmen and their brethren, who were about to be killed as they, should be fulfilled.

¹¹ Ñu jox leen ku nekk mbubb mu weex, daldi leen ne, ñu muñ tuuti, ba kera seeni nawle ñëw, te lim bi mat — seeni nawle ci liggéey bi, di seeni bokk yu waa àddina waroon a bóom ni ñoom.

¹²And I saw when it opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as hair sackcloth, and the whole moon became as blood,

¹² Ma xool, ba muy dindi juróom-benneelu tayu ga. Noonu mu am yengu-yengub suuf bu mag, jant bi ñuul ni këriñ, weer wi xonq curr ni deret.

¹³and the stars of heaven fell upon the earth, as a fig tree, shaken by a great wind, casts its unseasonable figs.

¹³ Biddiiw yi fàqe asamaan, di daanu ci kaw suuf, ni doomi garab yu yolox di wadd, bu ko ngelaw lu metti dee yengal.

¹⁴And the heaven was removed as a book rolled up, and every mountain and island were removed out of their places.

¹⁴ Asamaan si dellu ni basaŋ gu ñuy taxañ, tund yépp ak dun yépp randoo fa ñu nekkoon.

¹⁵And the kings of the earth, and the great, and the chiliarchs, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains;

¹⁵ Noonu buuri àddina si, kilifa yi, njiiti xare yi, boroom alal yi, boroom kàttan yi, jaam yi ak gor yi, ñépp làqatuji ci xunti yi ak ci ron doji tund yi.

¹⁶and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and have us hidden from [the] face of him that sits upon the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb;

¹⁶ Ñu naan tund yi ak doj yi: «Daanuleen ci sunu kaw te nëbb nu bëti ki toog ci gàngune mi ak meru Mbote mi,

¹⁷because the great day of his wrath is come, and who is able to stand?

¹⁷ ndaxte bés bu mag, bi seen mer di feeñ, agsi na! Ku ci man a rëcc?»
